Enticed by a Thug Love

  “I’m not tired just yet.”

“I’m sorry for what you saw. My family and I are from the Streets, sometimes things like that happen.”

She put her hand up to stop me.

“I’m not judging you. My family used to be in the streets too and I saw more than that when I was younger.”

Shorty definitely had a story and I found myself wanting to know more and her.

Instead of going to sleep, we sat up for hours just talking about everything. I even told her about my life growing up; something I hadn’t done before. But A’Moya had this peaceful presence about her. She held on to every word I spoke and I knew it wasn’t just because she needed to read my lips. I knew she was genuinely interested in what I had to say.

By the time morning came, I made us something to eat, and dropped her off after Wrath let me know that a meeting was being held at my Uncle’s house about last night.

Once I dropped A’Moya to her parents’ house, I made my way to my Uncle’s crib.

Everyone was there when I pulled up and I used my key to go inside.

I found my Uncle, brothers and pops in my Uncle’s office.

“Okay, we’re all here.” My Unc called out as I dapped my brothers up. I shook hands with my Uncle and just nodded to my pops.

We never shook hands, hugged or dapped in greeting; it was always nothing more than a head nod on either side.

“Y’all already know why I called everyone here, now what the fuck happened?!” Unc barked and then he turned his eyes to Wrath. As the eldest and King of the family empire, I knew my Unc would be looking to him for answers.

“We got caught slipping pops. My fault.”

I shook my head because this wasn’t all on Wrath. If I wasn’t looking at A’Moya I would have seen that nigga rushing up on me like that.

“Wrath, you still haven’t found out who the fuck this crew is?!” Unc angrily questioned.

Wrath expelled a long breath through his nose and ran a hand down the back of his neck.

“Pops for real, I thought all that shit was dead after I got rid of Richard and his block boys.”

  “Well obviously it’s not.”

“Ain’t you supposed to be the hitta of the group?” My pops called out with his eyes fixed on me. “From what I heard, you almost got shot. And a nigga almost got the best of you.” He smirked and I just sat there staring at him.

“I also heard that a bitch had to help you.”

It wasn’t him knowing that pissed me off because I already knew he had his spies around watching what the fuck I did, hence why he knew about the night I got shot, but it was the bullshit that was coming out of his mouth.

He was pushing my buttons and I wasn’t going to sit around to give him the satisfaction.

“Uncle, we won’t slip up again.” I addressed my Unc and stood to my feet to leave after telling my bros I will catch up with them. It was better for me to remove myself from the situation before I fucked that nigga up.

My pops looked at me, tutted while shaking his head.

“This is the second time a bitch became a distraction for you, Pharaoh.”

Once those words left his mouth, all reasons went out of me too.

I spun around on my heels and charged that motherfucker. Without warning, my fist connected with his face and I kept on pounding his shit in until Wrath got a hold of me and pulled me up off of him.

“Fuck you motherfucker!!!! You ain’t shit to me but another nigga. Fuck you!!!” I thundered at that nigga as Wrath and Surge pulled me out of the room.

My Uncle just stood there shocked wondering what the hell was going on.

That was the first time I had ever attacked my father and shown just how much I hated that motherfucker.

“Yo bro, what the hell was that?” Wrath asked me after they pulled me outside of the house to calm down.

With my hands pushed into my jeans, I paced the ground trying to calm myself down.

Everything inside of me was telling me to go back inside and kill him with my bare hands because he knew exactly what the fuck he was doing when he said what he did.

“Legion, what’s good kid?” Surge walked over and put a hand on my shoulder and I turned to look at him. “What’s going on?” He asked me and I sighed.

I looked at my cousins who I saw as my brothers and although I knew that I could trust them, I knew that I could never tell them what my dad did to me when I was a child.

Not for any other reason than me not wanting them to know how much of a damaged monster I really was.

They joked around all the time when I would tell them that I was but they had no idea how serious I was being!

“Nothing Surge. Just let it go.” I told him.

“I’m out.” I said as they both stood there looking at me with a confused expression on their faces.

Taking that as my chance, I hopped in my car and sped away.

  Meshach ‘Guns’ Ramsey

My Uncle laid on the ground trying hard to stop the blood that was pouring from his nose. I had never seen Legion act like that to my Uncle before and it had me wondering what the hell happened between them why he was like that, but I had other shit to be worrying and dealing with.

Since my Pops was busy asking my Uncle what the hell was going on, I quietly slipped out of the room and the house. I found Surge and Wrath outside talking and seeing that Legion’s car was gone, I knew that he had left.

“Yo, where you about to go?” Wrath stopped talking to Surge and called out to me.

“Home to sleep, it’s been a long fucking night.”

He nodded, stepped around Surge and walked over to me.

“I’m sorry about last night, that was my fuck up. I got comfortable.” I stood there and watched the sincerity in my brother’s eyes. He was truly sorry but that didn’t stop the anger I felt rise inside of me.

My pops didn’t even ask him to step down or anything like that!

When I heard my pops called a meeting, I was secretly praying he would blame Wrath for us almost getting killed last night and see his incompetence but instead all he did was give my brother a slap on the wrist and tell him to fix it.

Had that have been me, my pops would have stripped me off everything.

Wrath gave me a funny look letting me realize that he was still waiting on a response from me.

“That wasn’t on you bro. It’s all good.” It pained me to say but I had to play the part.

“Watch your back, bro. Promise me.”

  “I will.”

“Hit me up later, okay?” He demanded and after promising that I would, we hugged and I left after saluting Surge on my way to my car.

My mind was all over the place as I drove to my destination. By the time I arrived, my anger still hadn’t subsided.

I jumped out of my car, after barely turning it off, and stormed into the building.

“What the fuck was that last night?!!! I’m not paying you motherfuckers to shoot at us, the fuck!!!” I yelled at Bully and his crew.

“Y’all better back the fuck up before I kill y’all myself!!!”

They all turned to look at me and then Bully rose from his seat.

His face was stiff as he walked over to me. With a hand on my shoulder, he led me away from the crew so they couldn’t hear what he had to say.

“Guns, that’s my bad. Originally, that was the plan but I guess my nephew didn’t get the new information. Maybe Richard forgot to do that before Wrath killed him.” He said looking me in the eyes.

“Make this the last mistake Bully. On God, you don’t wanna cross me.”

Bully’s face clenched and he quickly recovered giving me a small smile.

  “You’re the boss.”

Knocking his hand off my shoulder, I walked back out of the warehouse, got in my car and drove away.

“Fuck!” I banged a fist on my dashboard.

This wasn’t what the fuck I wanted.

First my love thought it wo
uld be better if she got a crew together to kill my brothers and now this new crew was on that same bullshit.

I wanted to believe that this was just a miscommunication in Bully’s crew but the churning in my stomach was telling me it was something else.

Those niggas last night came for our blood.

The way they were shooting at us, wasn’t no joke—me included! I could see it in their eyes, they were there to kill us and even me being the motherfucker who was paying them didn’t mean fuck all to them.

I was actually fighting for my life last night along with my brothers.

Bully’s words floated around my head and I found myself questioning it.

When was it ever the plan to kill my brothers?

Richard and I had been planning this takeover for almost a year and not once did we discuss my brothers being killed, so I had no idea why Bully would have told his peoples that from the beginning.

But unfortunately, Richard was dead so I couldn’t even ask him.

From dealing with him, all he wanted was to be recognized for the work he put in—which Wrath wasn’t doing—but he never expressed any hate toward my brother. He just wanted someone else in charge.

As I held the steering wheel with one hand, the other ran across my mouth as I thought.

Hearing my cell phone receive a message stopped my thoughts and when I pulled up to a red light, I picked it up to see who had texted me.

My love: I’m at the condo baby. Can you come to me?

Feeling like I needed to be around my girl for a second, I hastily texted back to tell her that I was on my way and busted a U-turn to get to her.

I wasn’t expecting to see her today because usually she was with her dude but I was thankful for it.

When I pulled up to the condo, I didn’t even have to open the door because she did it for me and I smiled to see that she had nothing on but a sheer silk robe.

Licking my lips, I bent down and scooped her up into my arms.

“I missed you baby.” She cooed kissing all over my face as I kicked the door closed behind me.

“I missed you too baby. I wasn’t expecting to see you today.”

After a few more pecks on her lips, I set her down on her feet.

“I know but something else has his attention today.”

“Last night.” I sighed and she nodded.

The thoughts I was having on the way over here, hit me again and I walked over to the sofa, dropped my body down onto it and cupped my face in my hands.

“Baby, what’s wrong? He doesn’t know I’m here.” She said and I lifted my head to look up at her.

  “That’s not it.”

She took a seat beside me and ran a hand along my arm.

  “Well what’s wrong?”

“Last night! That shit wasn’t supposed to happen, they were trying to kill us. Me included.”

  Her eyes widened.

  “Are you sure?”

I gave her funny look and said, “baby girl if a motherfucker is aiming at your head with a gun, I’m pretty sure that nigga is trying to kill you.”

There was a point last night when I almost took a bullet to the head—the shit clipped my ear—so I fucking knew they were not playing around with us.

I watched as she looked around before looking at me again.

“Did you talk to them? Maybe it was a mistake, I don’t know.”

I sighed. “I did but I’m thinking that maybe what I’m doing is the mistake. Baby, I love my brothers man; I shouldn’t be doing this shit.”

From the niggas ran up on us last night, I had been second guessing doing this. Thoughts of just talking about how I felt, kept coming to mind.

All I wanted was to be included, to feel like I was actually a part of the family not just that they bothered with me because they had to but the shit that was going on, wasn’t what I wanted at all.

My gut was telling me that Bully was up to something else.

I didn’t know the nigga and I only approached him because I found him following my brother Wrath. But now, I was feeling like that was a mistake.

Maybe I could just talk to Wrath.

My love climbed off the sofa and stood in front of me.

“Was that the only reason you were doing this Guns? I thought it was about us?”

I sat back and took in her beautiful features. She was right, being the head wasn’t the only reason why I started all this shit—it was her.

Deep down inside, I knew that I could never have her how I wanted if I didn’t become the King.

Our relationship was dependent on that fact—unfortunately.

My love stepped between my legs and hugged around my neck. Feeling her stomach pressed against the side of my face, I closed my eyes and took in her wonderful scent. My hands ran up and down the back of her smooth legs.

She reached down, took one of my hands and placed it on the hem of her panties. I quickly pulled her panties down her thighs and she stepped out of it.

Once she did, she reached over, unzipped my pants, pulled out my hard dick and sat down on it.

My eyes closed and I hissed after feeling her warm walls wrap around my shaft.

“Don’t you want us together anymore, Guns?” She sexily groaned while wounding her hips deeply on me making me bit into my bottom lip.

“Yessss baby I do.” I admitted.

“Well, we can only be together if you become the King, Guns. I wanna be with you so much, I love you; not him. Please don’t give up on us. You’re doing this for us, Guns.” She panted bouncing harder and faster on my dick.

“Fuckkkk, I love you too baby.”

Her pussy clamped on my shit and I lost it.

With an arm around her waist, I stood to my feet, grabbed her ass and pounded her pussy.

“Shit! I love you Guns!!!” She whimpered.

  “I love you too baby.”

We locked eyes and all the love I had for her poured out of me and entered her as I let my seeds go deep into her.

“Shit. Shit.” I hissed and panted with my head leaned against hers and my eyes closed.

“We are doing this for our future Guns. You know they won’t let us be together any other way.” She said lowly and I opened my eyes to look at her.

She was right. This was the only way.

“For us baby.” I said and placed a sloppy kiss on her juicy pouty lips.

  “For us.”

  They never liked me anyway!

  Part VI

  Alvaro ‘Wrath’ Ramsey

  Two weeks later

Just like before, shit had died down and gone quiet. Other than the night they tried to kill us in Rondell’s club, the crew hadn’t made another move or sound.

The shit was pissing me the fuck off because I couldn’t find out who they were! It was like they knew and was watching us. And that was fucking with me because I was hoping Richard and his block boys were it and it was just a feeling.

I didn’t want to believe another snake was in my camp but the way this crew were moving like ghosts had me believing that. They were not only eluding me but not even Detective Baker could find shit out on them other than them being a group of foreigners.

After that night, Detective Baker found out that they were from Monserrat too. That shit was weird as fuck because I still didn’t know anybody from that country, so I had no idea why they had an issue with me!

Pops was calling almost every day to ask me if I found them, my brothers were looking to me for answers and I didn’t have a fucking clue which way to turn.

The only thing I was for sure about was that Richard wasn’t the one leading it. Now, I was finally seeing that he just allowed me to believe that to turn my attention away from who was and I hated to admit it, but it worked.

Maybe I should just kill the fucking crew and start again. Was something I had been thinking about for a minute.

At this point I didn’t trust anyone but my fucking brothers.

  And to make matters wor
se, my trap was hit last night by Trojan’s crew and I was yet to deal with that shit.

Shit was really coming at me from all corners!

Yawning, I stretched my body out and climbed off my bed. I looked at the time and shook my head.

It was ten in the morning and I probably went to bed at six, but I couldn’t sleep anyway even if I wanted to.

Everything around me was fucking with me to the point I couldn’t sleep more than a few hours.

Fixing the covers back on my bed, I headed to the bathroom to start my day.

Thirty minutes later and I was walking into the kitchen.

“Girl, you tried it.” Ma playfully pushed Kanada and the two fell out laughing.

I stood there smiling admiring the view.

Kanada had really come out of her shell over the past six weeks. She was doing well at work and after talking to the staff, I found out that they all liked her. She was a pleasant person to be around and I found she was even talking more with me and Ma.

The more I got to know her, the more I felt fucked up for judging her but she assured me often that she was over that.

“Good morning.” I called out and they both looked back at me with a smile.

  “Good morning, baby.” Ma waved.

  “Good morning, Alvaro.” Kanada smiled.

I went over to the fridge to get myself a glass of orange juice.

“Girl hurry up with my breakfast.” Ma called out and I almost dropped the carton of juice on the floor.

I had to blink a few times to see if I was really seeing what was happening in front of me.

Ma sat around the kitchen island, knocking her knife and fork against the marble as she impatiently waited for Kanada to bring her breakfast over. But the real shock was that Kanada was the one cooking!

Something I failed to notice when I walked in.

When I tell y’all that my grandmother didn’t eat from anybody, I meant that! She didn’t even eat from my damn mama. Whenever we had a family dinner, Ma was the one to cook and she didn’t allow anybody to help her.

Her excuse was that she didn’t trust anybody but herself.

All I could do was stand there with my mouth open and eyes wide as Kanada fixed Ma’s plate, put it in front of her and Ma started eating.
