“I don’t know… I think that I could certainly top you on a good night.” She then lowered her voice to a whisper and said, “I think we should find out tonight.”

Trent felt electricity race through his body. He couldn’t stop the goosebumps for raising on his arms. Despite the fact that he was exhausted from their trip, she still somehow managed to raise his energy level. “Oh yeah? Well why wait until tonight tough gal? You afraid to put up right now?”

Kristina sucked his lower lip into her mouth and kissed him deeply before whispering in his ear, “Because you stink.”

Trent pulled back and his eyes were wide with shock. “Kristina! Ugh! Why are you such a tease? I finally get you alone and you want to do this?! You’re killing me.”

“Mmm… I’ll make you a deal. We’ll get settled and freshen up, then after say dinner we spend all night just wrapped up in one another? Besides, I can’t have you thinking I’m easy now can I?”

“Oh baby trust me, you’re everything but easy.”

“Haha, God you’re so fucking sexy when you’re sarcastic. You’ll pay for that later.”

  “Promise?”

  “Promise.”

Together they finished exploring their lavish room. Other than a crème and romantic grey color palette, infused with touches of red with fresh roses and low, red lighting surrounding their steaming hot tub, they were pleased to see that the room also came with some complimentary champagne and plenty of massage oils. “Well we’re definitely going to be making use of all this later. Tommy thought of everything didn’t he?”

“Yeah, I’m a bit upset though.”

  “Why’s that Kristina?”

“It wouldn’t have killed you to think of something, you big lug.”

“Haha. Just get your ass in the shower… I may have a few surprises in store yet. You never give me a chance to show you I can be impulsive.”

“Fine. Let’s just get a shower and go from there.”

Trent pulled Kristina towards the rather large single bathroom the suite had. It contained a large walk-in shower, sink, and toilet. The color scheme in the room was also designed to be tranquil yet romantic. The hand-cut grey stones lined the shower walls and was complemented by flat, black tiles on the floor. There were several vents throughout the bottom of the floor and Trent smiled and said, “Nice. Look, it’s heated. This is going to be amazing. I feel like I can finally just relax.”

Kristina wasted no time in turning on the shower spray. She liked hot showers so she turned up the heat level. This was one area in which Trent eagerly agreed on her with. He loved the feeling of the heat massaging his often tired muscles. In his line of work, he always felt somewhat cleaner as well once the hot water hit his skin. He supposed it was his latent Catholic desire to wash away the sin from the crimes he committed. As the steam grew in the shower, he quickly unbuttoned his pale blue shirt. It was one of the nicer things he owned and Kristina smugly insisted that he clean up a bit before they travelled. He hated the fact that she liked some of the finer things in life, but he hated the fact more that she had him wrapped around her finger. Every time she looked at him with her luminous eyes, his heart stopped and it seemed like all the air left the room. He could only focus on her desires and she took full advantage of her ability.

He shrugged the thin fabric off his rounded, muscular shoulders and let it fall to the floor, crumbled. He then flashed Kristina a wicked smile as he loosed his belt and quickly pulled it from the loops of his designer jeans. He often found himself self-conscious at the fact that whenever he stooped to tie his shoelaces or even bend over to pick up anything from the ground, he could feel Kristina staring at his ass. She would then bite her lip when he turned around and would even blush. He made a mental note that he need to wear them more often. Kristina eyed his body and took a few steps toward him. She smiled at him then let her black silk tank hang over her head for a few moments before she casually dropped it to the floor. It landed with Trent’s shirt and the fabric mingled a few moments before the pile also collected Trent’s belt, those designer jeans that Kristina loved, and Kristina’s black lace panties.

“Damn. Fuck, Kristina, I love those. I had no clue you were going to be wearing those or I think I would have already tried to get you out of them.”

“Well…consider it your reward for behaving and not looking like a slob today.”

“I think I can do that every day.”

“We’ll have to go shopping together then… I’ve heard there are some very elegant stores on the strip.”

  “Mmm…come here.”

  Chapter 2

Trent wrapped his arms around Kristina’s neck and took her hair down from its tight bun. He watched with a grin as she tossed it down and the strands twirled down her back. Her red hair matched with her porcelain skin was enough to turn Trent on, but he was unable to conceal his arousal any longer when she grabbed his ass and promptly pulled down his tight, white boxer briefs adding them to the pile of clothes which already existed. He let out a groan as she freed his hardness. She smiled at him and unfastened her matching black lace bra, revealing her smooth, firm breasts. He groaned once more and she moved him closer to the shower spray.

They both felt the warm hit their naked bodies and she whispered in his ear, “Poor thing. How long have you been like that? I feel like I owe you an apology.”

“Oh no. No. Kristina, you never owe me an apology for anything.”

“Well I had no clue that you were in this much need. You should have said something.”

  “Oh God… Kristina… just fuck.”

Her sultry voice combined with the feel of her nails on his back then suddenly rubbing his soft, short tuft of chest hair caused him to involuntarily move his hips toward her. She looked at him and pulled him closer to her. She looked up into his warm, green eyes and say nothing but passion reflected back. She sucked his bottom lip into her mouth and feeling the need to ease him of his affliction, let her hands fall to his stiff cock. She gently massaged him and he moaned into her mouth. He remembered her promise for later that evening though and suddenly took her hands within his own, regaining control of their coupling. He then hungrily bit at her lip while pressing her against the back of the shower. He began to trail kisses down the side of her neck and paused for a few moments before sucking one of her already wet nipples into his mouth, making her shiver even under the hot spray and moan. “Trent…what are you doing?”

“I think that if you want a proper shower you better stop me now, because if you don’t I’m going to fuck you right now. Don’t forget though, you already promised me that once we got a few minutes to relax and get refreshed I’d have you any way I wanted you tonight. I intend to hold you to that promise one way or another, ma’am.”

“Oh yeah…how do you intend to do that?”

“Oh let’s just say that I slipped a few extra surprises in our luggage. I came prepared to make the most of every moment we have together Kristina. I’ve waited for year, so I can wait until tonight.”

  “Yeah? Is that a promise?”

“Oh Kristina I’ve got you under my skin. It’s my state of being now.”

“Dammit Trent! I wanted you to be softer, but sigh... you never cease to amaze me. I can honestly say that out of all the men I’ve been with you’re the one I think I’m going to keep.”

Without warning, Trent then turned Kristina around and began massaging her neck. She rolled back into his arms and let his hands relax her body. The bathroom was quickly filling up with steam and even the mirrors had begun to fog up. “Lean back and let me wash your hair. We’ve got to get out of here before we accidently set off the smoke alarm or something.”

Kristina and Trent laughed while letting each other touch and caress one another while lathering up in the sweet aroma of their fresh-scented body washes. Of course, Kristina insisted on Trent using her signature shampoo and Trent inhaled the scent of strawberries as they stood in front of the mirror, wiping off the ste
am after they turned off the water in the shower. “So… I know you said that I don’t ever do anything spontaneous, but…. I have a surprise for you. I’m going to go in the other room and get ready. Take your time. I’ll see you soon.” Trent kissed the side of her shoulder before he quickly walked out of the room leaving Kristina naked and also bewildered. Maybe she had been wrong about his stoic character and perhaps even after all of these years there was a hidden aspect to Trent that she was yet to see.

After leaving Kristina to get ready, Trent walked into the bedroom area to sort through his luggage, which he left until last to unpack. He pulled out another pair of designer jeans that he knew Kristina would love and also a bright blue shirt that was crisp and new. He then took his time trimming his beard, which he was allowing to grow out to cover his entire face and put on some of her favorite cologne. Not wanting to miss the opportunity to surprise her he made a quick call to the front desk to confirm the surprise he’d already set up before they even left for their trip. He knew that one of Kristina’s quirks was that she enjoyed older music…so it being Vegas, he decided to hire an Elvis impersonator to serenade her during dinner. He only hoped that the performer’s choice of song was one that was appropriate.

While he smiled to himself thinking of how nice a memory they would have from the event, Kristina walked into the bedroom. “Well… I’m ready, so what are we going to do?”

Trent looked up from his phone and saw Kristina standing in the doorway. She was a vision wearing a tight white dress that hugged her curves. She even wore sandals for the first time that Trent could remember in years. Her legs were smooth and it appeared that she’d just applied moisturizer to them as they shimmered in the low light. His eyes then roamed up her body and finally fell on her face. Her makeup was flawless and the only thing that stood out to him once he reached that point were the pools of liquid electricity that were her eyes. She cleared her throat as she noted the effect her presence had on her mafia man. “Ahem. Trent… did you hear me? I asked you a question.”

Trent paled and then he refocused his attention on the words coming from her mouth. “Um… yeah. Come on. I have a special evening planned for us downstairs. You…wow. You look amazing, Kristina.”

She looked at him and gave him a slight wink before replying with an almost shy, “Thank you. Go ahead and lead the way…remember I’m on your arm tonight.”

“I think a guy could get used to a woman like you clinging to his arm. At least I wouldn’t take one day of it for granted.”

“Good to hear. Now can we please go? I don’t know how much longer I can stand to see you standing there looking that handsome and not back you into the corner.”

“Hah! We’ve already discussed this earlier and you’re not going to top me… at least not tonight.”

“Hmm… we’ll see I do have a way with words sometimes.”

“I guess we’ll see. Come on… the bed will be waiting for us when we get back.”

They walked downstairs arm in arm to the lobby and even though the evening was already planned, Trent decided to put on a show for Kristina. He hoped the desk clerk would play along. Trent asked for a dinner recommendation and the clerk advised they go to the restaurant already located inside the hotel. It was a trendy establishment with a dress code, which of course they both had already complied with. They walked into the restaurant and Trent flashed the host a brilliant smile. “Hi. I had a reservation under Salvatore. Trent Salvatore.”

“Ah. Very good sir, I’m pleased to see you this evening. Is this your dining companion?”

  “Yes, this is Kristina.”

“Well it’s nice to meet you Kristina, may I say you look lovely tonight.”

“Wow. Thank you very much, I appreciate that. Maybe you can teach this big lug here some better manners. At least you can teach him how to compliment a lady the right way.”

“Hah. Well… I would but that would cost extra.”

Trent and Kristina both laughed at his joke and he walked them to a table located near the bar and at the back of the restaurant. “Will this table be appropriate, sir?”

“Yes, thank you sir. That will do nicely, I appreciate your service.”

“Before I go would you like to see the wine list?”

Trent looked at Kristina, who smiled politely. “No we’ll just order wine with the meal, right now though you can bring me a diet soda. Trent what would you like?”

Trent seemed puzzled by Kristina’s choice of beverage, but deferred to her choice. I’ll have the same, but lose the diet. Any dark soda is fine with me.”

“Very well, I’ll see you two shortly and I’ll give you some time to look over the menu.”

Trent looked at Kristina in earnest and asked, “Hey are you feeling okay? It’s not like you to only order soda? I mean…we’re in Las Vegas…we’re on vacation… I think it’s okay if you loosened up a little.”

“Hahah! I see you’ve already forgotten our conversation earlier. You know what just the right mix of alcohols will do to me. Like I’ve already planned, you’re not going to get the upper hand in the bedroom tonight Trent. It’s time you just faced that fact.”

“Oh… I see! Well then you won’t mind if I have a nice Scotch afterwards.”

“Oh not all. In fact I’d rather.”

“Hmm… that still doesn’t change the fact that I have other surprises planned.”

After a few moments the waiter came back out and took their orders. He was prompt and did his best to not intervene on their obviously private moment. Kristina had once again ordered an exotic salad while Trent decided that he wanted the best cut of steak on the menu and he ordered it rare. “Eww… after all these years, I’m surprised that you still eat your steak like that. I’m also surprised that you don’t have worms or something by now.”

“Haha! Worms….what am I Kristina? A dog? Nah…I don’t eat them often enough like this to get sick from them. It’s just that there are times when I crave something a little more on the primitive side ya know? I think it’s in a man’s nature.”

“Like some hunter-gatherer thing? Oooh I get it. You have to be a tough guy and have meat. I guess it makes you macho and somehow superior over other men?”

“Bhahah wow. Kristina! I can’t believe you got all of that from what I ordered on the menu. Nah. I just like how it tastes. It’s kind of how you like how diet soda tastes every now and then. It’s just a craving. There’s no ulterior motive behind it, I swear.”

Trent looked directly into Kristina’s eyes and reached across the table, taking her hands within his own. “Kristina… sigh. I don’t know really how to say everything I want to. You know that I’m not big on speeches, but I don’t know…we’ve been through some things together haven’t we?”

“Yes, through the years we certainly have, Trent.”

“I guess what I’m saying is that even though through the years there’s been periods when we were apart I just want to tell you how grateful I am that you’re here with me now. When we’re together and it’s like this… just me and you, I guess I’m saying that I feel like I’m a whole man or something. Fuck… I mean you always keep me laughing and if I’d have to pick one single human to do all my jobs with and spend all of my free time with, I guess I’d pick you as my favorite.”

“Wow. Trent did you just say I’m your favorite human?”

“Damn. I’m sorry. Yeah… I did. I meant it to be much well nicer than that, but yeah you’re my favorite human Kristina.”

“Trent Salvatore…that’s the sweetest fucking thing anyone’s every said to me.”

“Nah… It gets sweeter. Just listen, Kristina.”

As the waiter brought out their drinks and appetizer, Trent slid his chair closer to Kristina and turned toward the bar area where a small stage was set up. The lights dimmed and Trent watched Kristina observe what was happening with her trademark curiosity. She narrowed her eyes and looked at Trent who only gave her a small wink. Her mouth dropped in surpri
se when she saw a man who had a striking resemblance to Elvis Presley walk out on the stage holding a guitar. He didn’t say anything he only came out on the stage, sat on a small wooden stool and adjusted his microphone stand. After a few moments he began tuning his guitar. As he tuned it, he then said in his signature baritone voice, “This one here is of course a classic. It’s a special request from Trent to Kristina. I hope they enjoy it.”

“Oh my God! I can’t believe you! You hired an Elvis impersonator to serenade me?! Trent! When did you get so romantic?”

“Well we are in Las Vegas and you know what they say.”

“Oh, well whatever this is better not stay in Vegas.”

The pair grew silent for a few moments while the singer finished his rendition of “Can’t Help Falling in Love With You.” When he finished of course the pair gave him a hearty round of applause. Then lights then came back up to their original dimness and Kristina put her leg firmly on Trent’s. The waiter then came and brought their entrees out and Trent was rewarded with Kristina giving his thigh a tight squeeze and a chaste kiss on the cheek. “I just can’t get over that. Wow. You know I love Elvis.”

“I know. You like all sorts of cheesy things and I don’t understand why, but I kinda like you like different things than me.”

“Oh yeah?” Kristina leaned closer into him and whispered into his ear. Her hot breath tickled the side of his face and made the hairs on the back of his neck stand up. “I hope to show you all the different things I like when I get you alone.”

They finished their meal and talked quietly to each other about what all they planned to do during their trip. Kristina was still in awe at the romance that Trent had somehow conjured up. He was certainly showing her a different side. She was used to his tough bravado almost all of the time. It felt good for her to be able to explore a different part of herself with him as well. She’d learned through the years to put up a good front and of course, let whomever she was seeing determine how far their relationship went. She’d been the other woman, the diligent fan, and one man’s perfect woman. Trent didn’t want an archetype though. With him she didn’t have to play any particular role. She was free to be fully herself in every mood she had. He’d seen them all and he stuck around, waiting for her to be his one and only. That spoke volumes. She knew she could trust him. Trust somehow was the ultimate intimacy for Kristina. “Hey. You’re being quiet. Anything wrong, Kristina?”
