“Don’t get too excited,” Sully said. “Your flat is out back.”

Lucas handed the second key to Asher.

“These homes are usually reserved for the children of the staff and execs, but since you have angelic blood, we need you to stay nearby,” Lucas said. “Lux will need you as well.”

Asher looked curiously at him. “How do you know what blood I have?”

Lucas led the way up the path and opened the carved front door. “It’s our job to be informed and the type of blood you have is information we need.”

Lucas pushed the door open and I gasped as I caught sight of the huge open space.

“Are you kidding me?” I said as they set foot on the marble floor.

A beautiful staircase spiraled up to a grand mezzanine that overlooked the elegant foyer. To the left was a modern den complete with computer, printer and scanner, and to the right was a large library filled with old leather-bound books.

“This is gorgeous, guys. Look at this.” I entered the living room and ran my hand over the back of the soft leather sofa. It was even grander than Moore’s lavish home, but with a warmer friendlier feel. “I might never want to leave.”

Sully grinned. “You can stay as long as you like.”

Lucas looked at me with a small, shy smile. His features warmed and he lost his cold edge. “I’m glad you like it,” he said softly. “I helped design the house when Mum left London to come live here.”

“Ah, I thought I’d detected a Brit accent,” Asher said.

  Lucas pressed a tight grin.

“You designed this?” I said, marveling at the architectural details. “Do you have a degree in architecture?”

“Lucas has that innate thing going for him,” Sully said. There was a hint of pride in his tone, but also a bit of envy. “Give him numbers and figures and problems and he’ll figure it out. He designed all this five years ago when he was only fifteen.”

“Seriously?” I said. She looked at Lucas who seemed embarrassed by all the attention.

“He graduated high school at fifteen and crossed the pond with Mum, while I stayed behind at some tight-assed finishing school,” Sully griped. “I’d wanted Mum to set me up in my own flat, but she insisted that I board at the school.” He stuck his index finger down his throat and forced a gag. “Such a drag.”

“You were thirteen, you wanker. Mum would have been accused of child abandonment,” Lucas said.

“Never mind him,” Sully said, waving his big brother away. “I’m going to go show her the upstairs. Why don’t you show Angel here his flat.”

Without waiting for a response, Sully led me up the stairs while Lucas and Asher headed out the back door.

“I’m eager to show you your room. I’m sure you’ll love it.”

At the mezzanine, I looked down at the grandeur of the foyer and then up to the beauty of the ceiling above.

“This way,” Sully said, guiding me down the wide hall. He opened the double doors to a sundrenched room.

As a beautifully warm breeze blew in from the large window, I stared at the immense room and gasped. “Do you realize that the entirety of my house back in San Francisco would fit in this room? This is gi-normous.”

In addition to a large sturdy bed, the room had two lovely leather loveseats facing one another in a sitting area that boasted an elaborately ornate fireplace. On the other side of the room was a large desk and comfy chair and the far wall had three huge sliders that opened onto an immense terrace that overlooked the grounds.

“It is a rather large and airy space,” Sully said. “My brother fancies large open spaces. I think he might be a little claustrophobic.” He opened the door to yet another room.

“What’s this room for?” I said as I peeked in.

  “It’s not a room,” Sully said. “It’s a closet.”

  “A closet?” I said. “Wow.”

Velour covered seats took up the center of the large room. While one wall was covered with various cabinets and drawers. The other had shelves upon shelves for shoes, boots and sandals.

“We knew you’d be arriving empty handed, so we bought you a few things. Of course, if there’s anything you lack, just let me know.”

“I can’t imagine.” I opened a cupboard to find jeans and shirts. Another one had dresses and jackets. I slid open a drawer to find elegant leather gloves and hand painted silk scarves.

Sully opened another drawer to reveal dainty undergarments. “I picked these out myself,” he said holding up a pair of lacey French panties.

I smiled. “You have good taste.”

“Of course, I do.” He set the panties back in the drawer and led her back to the main room and sat on the edge of the bed. “This is what you Americans call a California king,” he said, patting the mattress beside him. “Come see how comfortable it is.”

I sat beside him and ran my hand over the thick and heavy comforter. “It’s all so beautiful, so well thought out.”

“Well, a queen such as yourself deserves the best. We know you’ve been through a lot these past weeks and wanted to make your transition to the academy as smooth as possible.”

“Thank you. I couldn’t ask for more. It’s perfect. It’s too much even.”

“There’s no such thing as too much,” Sully said, running his hand along the length of my thigh. “I mean just look at this bed. It will accommodate you as you spread out wide.” His fingers dug into the flesh of my thigh. “You know, Lucas might have a way with a pencil and ruler, but I have a way with far more interesting things.”

  “Really? Like what?”

“I’m quite proficient with tongues.” He leaned in closer and licked his lips in a provocative manner.

“I bet you are,” I said with a sly grin. I could smell his sweet warm breath and wondered if his lips were as soft as they looked.

He leaned in closer, his hand digging further between my thighs. “Is it just me, or is it getting hot in here?” he groaned.

“It is suddenly quite hot,” I whispered, my voice hoarse with growing arousal.

“Is this distracting you?” he said as he brought his hand higher up my thigh, touching me in a way that brought even more heat to my cheeks. “You know, I’ve often been accused of letting my tongue do the talking, but with you, I’ll let my tongue show you all it can do.”

“We’ll see about that,” I said with a playful grin.

“Sully?!” Lucas called out from the hall. “Lux!?”

Sully stopped just inches from my face and rolled his eyes. “Oh, bloody hell. Why does he always have to come and ruin my fun?”

He stood just as Lucas and Asher walked in. “I was just telling Lux about the purchase of that great comforter,” Sully said.

  “Sure you were,” Lucas muttered.

“With a bed so big we really had to shop around. I mean, look at that thing; she can really spread out wide.”

Lucas glared at his little brother. “Your head is really full of rubbish, isn’t it?”

“You can call it rubbish, but I call it thrilling.” Sully glanced at Asher who simply offered him a cold stare.

“So,” I said, hoping to break the tension. “Where will Asher be staying?”

Asher took me by the hand as we headed out of the bedroom. “I’ll show you later.” He turned to the Goods. “Thanks for everything, guys. I’ll take it from here.”

“You seem like a good chap,” Lucas said. “I think we’ll get along fine. We’ll let you get settled and check in on you a little later.”

  Sully just walked on, sullen.

At the mezzanine Asher pulled me to the side and waved at the guys. “Catch you later.”

Lucas nodded while Sully stomped down the steps with a pout of his lips.

“So, you were suddenly in a hurry to get rid of them,” I said once they were gone.

“Can you blame me?” he said. He took me by the hand. “Come on. Let me show you my place.”

We headed down the stairs, and Asher pointe
d out the cozy yet modern kitchen and sprawling game room as we made our way to the back sliders. “Lucas even designed this pool and the surrounding landscape,” Asher said as they headed out and passed through the huge yard.

“It’s all so enchanting,” I said.

Several hundred yards back was an adorable little guest house. It had the same Mediterranean feel as the larger house, but in a more modest way.

“Lucas is a cool guy,” Asher said as he opened the door to his house. “Look at this place. It’s great.” He showed her the modern kitchen, cozy living room and the simple bedroom.”

“I’m glad you’ll be close by,” I admitted.

“I think I can safely say that I’m even happier than you are.” He pulled me into his arms and quickly set his lips over mine.

His hunger for me was intoxicating and soon I found myself melting into him.

“Do you realize what torture it’s been? All day I’ve been eager to have you to myself. All day I’ve been thinking of how close I came to losing you for good.” He kissed my ear while his hands worked at undressing me. “I thought I’d never get to be alone with you, and now that we’re here, I just want to make love to you all afternoon, all evening and deep into the night.”

He pulled his clothes off and stood naked before me.

“You are so glorious, Asher,” I said, running my hand over his broad chest, down his rippling abs and down to his engorged cock.

“Let me show you just how glorious I really am,” he whispered. He picked me up and brought me to the bed. He wasted little time, quickly bringing his eager cock to my moistened core. “Tell me you want me,” he said.

“All night long,” I said with a smile.

“I want that, too,” Asher said, kissing me as he entered me.

Filled with the slow rocking motions of his love making, I realized just how much I loved him; just as much as I loved Brax and Moore.

  Chapter 12

As I lay in bed beside Asher, my heart pounding from our last sexual romp, I heard my phone beep and went to sit up.

“No,” Asher said, holding me back. “Stay with me a bit longer.”

I laughed. “You’ve made love to me three times in the past two hours. Aren’t you tired of me yet?”

“Never,” he said with a chuckle.

With a snort, I wiggled free of his hold all the same. “Let me just check who it is.”

“If it’s a Good, ignore it.”

I glanced playfully at him as I found my jeans in the discarded pile of clothing and pulled my phone out of my back pocket.

“It’s my dad,” I said as I read the text message. “We’re all having dinner on the Vegas strip tonight.”

“Tonight? Ah, come on. We were just getting started.”

“Stop your whining, Asher and come on. Dad says to get dressed up. We’re going to a fancy restaurant with Dr. Good and her sons. Hector’s going to be there, too.”

“Okay.” Asher hopped out of bed. “Look on the bright side. I heard the strip is a lot of fun. Let’s go get wild and crazy. It’ll be cool blowing off some steam. Maybe even play a little blackjack or roulette.”

“Well, we’re not yet twenty-one, so we won’t get that crazy.” I turned to leave. “I’m going to head inside to change and meet you back at my place.”

“Cool. I’ll be there in twenty minutes.”

I took her time looking at her new surroundings as I made my way back to the main house. Everything was so perfect and beautiful. The tall cedar hedge that enclosed the yard was meticulously trimmed and the huge patches of flowers strewn across the yard were filled with colorful blooms.

But when I came around the pool, I came face to face with Sully who quickly erased the angry frown from his brow and pasted on a forced smile.

“Wow, look at you all flushed and radiant,” he said.

  I ignored the innuendo.

“Your visit to that little guest house must have been quite exhaustive.”

“You’re looking rather dapper,” I said as I took in his black silk shirt, open just enough to show off his smooth muscular chest. His skinny pants fit him perfectly and the blazer added a preppy aspect to his look. “Looks like you’re ready to hit the clubs.”

He looked me up and down but seemed unhappy with my appearance.

“Are you unhappy about the dinner plans?” I said, still trying desperately to ignore the direction he was trying to bring the conversation to.

“No. It’ll be a thrill to go into town. I’m just concerned with that glow.”

  “Glow?”

“Yeah,” he said, his eyes narrow and hooded. He leaned in closer and smelled her skin. “That special glow.”

“I hardly think I’m glowing, Sully.”

“Oh, but you are,” he said with a suspicious grin. “And I know that glow well. I also know a tousled hairdo when I see one.”

Oh, crap, I thought suddenly. I hadn’t checked my hair when I’d left Asher.

“If I didn’t know any better, I’d think you’d just rolled out of bed.”

“Don’t be silly.” I tried to walk past him. “I have to get ready for dinner.”

“Who did you roll out of bed with? Asher?” He persisted as he blocked her path. “There’s nothing like an after-sex glow to make a girl light up.”

I wasn’t about to apologize for having sex with Asher. With my hand on the raw iron post of the fence that surrounded the garden area, I turned to him, hoping to put an end to his inquisition. “I’m gonna take a minute to get ready then head out to meet everyone for dinner.” I took a step, but Sully caught her hand and stopped her.

“Put on a pretty party dress. We could go out dancing afterwards.”

  “I don’t think so, Sully.”

“Why not? Dancing is the best way to relieve all that stress.” He smiled and squeezed my hand. “Well, the second best way. But we can get to the very best way a little later.”

“We’re all having dinner together, Sully. I’m not going out to dance.”

“Dancing is a great way for demon slayers to unwind. Think about it. We spend so much time hunting and fighting that we need to find release.” He leaned in. “It’ll loosen you up. That’s for sure.”

He was adorable and telling him no was difficult. His beautiful eyes danced with anticipation and his eager smile was so welcoming.

“Come on,” I finally said. “Everyone will be waiting for us. We’ll see about the dancing.”

“I’m a great dancer, you know,” Sully went on.

“I’m sure you are,” I said with a laugh. There was something so playful and carefree about him. I knew that if I went out with him I’d have a good time. It was so tempting.

I managed to break free of his hold and head to the back patio, but as I was about to enter the house, I almost bumped into Lucas.

Wearing a blue silk suit, white shirt and blue tie he had the confidence of a young billionaire. He looked at me and Sully with disdain. “You’re already here, Sully?” he said with a grimace.

“Did I beat you to the punch, old man?”

Lucas rolled his eyes and I almost laughed as I looked at the brothers who were both so hot, so sexy, so alluring, and yet so completely different.

“I came to bring you to our little dinner party,” Lucas said as he took me by the hand. He took a quick whiff at the air around me, and his pupils suddenly dilated with arousal. He eyed me with disbelief.

Sully laughed out loud, a raucous belly laugh that shook him. “Well, what do you know,” he said. “So here we have the girl who got herself a little something-something while here we have the guy who’s not too happy about it.”

Flustered by their knowledge of my sexual encounter, I turned to head inside. “I’m going to go get ready, if you guys don’t mind.”

As I slid past Lucas and through the door, I hated the sense of guilt that suddenly took over me. I had nothing to be guilty about. I loved Asher and loved the time I’d just spent with him
. Then why was it that the opinion and judgement of the Good boys rattled me so much?

Inside my new house, I once again marveled at the beauty of the countertops, the marble floor and the gorgeous archways. Putting the Goods and their judgement behind, I smiled all the way up to my room. I entered the huge closet and looked at the items the Goods had bought for me. There was almost too much to choose from. I first picked up a sexy black halter dress, then decided to go with a red wrap around dress before finally settling on a light peach dress that was both sophisticated and sexy. It had long sleeves, but an interestingly daring neckline and a peek-a-boo cut out at the back.

I set the dress on a hook in the closet and headed to my en suite bathroom. Though I would have liked a relaxing hour in the bath, I opted for a quick shower. Once cleanse of all of Asher’s scents, I turned off the water and stepped out of the shower. Patting myself dry with a big fluffy towel, I thought of the night to come with anticipation. Breaking away from slaying would be a nice change of pace and I hoped to get to know everyone a little better.

After blow drying my hair and pinning it up in a relaxed updo, I slipped into the dress I’d chosen and paired it with three-inch gold pumps. Satisfied with the result I headed downstairs.

Asher had joined Lucas and Sully and they all waited for me in the foyer. Sully’s jaw dropped, while Lucas eyed me with hooded interest, his jaw tight with restraint. Asher looked at me with love and pride.

“Beautiful, as usual,” Asher said. He greeted me with a kiss when I made my way down to them. “I can’t believe how you take my breath away.”

“Not only beautiful, but so hot.” Sully crudely grabbed his crotch. “Hell, how am I supposed to get through this night with you looking that way? I’ll be dreaming of you all night.”

Lucas elbowed his brother. “Please forgive my Neanderthal brother. You do look ravishing, Lux.”

“Thank you all. You’re all very sweet.”

“Come on,” Lucas said. “Our driver is waiting.”

We all piled into an elegant limousine and headed into town. The sidewalks were already filled with tourists and locals looking for a good time, and the bright lights of the strip welcomed us.
