Just Guard Me Forever

Whenever they argued about something, Sandy had learned to stay and talk it out with him instead of running away. And he told her everything that was going on with him no matter what. Haley called him several times to check up on him concerning his shoulder and then she stopped calling. One day out of the blue, she called to tell him that she had found love again. Sandy was happy for her.

Later in the day when they were alone in their bedroom and their visitors had gone back to their homes, Sandy smiled at her husband. Wrapped in his arms, she felt safe and secure.

For a while, the ugly incident with James stayed with Sandy. She kept having nightmares about it until she had a talk with a psychologist and got everything out. Seth was there to help her through it all.

“I’m so happy. I wish my mom were alive to see how blissful my life is,” she said with a rueful note.

Seth kissed her on the forehead. “Wherever she is, I know she’s very proud of you.”

“Thank you for looking past my inhibitions and saving me,” she said, joy lifting her heart.

He grinned. “You’re welcome, my love. But I think it’s the other way around.”

Sandy sighed happily. Love was such a beautiful thing.

  The End.
