  Forster’s final wishes were that he be ‘disposed of’ without religious observance; he was accordingly cremated at Canley Garden Cemetery and Crematorium, Coventry

  Monument to Forster in Stevenage, Hertfordshire, bearing the famous epigraph from ‘Howards End’
