“Wanna do some yoga before we go, it may help the healing process,” Lilly smirked at me and I agreed, feeling my phone burning a hole in my pocket.

I followed Lilly into one of the gym rooms where a huge mirror was used as one wall, constantly reminding ourselves to be self-conscious as we exercised.

I was positively useless at yoga and at any organised group activity, to be honest, so I watched Lilly and followed her directions so that we both bent forward and touched our toes.

I’d made progress because months ago I couldn’t even manage that and my yoga sessions ended in me coughing like a winded casualty every time I tried to reach my toes.

When we slowly stood back up straight, I opened my eyes and gasped when I looked at the reflection.

Looking in the mirror and behind me, through the glass wall, I could see Kit staring at us. He was standing with his arms crossed and smirking like a fool.

“What is he doing here?” Lilly asked from beside me.

“I have no idea,” I said before leaving Lilly alone and heading for the door.

“I didn’t think you could own anything tighter than those skinny jeans, Blondie,” he smiled as I neared him.

“Are you following me?” I eyed him, not actually being serious.

Kit was in gym gear, too, and I knew he wasn’t here for me.

He chuckled, “I wish I had been, I’ve missed you working out in those tight ass gym clothes.”

I blushed when Kit moved forward and kissed my cheek beside my ear.

“I don’t only hold classes at the gym you and Maddison came to… I’ve just finished a class and was heading back to train when I saw you and Lilly in here."

  I nodded, “Cool."

To my shock, Kit reached forward then and into my pocket where my phone could be seen through the fabric.

“You ignoring me, Blondie?” he asked, holding up my phone.

He was frowning at me and for a second, I thought he was actually pissed.

Lilly chose that second to finish her yoga session and she walked up beside me.

“Kit,” she said, looking at him.

“Hellcat, always a pleasure,” he smiled at her and it caused her lips to edge a little.

“I need to go, I’ve got a late appointment with a regular."

We both noticed Kit’s eyebrows shooting up and I rolled my eyes.

  “She’s a hairdresser,” I said.

“I never said a thing,” Kit answered, holding his hands up.

  “Uhuh, you didn’t have to…”

“You coming?” Lilly asked me and I looked back at Kit who cocked his head at me.

“Why don’t you stay, I’ll teach you some boxing,” he said.

“Yeah, you could do with a way to release some tension,” Lilly agreed and I wanted to roll my eyes, she’d just given Kit an open door to use her comment as a sexual reference.

“Don’t,” I pointed at Kit before he could make a remark about having sex to release some tension.

“I wasn’t gonna say a thing,” Kit laughed.

“I’m gonna stay for a bit, as long as you don’t mind?” I said to Lilly.

“No, of course not. Ring me later,” Lilly smiled and gave me a quick hug before looking at Kit.

“Look after her, player,” she said before leaving.

That earned her a grin from Kit who turned to watch her walk away.

When he whistled, I narrowed my eyes at the back of his head. “She’s a hellcat,” he said.

I didn’t have to see Kit’s eyes to know he was checking her out and I hated how jealous it made me.

“You finished perving on my friend?” I bit at him and he spun around quickly to see me standing with my arms crossed.

“Come on, Blondie. With you standing right there? Like I’d do something like that…” he grinned at me before leading the way.

Inside a private room where I assumed Kit had just held his boxing lesson, there were many punching bags hanging from the ceiling and again a wide mirror covered the space of one wall, making me more self-conscious.

“You ready?” Kit held his hands together and looked me over.

  “To hit you? Hell, yes."

I was still pissed at how he could check out my friend with no regard for me standing right behind him.

“No, Eve,” he grinned. “The punching bag, but if you want a fight, I’ll give you one, sweetheart."

  “Don’t call me sweetheart, pal."

Kit’s eyebrows rose and challenged me as he came closer.

“Pal?” he said, looking me in the eyes and as I pushed him back, he gripped onto my fists and held me in front of him.

“Let me go,” I hissed whilst pulling my hands back.

“So, you’re pissed because you thought I was checking out your friend? Good, because I’m pissed too. It’ll fuel the work-out."

“You’re pissed, what do you have to be pissed about? And you were checking her out, there’s no doubt about it."

“You ignored my text,” Kit answered, pulling me in so my body clashed against his.

  “And?”

“And?” His eyebrows rose again and he pinned me tighter.

“I don’t like being a needy guy, Eve. You already make me insane daily just thinking about you."

I never thought about Kit being the needy one, I was trying to avoid looking needy by texting him back straight away.

I didn’t know what to say and when Kit pulled back and walked over to the punching bag, he held it between his hands.

“Come on, Blondie, give it your best punch."

I shook my head at first and just looked at him.

“Come on, you afraid to hit a punching bag?”

“I’m not afraid to hit you, does that count?” I narrowed my eyes at him and walked over closer.

All that stood between us was the punching bag and Kit peeked around it at me.

“Punch the bag, Eve,” he said before moving his head.

Remembering how riled up Kit had made me I drew my arm back and pelted it hard into the punching bag, having little effect on it.

“Pathetic, try again,” Kit said from the other side.

Instead of his comment upsetting me, it riled me up more and this time I took a firm stance and brought my arms up to my front.

I hit it even harder with more force and carried on hitting it until I felt myself getting better.

“Keep trying, Eve, you’ll eventually move the bag so I have to stop it from swinging." I couldn’t see his face but I could hear the smirk in his voice and I pushed the bag hard so it swung against Kit’s chest.

“You arrogant pig,” I said, walking around the bag.

I wasn’t wrong, Kit was indeed grinning and I pushed at his chest before landing a punch against his shoulder blade.

It made him grin more which only fueled my anger.

I threw another punch but this time Kit caught it and drew me in close whilst pulling me back with him. He led me back through a door and I wondered where the hell he was taking me.

He closed the door, leaving us in pitch black.

“Kit, what are you doing?” I said, still feeling him in front of me.

“This is the equipment room,” he said against my neck as he pressed me up against the wall. He had let go of my hands and I gripped onto his shoulders as his hands found my waist.

“What are we doing in here?” I said against his lips but he never answered, instead, he captured mine and ran his hands under my top.

“Kit, no, I haven’t showered,” I said whilst trying to stop his hands from trailing up under my top.

Kit shushed against my lips and growled when he finally reached my tits.

“You’re not wearing a bra,” he said against my lips.

I shook my head, forgetting that he couldn’t see me. By now I had all of my attention focused on Kit’s hands that were cupping my breasts.

My legs began to buckle as Kit continued massaging them and kissing my s
houlder blade, he positioned his leg between mine so I didn’t slide any further down the wall.

It meant it had direct contact to my now needy area and I wanted to hump his leg as his mouth latched onto one of my nipples and teased it with his tongue.

“My God, Kit.” I moaned and tried to keep it down but it was useless.

“This is how you make me feel all goddamn day, Eve,” he said against my nipple and the warm breath heightened my senses even more, causing me to moan with pleasure.

“Kit.” I began panting as he gripped my hips.

“I need to get you home, and fast."

I nodded because I’d have agreed to anything at that point.

Kit pulled down my top and I positioned it to make sure my breasts were in it properly, then he checked me over in the dark to ensure I was covered before opening the supply door and peeking out.

Once he was sure it was clear, Kit took me with him and rushed out of the training room.

“Shouldn’t we shower first?” I asked him and he looked back at me.

He stopped then and brought me to one side so no one could hear us.

“Yes,” he sighed, “I was so eager to get you home, I’m struggling to hold it together with you, Eve."

“Then don’t,” I said and he looked me in the eyes.

“You deserve for us to wait, so you know this isn’t just a fuck for me."

I couldn’t believe I was disagreeing with him over this, Kit made me lose all sense.

“We’ll shower and then I’ll take you home, I could do with the shower to cool down."

“You wanna take me home, to my house?” I asked.

To my shock, he nodded, “I’ve gotta be careful with you, Eve, I was about to fuck you in a supply room,” he whispered so no one passing could hear.

I frowned and I could see it bothered him.

“Don’t look at me like that,” he smiled. “You’ll forgive me in the long run, trust me."

  Will I?

Right now, I felt rejected by him, like I wasn’t as good as the other girls. He had the ability to make me feel so good about myself but shatter it within seconds.

“Shower first, okay?” he smiled at me and kissed me as I nodded.

I was thankful to head away from Kit alone and in the ladies’ changing room I found my locker and got my bag so I could take a shower.

I didn’t take long because I knew Kit would be waiting but I did have enough time to contemplate what had just happened with Kit. One minute we were all over each other in the darkness of the equipment room and the next thing Kit wanted to take me home. He just didn’t make sense and I was starting to get whiplash.

Once out of the shower, I brushed my hair and got dressed into my jeans, converse and hoodie before adding a small amount of mascara.

When I left the changing room, I found myself looking for Kit and I hoisted my bag up further over my shoulder and waited when I saw him coming from the café.

He looked yummy with damp hair and with the look in his eye that I hoped he only reserved for me. He smiled, whilst looking me up and down as he came closer. He placed his palm to my face and kissed me before taking my hand.

  “You look beautiful,” he said.

I couldn’t believe I looked that great because I simply was just in my casual gear.

“Thank you,” I blushed and looked down. When I looked back up at him, he looked pleased with himself that he’d made me embarrassed and he carried his bag, leading me outside to his car.

I spent far too long in the car with Kit outside my house. This time it was me stopping him because Kit was all over me and gripping at my thighs to pull me over.

“Kit, I’m outside my house,” I said breathlessly and he pulled away before nodding.

“I’ll see you tomorrow?” I smiled as he gathered himself and I watched as he tugged at his joggers that had become tighter around his growing crotch.

He hissed and adjusted himself again before nodding.

He gave me one last kiss and I glanced back as he watched me walking inside. He held his knuckle to his mouth and I took pride in the fact that he found me so attractive, even if I couldn’t understand it myself.

The next day I hissed and gripped at my bed sheets like a wounded patient, every fibre of my body hurt and ached as I simply tried to sit up in bed.

“Fucking gym,” I cursed as I tried again and held onto my ribs.

They felt as if I’d taken five rounds to them and my thighs were pulsating from pushing myself on the treadmill.

“Jesus Christ,” I moaned again as I pulled myself from the bed and straightened myself up.

Another simple reminder that exercise was the enemy, or should I say, my enemy.

I hoped a shower would help and I crouched as I reached into my drawers and gathered my clothes before heading to the bathroom.

On the landing, my grandad passed, stopped and looked at me.

“You look like you’re in labour,” he commented.

I smiled and groaned, thanking him for his kind words.

The shower only helped a little in easing the tension but I still ached like a bitch and I cursed as I tried to pull my bra on and get dressed.

“This is frikkin' ridiculous,” I said as I took cautious steps down the stairs and into the kitchen.

“Here she is, only took you ten minutes to get down the stairs.” My grandad smirked at me before picking up his tea from the table.

“Hilarious, I feel as if I’ve done three rounds with Mike Tyson.”

I tried to straighten myself up as my grandma turned around from the counter.

She chuckled at me, “in all the times Lilly has dragged you to the gym, you’ve never woken up this sore the next day. Has that lad been training you to box?”

I took a hard seat down at one of the chairs as my grandma placed a cup of tea in front of me.

I thought about my workout session with Kit and how it had actually turned out to be a very heated session, indeed. Letting it cloud over my vision I pushed it to a side and answered my grandma.

“I just pushed myself too bloody much, didn’t think I’d be in agony the next day."

“It’ll get better,” my Grandad said. “The more you work out the easier it will get, this time next month we’ll be able to enter you into the women’s Olympics."

I snorted, taking in my grandad’s grinning face. My grandma laughed and sat down with us at the table.

She offered me toast but I declined, sipping my tea, I couldn’t even think about chewing.

Gathering my bag and shoes, I pulled on my shoes and straightened myself in the mirror before opening the front door, the freshness greeted me straight away and I smiled even if the sun did blind me. Raking through my bag and shutting the door behind me, I found my sunglasses and put them on before taking the first steps on my journey to the bus stop.

I only took about three steps before I saw a car parked in front of our house. Kit’s car.

Looking around I frowned and approached it cautiously only for the window to open and Kit’s face to appear, grinning at me.

“Enjoying the morning, She-elf?” he smirked at me.

  “She-elf?” What the fuck?

“The way you came out looking like an elf princess, smiling at the sky like a mythical creature."

Silence took me for a while as I thought about what he’d said.

“What are you doing here?” I finally asked him.

“I’m here to pick you up, duh."

“I just looked out of my window a second ago and you weren’t parked here, how did you know what time to come at?”

“I donno,” he shrugged. “Lucky guess, I guess, now are you gonna get in?”

I walked around his car to get in, feeling a little taken back that Kit was even here.

“You didn’t have to come and pick me up,” I said as I fastened my seatbelt.

“I did,” he smiled and reached over to kiss me.

  “You miss me?
His cocky face was back and I rolled my eyes.

“I missed your car,” I chirped up and sat back into the seat before groaning.

“That’ll explain why you looked like Terminator walking, you okay?”

“I hate the frikkin' gym,” I said simply and it caused Kit to smirk again before setting off.

  “Where’s Nick?” I asked.

At first, it was like Kit didn’t know what to say and he almost swallowed his words as they came out too quickly, then he gathered himself.

“He had to help my brothers at the garage."

“The garage, you mean the garage you have at home?”

“No. My brothers, Jason and Eric, they own a garage in town."

“Oh.” I nodded my head slowly, not knowing that about his family. It would explain why Jason had that rugged look about him that only seemed to be reserved for mechanics.

As we neared college, I dreaded it more and more. The fact that I could barely walk added to the fact that I was indeed going in as Kit’s girlfriend; a drastic change for only a short weekend. I knew Kit being a magnet for female attention would make us number one on the ogling list.

As Kit pulled up, I shifted to get out and cursed when my phone fell to the floor.

I had to reach over to get it and doing so pulled at my ribs. Cursing, I finally found it and heard the car door opening.

At first, I shot back with the shock and wondered who the hell had opened the door when I saw Kit waiting for me to get out.

He had just opened the door for me and I felt super awkward getting out.

“Thank you,” I smiled at him because even though it felt awkward it was a sweet thing to do. No guy had ever opened the door for me before and as Kit took my hand and led me inside, my stomach started doing mini flips.

As I predicted, every girl’s eyes were on us, judging and wondering what the hell Kit was doing escorting me inside with our hands latched. It caused me to look down and fiddle with my hair as I clutched my bag.

Kit gave my hand a little squeeze. Catching my attention, he smiled at me and after that, I didn’t care who was staring at us. Just seeing the way Kit was looking at me made me feel like the best-looking girl here. Being around Kit made me nervous as hell but he made me feel fantastic about myself like I was worthy of anything.
