The Darkness in You (The Darkness Series Book 2)

“Hmm, something like that.” Jacin hums into my ear as his stomach lowers onto my back and I’m now pinned beneath him once more. “But keep pushing that ass of yours into my cock and another body part will be very sore.” Jacin says as his hot breath fans over my face. “But I’ll make sure you enjoy every moment of it, Little One.”
My arms grip onto the sheets as I try escape Jacin. I know what’s coming. But my body isn’t working with me. My body is aching in all the right places and I feel my legs spread on their own accord. I groan out in response. His words alone have my core throbbing for more, even though, it knows it can’t take anymore of Jacin.
“Hmmm. I love the way your body responds to me. It makes me want to do very naughty things to you, Little One.”
“God, I want you to do those things to me.” I whisper out without realizing it.
“I thought so.” Jacin says again, his hot breath disappears as he starts to kiss his way down my back. My body arches to his touch, which only makes my ass press more deeply into his cock. “I could never tire of you, ever. Your body is my wonderland and I never want to leave it.” He says to me as he kisses the base of my back.
“What? Is that all you love about me, Jacin?” I ask him, but I realize my words too late to take them back. I mentally slap myself. And I throw my face into the sheets of his bed.
I feel Jacin shift off me, but his body heat is soon replaced by more kisses and I can feel him laughing behind me.
“Don’t answer that. It came out all wrong.” I murmur into the sheets. Which just causes more laughter to radiate from Jacin, who is now rubbing my ass with the palms of his hands.
“Why, Little One? Don’t you already know what the answer is?” Jacin teases me as he continues to kiss my back slowly and kneading my ass with his hands.
“I thought it was too soon to ask.” I murmur out, my head still in the sheets as I let out a groan as Jacin’s hand moves to cup my soreness between my legs. I feel more heat coming from him, his magic gliding over my body and resting between my legs. It heats my body and I feel the sweat that dried long ago starting to form once more on my body. And then the ache is gone. Along with his magic, which is now replaced by Jacin’s fingers.
And they are now the ones that are working their magic on me. Jacin’s fingers slide between my legs and circle my clit. My body reacts involuntarily, and I shove my ass up some more to allow him better entrance to my body. His fingers slip into my body and I let out a shudder, but before I can start to enjoy his touch, he removes his fingers.
“Spread your legs, ass up, Little One.” Jacin orders me. “I’m not going to be gentle. I’m going to fuck you so hard, that in the end you will have your answer.”
I do as he say’s and I feel the tip of his cock as it nudges at my entrance. He doesn’t allow my body to adapt to his size. With one push he enters my body and I let out a whimper. He fills me to the point where I can’t take anymore, but I do. I want it all. All of him. My hand grips tighter onto the sheets as I take him into my body.
“Fuck, your pussy is so fucking tight.” Jacin’s whispers out as he slowly moves in and out of my body. His hands run the length of my back and grips my hair. I feel the tug of his touch as he starts to pull at my hair, he moves back onto his haunches, he pulls my body flush with his.
I’m now sitting on his cock, as my body takes more of, with every move I make.
“Jacin, please.” I whimper out, but I’ m not sure what I want. For him to have mercy on me or for him to take me. Again, and again.
I feel his laughter rumble from his chest, the heat of our body mixes as one as he pulls my head back and rests my head on his shoulder. The small kisses he places on my neck are soft and once he reaches my ear, his breath fans over my face.
“I love you.” He whispers into my ear at the same time his hand has moved down my body. His magic and his fingers latch onto my clit. And I fall. Hard.
“Jacin, have mercy. Please!” I shout out at him as I fracture and fall from my high he has given me and then he starts to move inside me, and I just hold on for dear life.
Chapter Thirty-One
“I am what you dream about.” - Natalie
~Natalie~
“You don’t get to leave me again. Ever.” I murmur into Jacin’s ear as he lays beside me. The even rise and fall of his chest tells me he is sleeping, but I say what I fear anyways. “And I haven’t forgiven you for taking away my memories either, we should have spoken about everything, instead you felt it right to keep me in the dark about everything.” I say to him and I roll onto my stomach, taking the covers with me in the process, which only reveals more of Jacin’s nakedness.
“God, Jacin. You are the reigning king of the god damn demon underworld.” I laugh out at my own statement. “Then what does that make me?” I say more to myself as I pick at the sheet that is bundled around me.
“Queen.” Jacin whispers out and my eyes snap to his, which are now wide open. The asshole wasn’t even sleeping.
“What if I don’t want to be a queen?” I say to him and he tilts his head in question to me.
“It’s too late for that, Natalie. I tried to stay away from you, the moment I realised who you were to me. But couldn’t. I couldn’t resist the pull towards you.”
“And when did you realise what I was too you?”
Jacin moves his arm to place it under his neck, which gives him a better view of me, his muscular arms flex and his tattoos ripple under his movement. Under his scrutiny, I want to squirm. He looks at me with such intensity, it’s unnerving, it demands attention.
“The first time I kissed you.” He states and my eyes must have grown the size of saucers.
“What? How?” I ask him.
“It is just the way it is. We are able to tell if it’s our mate with a kiss. But we are drawn to them on another level even before that. I should have known all those years ago, but I just couldn’t admit it.”
“Why though? You terrorized me for so long, it’s actually quite unbelievable I’m still with your ass.” I joke to him.
“Little One, I’m the reigning king of hell. What the hell would you want with me? The woman before you, knew who I was, what I was capable of, to them it was a chance at power, a chance to be unstoppable.” Jacin says and I try not flinch at the mention of the other woman he was with.
“And did any of them come close?” I ask him as I run my hand down his bare chest, making his whole body run with shivers. I know the insecurities are creeping up, but I just have to know.
“No, not even close.” He says to me with conviction.
“Well you have one less woman trying for the title.” I say to him and his eyes hold humour in them instead of the anger I thought I would see.
“Who did you kill, Little One.” He teases me like me killing someone is the most normal thing in the world.
“Eve.” I murmur out. “But it wasn’t my fault, she started it and it just happened.”
“Really, Eve started it?” He teases me and I can see him trying to hold back a laugh.
“Yes, so I ended it.” I grumble out. “Are you mad?” I ask him and chance a look at him.
“She was a willing body, I told you that before. I assure you, there was no romantic link, nothing. Fuck I only spoke to her when I needed a release.” He says to me.
“Okay, okay. Enough about you needing a release from another woman. I get it.” I grumble out again as I drag my nails down his chest, the white lines turning red as I press my nails into his skin.
And he laughs.
I don’t.
“Fuck you are beautiful.” He says as his chest ripples from laughter.
“Stop, we are being serious now, continue with your story.” I say to him and he tries his best to swallow his laughter.
When he finally has it under control he continues to talk. “You were foretold as my weakness and I couldn’t have a weakness, they would have torn you and me apart, figuring out how to best me, but if
I knew a weakness was this great, I would have found you sooner, in a heartbeat.”
“Jacin, you have lied to me, about so much, I don’t even know where to begin anymore.” I say but my eyes land on the tattoo that is drawn across him forearm that is resting on his stomach.
“I’ve kept things from you. I wouldn’t go so far as to say that I lied to you.” He says to me and breathes in deeply. “Lucifer was right on a few things though. My name is not Jacin Lawson, my name is Jacin Dante, the prophecy of Dante is named after my family.” He says to me as he moves to tuck some of my messy hair behind my ear.
“Why didn’t you just tell me who you were?”
“Would you have stayed if you knew? Would you have let me between those silky thighs of yours?” Jacin asks me. And I know eventually I would have come back to him. He is mine. I feel it. But can I honestly say that I would not have gone screaming for the hills. It’s a lot to take in, knowing the man before you, controls the demons and monsters of the worlds.
“I would have come back to you.” I whisper out to him.
“But I wouldn’t have let you leave.” He says to me. “And there lies the problem already, you would have hated me in the end.” I shouldn’t feel the sudden surge of happiness that I suddenly feel. It’s not normal for a man to do the things he is capable of doing. But then again, I’m not normal. I’m far from it.
“All said and done Jacin, you took my memories from me. Why would you do that.”
“I tried to protect you and the only way I knew how was to let you go. But the mating bond would never have let me. So, I tried to break it. I tried to stay away from you.”
“For weeks I thought I was going crazy.” I say to him as I pick at the sheets again.
“I know. I had your five with you the entire time, they reported back to me.” Jacin’s says as his fingers start to run down my collarbone.
“You are still not forgiven; you have some making up to do.” I say to him.
“I’ll spend the rest of my life making it up to you, Little One.” Jacin’s says to me as he places another small kiss on my face. His hands move to cup my face and I catch a glimpse of his arm once more.
I pull back from his embrace and run my fingers down his arm, I watch as his body reacts to my touch.
“How did you fool everyone?” I ask him.
“What do you mean?” He asks me and I point towards his tattoo.
“How did you fool everyone with this, if you were trying to fight the bond. I’m pretty sure people noticed this.” I say to him as I run my fingers over his arm.
When he doesn’t answer me, I look up from his tattoo, our eyes connect, but his have a look of utter horror and admiration to them.
“What?” I ask him sheepishly.
“What do you think this tattoo says?” He asks me, which I find completely strange. I can see what it says and I’m sure everyone else can too.
“Um, my name. It’s pretty large, it’s not like a person can miss it. It runs the entire length of your forearm and not to mention the massive crown hanging off it.”
He tilts his head at me. His eyes give him away. He can’t believe what he is hearing and I’m not sure if I should just stop talking or if I should’ve just not asked in the first place.
“You are a complete mind fuck, how is it possible for you to read this.” He asks me.
“Well it’s simple English, it’s just my name.” I say to him.
“It’s not in English. It’s written in a language long gone; the language is the language of the first gods. How is it possible that you can see it so clearly?”
“I- I don’t know. The first time I saw the tattoo was when I dream walked with you, while you were showering. And it’s always just said Natalie.” I say to him as I trace my name. “What does it look like in the language of the gods then?” I ask him.
“I’ll get Bishop to draw it for you.” Jacin says to me.
I nod my head at him and continue. “It’s really cute and sexy.” I say.
“What is?” Jacin asks me, as he tucks my hair behind my ear. That small gesture makes tingles run down my body.
“Having my name tattooed on you. It’s kind of a big deal, it’s permanent.”
“I’m bonded to you, that is even more permanent than any tattoo will ever be, but I doubt you will find that sweet when you know what it is actually for.” Jacin say and I run my fingers over it again.
“With you, most likely not, but for now, it’s sweet.” I say and run small kisses over his arm.
“Woman, stop, unless your pussy is hungry for my cock again. Behave. We have things to discuss.” Jacin warns me as I thrust my boobs up more and my eyes watch his, as they latch onto my nipples.
“Behave woman.” He says and pulls the sheet up to my neck to cover me.
“Fine, fine. I’ll behave.” I grumble out to him and he places a kiss on my forehead.
“We need to find the final part of the prophecy. Before Lucifer manages to get to it and uses it against us.”
“Even if he did get it. I doubt he will even be able to read it, the last two took our blood to open it.” I say to him.
“Never underestimate your enemy. I’m sure he will have his way.”
I nod my head in response. “So, where do you think it’s hidden this time?” I ask Jacin and he looks over at me. I see pain in his eyes, there is something he doesn’t want me to know.
“No more secrets, Jacin.” I warn him and he nods his head.
“I know. I don’t think I know where it is hidden, I know where it is hidden.” He says to me.
“Well why haven’t you gone to get it?” I ask him.
“The first one demanded your blood, the second mine. I can only guess the third will want both of ours. I doubt it would have been read if we both weren’t there.” He simply states.
“Okay, fair enough, so where is it hidden then.”
He lets out a defeated breath. “My mother has it.” He simply says and closes his eyes.
“Oh, well then that’s simple right. We can just pop over and get it.” I say to him, trying to hide the shock of hearing his mother has it. Why wouldn’t she have just handed it over a long time ago.
“Baby. My relationship with my mother is rocky at the best of times. She never forgave me for what I did. It’s eaten at her ever since.”
“Did what?”
“When I killed my father. Even though she wasn’t his mate, she loved him with everything she was. And when I took his head, I took her soul too.” Jacin says out hoarsely and my heart breaks for him, it wasn’t his fault he was dealt the hand he got. Destiny and The Fates planned that all on their own.
“But your mother can’t really hold the blame over your head for it.”
“No, but I still did it. And she still lost him.”
I nod my head. I understand she would be upset about it. She clearly doesn’t understand how fate works.
“So, let’s go, I’m sure if you told your mom why we are coming, it shouldn’t be a problem.”
“Slow down, Little One. There is more you need to know before we can go anywhere near there.” Jacin says to me and the tone in his voice has me starting to worry.
“What is it?” I ask him.
“Do you remember the second part of the prophecy.” He asks me.
“Yes, I do, which part are we talking about?”
“The part of The Fates.”
“Say what now?” I ask him. I don’t recall there being a part about The Fates in there.
Jacin lets out a defeated sigh. “I thought so. Baby, just listen to me, have an open mind about what we are talking about, okay?”
“Jacin, you are making me worried.” I murmur as I sit up to look into his eyes.
“Don’t be. Just what I’m going to tell you, could quite possibly shock you.” Jacin admits to me. “The Brotherhood isn’t just any normal pact between friends. We were chosen by The Fates themselves for who we are, what we are capable of doing
and most importantly, who we can defeat.”
I don’t reply, I just nod my head as I’m following him. I don’t know where he is going with this information.
“I was chosen, to take over the rule from my father.” Jacin explains to me and I continue to nod my head. “I was chosen because I am capable of controlling the beast, where no one, not even my father could.” Jacin continues to say.
“But what has this got to do with the prophecy?”
“The Fates wrote the prophecy.” Jacin simply states.
“So how do you know it’s with them?” I question him back, as I shift in my position, I’m not sure where he is trying to go with his little story. I thought we were talking about going to see his mother. Now we are talking about The Fates.
“The part in the prophecy, where it spoke about a thread.” Jacin explains and when he sees me not following his story, he lets out a sigh and continues to explain to me. “A thread is spun for those who feel it, a thread is spun for those who seek it, a thread is spun for those who keep it.”
I nod my head as I remember that part, which is starting to make a bit more sense now. “Okay, I follow you.”
“Yes, but what you don’t know, is that The Fates were forbidden to have a family, forbidden to fall in love.”
“Okay, you lost me again.” I say to Jacin. “What has this got to do with the prophecy?”
“My mother, her name is Lachesis.” Jacin says to me.
And now I’m so confused, he keeps hitting me with these random facts, I’m not following what he is trying to tell me.
“You don’t know much about The Fates, do you?” He asks me.
“Well, I’m not a history buff okay.”
“The Fates are made up of three sisters. One who spins the thread of life, the other, who allocates it and the last one who ends the thread of life.”
“Okay, I know that much.” I grumble out to him.
“The three sisters names; are Clotho, who is the spinner, Atropos ends the thread, and.” Jacin sighs before he continues. “Lachesis, who allocates the thread of life.”
My mind can’t keep up. Its processing the information that Jacin has just given me. But it doesn’t want to believe it. I can’t understand it. I don’t want to understand it. My mind wants to admit the truth that I do understand.
