Hinterland Fortress

  Ligo walked off.

Orgro and his merchant men and dwarves stared after Ligo for a moment. Silas marched past them. He took another coin, then followed Ligo.

Rhyal and Ender walked by with the cart and goats. They nodded and passed.

Orgro smacked his merchants and henchmen who hurriedly got the wagons.

Ligo sat in the tavern, drinking an ale. Silas sat next to him with his own. Ender and Rhyal came down from upstairs, looking clean and rested.

Rhyal sat, less adventuress looking and more casual. She was oddly beautiful, with red flowing hair, strong elven features. Her eyes were amber or red it seemed, or it may have been the lighting, or her internal fiery enchantments. Ligo wasn't sure. She wore a simple yet elegant robe.

Ender got an ale. He lifted it slightly to Silas who returned the salute. Both drank heartily.

The tavern was filled with workers, carpenters and masons. They were still fixing and repairing the fortress. The soldiers and guards were there laughing and singing. Several groups of brigands came in. All looked like they must have just arrived and were still annoyed at the place and the caked mud everywhere. They peered at Rhyal and her elven beauty. She ignored them.

They attended to their own need for ale and food. They'd be adventuring in the Evermire soon enough. And by the looks of them, they'd probably fall.

Ender shared a look with Rhyal, then Ligo.

A cleric of some sort, in drab garbs entered. He was short and stocky. He peered around and saw the fiery look of Rhyal. He sighed relief and came over.

Rhyal noticed but kept her eyes on Ligo who glared back at her.

"Excuse the intrusion, but Orgro told me of your success in the Evermire. Our church is seeking your service."
