“You didn’t even let me ask the question!” Connor scolded, but he couldn’t keep the grin from his face.
“I’m sorry.” She replied, wiping tears from her face. “Ask.”
“Alexandra Hughes, will you do me the very great honor of being my wife? Of letting me love you? Of forgiving me when I’m a stubborn ass?”
“Yes.” She grinned. “As long as you will let me love you, and forgive me when I’m being a stubborn ass.”
“I will.” He kissed her for several long, wonderful, glorious moments before she was swept up off the floor and deposited back in their bed.
“Happy Christmas, Lex.”
“Merry Christmas, Connor.”
