The Book of the Blade

“I hope you don’t think you’re going alone,” a voice said from the end of the hallway.

Sam turned and smiled when she saw Vicky standing there, defiance in her eyes, and utter determination in her stance. Beside her was Luna, death bat of Camazotz, and one of the fluffiest, puffiest creatures Sam had ever laid eyes on.

Vik let out a long sigh. “So be it. We speak with Zola in the morning, and then we head out. We travel just before daybreak, when Vassili will be weakest, and strike when you’ll be on more even terms with him. It is long past time he paid for his transgressions against the Pit.”

Vicky uncrossed her arms and blinked at the vampires a few times. “Wow, you’re way easier to convince than Damian.”

Sam grinned at Luna and Vicky. One more day and she’d have her chance to repay Damian for all he’d done. One more day and she’d have her chance to tear Vassili limb from limb for all he’d done.

  Sleep would not come easy.

Reviews are the most powerful tools I have when it comes to getting attention for my books. I don’t have a huge marketing budget like some New York publishers, but I have something even better.

A committed and loyal bunch of readers.
