Then the one Fateina, who had touched my forehead before, did it again and I was back in the cave.

“What did you see?’’ Darasin asked curiously.

Ceridwen glared at him. “That is for her to know not you ’’ he said firmly.

I stared at the imp and understood what I had seen should be discussed later. There was a moment of silence.

“Here’s Cademosi’’ Darasin said lightly as he handed me the baby dragon. I stared at him worriedly.

I held the baby dragon in my hand but he was getting bigger by the hour! Darasin saw my worried expression.

“What are we going to do with him?’’ I asked under my breath.

  “I don’t know ’’Darasin answered.

“We need to go to Rao ’’ I turned around and addressed everyone breaking the silence.

“That’s miles and miles away. I don’t think I could make it even as a phoenix ’’ Darasin said.

“We could summon a boat” Ceridwen suggested.

“How could we? There are no harbors in Ceraibell’’ I replied.

“Maywen there are many towns in this world that you might not have even heard of but they still exist. ’’ Ceridwen stated. I stared at the imp blankly.

“We must go to the coastal town of Fourtona’’ Ceridwen explained.

“How do you know that? ’’ Amersa inquired.

“I may be small but my brain is as big as yours ’’ Ceridwen snapped.

“All right. Now we know where were going you lead the way Ceridwen ’’ I told the imp.

“It would take us days to get to Fourtona if we go on foot. We need another mode of transportation. A Phoenix would make it seem like were invading and we don’t want any trouble with the Fourtonains.’’ Ceridwen thought out loud.

“Before we even start talking about that we need to get out of this cave.’’ Amersa stated.

“Right, let’s get out of here’’ Darasin said.

We reached the opening of the cave.

“So what are we going to do about getting to Fourtona?’’ Ceridwen asked.

“Don’t you have woodland magic or something?’’ Darasin asked.

“Of course I do, last I checked I was an imp’’ Ceridwen said.

Ceridwen pulled out his wooden flute and played a note then started to sing.

‘’O I look to the sky I look to tree o I want to see everything

Alas I cannot for I need to get to Fourtona so I ask you now spirit of tree to let us get there as can be’’

Then suddenly the air smelled of flowers and trees until three earth colored horses with bright green eyes and small gold pony for Ceridwen were in front of us. They had bright brown saddles on their backs. Their saddlebags were filled with food and other supplies we would need for the long journey.

“Horses’’ Amersa looked at Ceridwen unimpressed.

“These are very special horses faster, than any other horse in the world’’ Ceridwen boasted.

“Looks like a regular horse to me’’ Darasin said confused.

Ceridwen glared at him. “We could get to Fourtona in minutes.’’ added

“Alright let’s just get on them and go’’ Amersa said.

I hopped on one of them. Ceridwen was struggling to get on the pony’s saddle. I hopped off.

  “Need help?’’ I asked.

Before the imp could reply I picked him up and put him on the saddle. He stared angrily and mumbled something but I couldn’t catch it so I hopped on to the horse.

“Ready?’’ I turned around and asked.

When everyone replied positively the horses took off.

  Chapter 14

  On the Emerald Dragon

We had been riding on our horses for I couldn’t tell how much time had passed. I saw a town shrouded in mist; a gray ocean was on the east side of the town. The whole town was elevated and surrounded by rocks on the side where the ocean was to defend the town from storms.

“That’s Fourtonaa ’’ Ceridwen explained pointing to the town Maywen had seen.

As we trotted into the bustling town square, a crowd of townspeople gathered. They were dirty and poor. They were dressed in rags and wore no shoes.

“We mean no harm. We just need a sturdy vessel that will get us to Rao.’’ I said.

“Then you must go to the harbor on the eastside of town.’’ A woman stepped forward and told us this.

We walked on the wooden paths until we reached the harbor. Boats lined the water like soldiers marching for battle. I saw a plain boat with a dragon head for a masthead. On the side was the ships name in gold letters The Emerald Dragon.

“That one’’ I pointed to the boat called the Emerald Dragon.

Darasin started walking to the gangplank “Alright let’s just get on and … ’’

“Wait you have to pay the fee” a hoarse voice said in the shadows stretching out his filthy hand.

“Alright’’ Ceridwen gave him a few gold coins.

“You’ll need a crew to work the oars ’’ the voice said.

“We’ll manage without one” I said.

  “We will?’’ Darasin looked confused.

I turned around and whispered “We can just use magic.’’

  Darasin nodded understandingly.

“Okay let’s get on board’’ Ceridwen said.

“Wait!’’ I stopped Amersa and Darasin from getting on.

  “What is it?” they asked.

“You two have been fighting since Ariedun. It’s time to apologize.’’ I said firmly.

They stared at each other angrily then their expressions softened.

  “Fine’’ Amersa complied.

  “Sorry Darasin ’’Amersa apologized.

  She stared at him expectantly.

  “Sorry Amersa ’’ he said.

“Okay let’s get on board ’’ Ceridwen said.

“What about the horses?’’ I asked Ceridwen.

“Get them on board too’’ he replied.

I herded the horses to the gangplank. When the horses were on board I tied them on the crow’s nest.

“How are we going to use magic on the boat?’’ Darasin asked.

I chanted under my breath. Green mist swirled around the ship until it formed into dozens of tiny green dragons floating around. They did all the work a crew could do. Once one of the dragons released the anchor we were off.

So we're sailing of to Rao to find my lost brother who knows what will happen there or if we make it to Rao alive. The only thing that was positive: my friends stopped arguing
