“Excuse me sir, are you Mr Waters?” airport security asked,
“Is there something wrong? We're just waiting for our son he's supposed to be on a plane that should be here within the hour,” Dad replied.
“Sir, if you're Mr Waters we just got word the plane your son is on will be the next one in, and there is someone else on that plane that would like very much to meet you and your family. If you'll come with us we have been instructed to take you to where the plane will be once it's on the ground. I do have to ask though that only family come with. Anyone who is not family will need to stay in the terminal at least until the airplane is taxiing back out to the runway,” the security officer said.
Jeff's girlfriend looked crushed and Jeff got indignant that she wouldn't be allowed to be with him the whole time unless he stayed in the terminal with her.
“Jeff, Sam has been gone for almost two years and you'd rather stay here with Cynthia than come out with the rest of the family to welcome your brother home?” Dad asked.
“Dad, Sam probably still doesn't believe God exists, and I'm sure he won't even miss me if I don't come out there,” Jeff said.
Mom gave Jeff a dirty look, but didn't say anything. Jeff was her baby who believed in the church enough he was willing to go out and tell others about his God and how wonderful the church was.
“Jeff, Sam is your brother and it isn't like we'll be apart that long. Besides if that's the plane he's on... Jeff you have to go out there with your family. That's Air Force One, the Presidents plane. You might even get to shake hands with the President,” Cynthia said.
