“More…come on, Paul. I need you. Please.”

In everyday life Cliff projected the ultimate professional appearance and Paul loved seeing him unravel before his eyes, knowing only he got to see this intensely personal side of the man.

“You want me?” He rolled the condom down his erection and coated himself with lube, then teased around Cliff’s hole. “How much?”

Cliff reached out with both hands. “You’re fucking teasing me? Come on.” He wriggled and pushed, trying to force his body onto the head of Paul’s cock. “Paul,” he cried out.

Concentrating to keep from thrusting too deep and hard so as not to hurt Cliff, Paul sank into Cliff’s body, watching with fascination as he disappeared, inch by inch, until he sat firmly inside. Cliff squirmed and moaned.

“Oh, my God. Fuck me, please.”

Paul lost his control as Cliff moved on his cock. The tight muscle against his overly sensitive flesh sent ripples of fire down his spine, and he began to thrust, flexing and rolling his hips. His pace increased, Cliff meeting him stroke for stroke, his cock trapped between their sweating bodies.

Cliff locked his legs behind Paul’s waist, cried out and stiffened, his cock shooting streams of come over his abdomen. The blissful expression on Cliff’s face put Paul on top of the world. He gave Cliff that pleasure.

Physically, his release was quieter this time but no less emotionally intense and he trembled, holding on tightly to Cliff while burying himself deep inside his lover’s body. His breath hitched and he felt the corresponding thump of Cliff’s heart against his own thundering heartbeat. Paul rested his forehead against Cliff’s.

  “That was something.”

“Something else, you mean.” Cliff squeezed his ass. “Give me a few minutes, and I’ll be ready to go again.”

Paul groaned. “Are you trying to kill me?” Gazing down at Cliff’s bright face, eyes alive with amusement, his heart swelled again. Happiness, something foreign to his life now seemed like it might take up permanent residence in his heart. “You think you’re pretty funny, don’t you?” Not giving Cliff a chance to answer, he took him in a deep kiss, claiming his mouth and tongue.

Cliff grabbed onto his shoulders. “Mmm, nothing funny about this.” He rubbed his cheek against Paul’s and Paul held him tighter. “I’ve never been so dead serious in all my life when I say I’m exactly where I want to be, with the right person.”

Paul’s imagination had never allowed for this, and he still wasn’t sure he’d be able to separate work from pleasure and give Cliff the attention he needed and deserved.

“If I fuck up, give me a chance to make it up to you. I’m still learning this togetherness thing.”

“I will. And if I push too hard, don’t be afraid to tell me to back off.”

Paul dipped his head to kiss Cliff. “I won’t. And you’ll probably know because I won’t be around much. But that doesn’t mean I don’t want to be with you. Just that the job has to get done.”

They separated and Paul got rid of the condom and they went to shower. As they were drying off, Cliff asked, “What’s your next case?”

“Not sure. When we come in on Monday, we’ll look over our existing cases unless something happens over the weekend.”

Dressed in a T-shirt and boxers, Paul slid into bed and watched Cliff approach but not join him. He folded his arms and raised a brow. “What’re you waiting for?”

“I wouldn’t presume you’d want me to stay. I don’t want to push.”

“Always. There’s no one else I want with me.”

Cliff’s answering smile lit his face. “That’s nice to hear.” He got into bed and Paul turned out the light.

“Want to go running in the morning?”

“I don’t have my sneakers.” Cliff brushed his toes against Paul’s calf and his stomach tightened, the ache of desire always simmering, flaring to the surface.

“We can go back to yours and then drive to the park and have lunch after.”

  “Sounds like a plan.”

Cliff kissed his jaw and settled in next to him. Paul wrapped his arms around Cliff and spooned him. They fit perfectly, Paul curving his body around Cliff’s and sliding a leg in between Cliff’s thighs.

  “I’m full of good plans.”

  “I’m counting on it.”
