Pixie (Pixie Hollow Academy Book 1)

“I don’t want him in my home any longer. I feel like he is tainting it somehow. I just want to be free of him.”
“I would just kill him,” Velour snarls.
I laugh. “That’s your answer to everything.”
“Maybe, but it was his doing why my parents died and yours. You’re a better pixie then I.”
“Where do you plan on sending him? He may use the lands to return,” Felix asks.
“He’ll never return, trust me.”
“With my life, Pixie.” He smiles that cheeky smile.
I walk to the cell where I know the old king is. He looks up, a sneer on his face. I approach the bars, take out the keys and unlock the door. He lunges for me as soon as I am near, but my mates intervene and hold him away from me. Velour punches him, I smirk as he growls.
“That the best you can do?” he mocks.
“No, I can do more than Velour hitting you,” I say, stepping closer to him. “In fact, I have created a world just for you. A world for monsters. A world where you will never escape. A world where you will die a lonely pixie. Mother earth will never answer your call. The dark creatures obey me, they will watch you, and if so much as you try to command them, I have given them permission to kill you. They might anyway with the way you treated them on your old lands, so I would be nice if I were you.”
I step closer. He doesn’t say a word, just keeps his watchful gaze on me. I place my hand on his head, feeling the dull thrum of his dark magic. I pull, drawing it away from him. He struggles, but my mates hold on tight. All the magic he stole, all the essence that is his own, I take. Once I know it’s all gone, I remove my hand.
He slumps forward, but his eyes remain on mine. Glaring through those soulless black eyes.
“I took what’s yours, same as you took what didn’t belong to you. Now that energy has gone back to the earth where it belongs, and so my people can rest. You have caused so much damage from your action, taken those I love. No more. No more will you torment my people or your own. You will live in your own dark place.”
I swirl my hand behind me, creating the veil to his own personal hell. I turn back to him, moving to one side. “Welcome to hell,” I say, nodding to my mates as they shove him forward.
His arms flail, as he tries to steady himself. I give him once last push with my magic, sealing the veil on his surprised face.
Felix lifts me into the air, spinning me around. I squeal. I smack his chest when he stops, pulling him closer so I can kiss him. I look at each of them, their love and devotion encasing me.
“I love you all,” I say.
“We love you too, Pixie,” Zane replies.
And I know they do.
Ten Years later
“Mommy, Seren is teasing me again.”
My little one jumps into my arms, her little chubby face red. “Is that so?” I say, smiling.
Seren runs into the room, skidding to a halt when he sees me.
“She’s fibbing. I wasn’t teasing her.” Crossing his arm, he gives me the same look as his father when he’s mad.
“Velour, I think your son could do with another lesson on telling the truth,” I say turning to my mate. “I think our little dragon might be lying,” I say with my brow raised. I keep my face straight, my mate trying to do the same.
“Ummm,” he rumbles. “Maybe another lesson with your tutor will stop you lying.” He grins when he sees our sons face.
“No dad, he’s so boring.” He stomps over, grabbing my leg. His little purple wings fluttering. Like his father, they change when he shifts into his dragon form.
I tickle him under his chin, he ducks his head, batting my hand away.
“No hitting your mother,” Velour rumbles.
“See, I don’t hit mommy, or tell fibs,” Savannah says in my arms.
“You do, too,” Saren snaps.
“Why are they arguing again?” Felix says from the doorway.
“Daddy,” Savannah squeals, flying towards him. She’s in his outstretched arms in a flash.
“Hey baby girl, you been good for your mom?”
“I’ve been the bestest, I ate all my greens and I was a good pixie.” She snuggles in his arms.
His eyes always soften when she’s in his arms. His love for her makes my heart melt.
Another little voice joins in. “Where’s my hug uncle Felix?” my niece says from the veil that’s just opened.
“Hannah,” Savannah shouts, jumping out of her father’s arms and wrapping her cousin in a hug.
“Hi Savvy.” She hugs her tight.
Ava walks through next with my nephew on her hip. I walk to them giving her a hug and taking him from her arms. Little Jackson’s eyes lock onto mine. The intellect of such a young pixie staring at me in wonder. I swear if he could talk, he would.
“How’s your land? Have they finally found a balance?” I ask.
“They have. Finally, my people are happy and thriving.”
“Same as mine, many left to live in the human world. Silvia told me that her people are happy, they live off the lands and the school is growing.” I look at my sister, her eyes look troubled. “What’s happened?”
She sighs. “Some of the prisoners escaped. We haven’t located them yet. I hoped your sister would help me with a tracking spell.”
“I can do that,” Silvia says from the doorway. She smiles, giving me a hug and taking Jackson from my arms. She looks lovingly at him. He rests just above her bump. Her bump that grows every time I see her with her own child.
“Thank you. They have no magic, so can’t harm anyone. But they were my fathers most trusted guards. One of them being Roark.”
“I thought he was on our side?” Velour says from the corner where he is done telling off our son.
“He never was. Just another one of my father spies.”
“We will find them. Like you said they have no magic, thanks to our Pixie.” Velour places a kiss on my head. The proceeds to take Jackson out of Silvia’s arms.
Watching my males love my young family, well, it makes me want more. Currently being pregnant with my third, this one Zane’s, brings me joy. Of course, little Seren has his jealous moments, like he is with Savannah. But that makes it more fun, and I know he adores her.
“Let’s wait to locate those males. Let us celebrate the new arrivals to be and to our future,” I say.
I pick up my glass. “To our future.”
“Too our future,” everyone else says, even the youngsters.
I smile as the young play, and the watchful gaze of Jackson watching his family. He sees me watching when his head turns my way. He smiles, his eyes flashing blue before they settle on their normal black.
Interesting, I think to myself. I take him from Velour’s arms, placing him in my own.
“Who are you, my little cherub?”
He places his little hand on my face, I see a flash of blue dust and then my grandfather’s face before he fades into the background and my nephew’s little smiling face comes back into view.
“Hi grandfather,” I whisper.
“You see it too?” Ava asks.
“I do. Your boy will always be yours, but he will have an old soul.”
We both gaze at him as he falls asleep, his eyes drooping and flashing blue once more. I stroke his face.
“He is going to do great things,” I say, more to myself.
I look at my family, my perfect family as they talk and laugh. Four different races, all living in harmony. Just like our family wanted.
Something that will never change.
