The Room - A Sensuous Experience

“Why? Would that matter?”
Her eyes narrowed. “You tell me? You’re the one keeping secrets.”
Chapter 9
Eva clapped her hands together. “Great! It looks like we are finished here. I can show Mr. and Mrs. Claymont out. Umm . . . Robyn, should I wait for you downstairs?”
Maxwell answered for her. “No.”
She didn’t contradict him. Robyn and Maxwell continued to stare each other down as if they were the only two people in the room.
“Okaaay . . .” Eva suppressed a grin and put her hands up to her ear as if she were on the phone. She mouthed the words. Call me tomorrow, girl. She had to pretend as if she weren’t enjoying seeing her best friend fired up over the one that got away. “We can finish up our business later.”
As soon as the doors closed, Robyn hissed, “Why didn’t you tell me this was your house?”
Maxwell’s outer appearance was calm, but on the inside, he was seething. “Why? What does it matter?” Emotions he thought were long buried were apparently bubbling close to the surface. Maxwell couldn’t help but think that if anyone had a right to be angry it was him.
“Motives are important! This house . . . it’s too much of a coincidence. You knew all about what I wanted because I told you. It’s an exact replica of everything we discussed!”
Maxwell didn’t deny it. “You’re over-reacting.”
Her voice rose. ”Overreacting? Really? This shit is strange. It’s more than strange, it’s psycho!”
He attempted to downplay her concerns. “Believe me; I wouldn’t put that much energy into something you said years ago.”
“Wow.” Robyn threw her hands up. “Now, I get it. I hurt you, so you’ve come up with some elaborate scheme to return the favor.”
“Maybe the famous Robyn Levy has gone to your head after all if you think my decisions revolve around you.”
Nine years later, and Robyn felt as if Maxwell had finally got his chance to sucker punch her. All the fight went out of Robyn’s body. “You went through a lot of trouble to prove your point, but I get it. You made it. You’re successful, and I messed up because I let you go. Point made and you win.” Robyn turned to look for her shoes. She needed to get away from him. Robyn quickly found them as Maxwell watched her gather her things.
Mad as hell, Robyn stalked over to the door. Just as she opened it, and was about to walk out, Maxwell stopped her. He placed his large hand at the center of it and slammed it shut before turning her around to face him.
The unguarded anger in his eyes had put fear in other men. But not with Robyn. His anger was no match for hers. Hers could cut an artery.
One moment, they were staring each other down and the next, Maxwell had pulled her into the wall of his chest. His lips came crashing down onto hers.
Initially, her body stiffened as she placed both hands in between them and tried to push him away, but his firm lips on hers, made all common sense disappear. One minute, Robyn was struggling against him, and the next her arms had snaked up around his neck, molding her body to his as she passionately kissed him back.
The kiss was raw, filled with anger, and need.
Maxwell parted her legs and wedged himself between her thighs as he traced the seam of her lips with his tongue demanding that she open for him. Robyn was so caught up she didn’t know if she were coming or going, nor did she feel them moving backward until her back butted up against the wall. Her gasp allowed just enough space for Maxwell to slip inside her mouth deepening the kiss. Jesus. He thought her mouth was the sweetest thing he’d tasted in years and not just because she tasted like the wine they had earlier – delicious and perfect.
Passion exploded between them.
His kiss burned through her. The confusion and anger no longer mattered. Robyn just wanted him, all of him, and she would deal with the rest later.
He felt her surrender. He knew it the second it happened and thought to himself, she’s already mine, but I’ll make her wait, torture her slowly, maybe even make her beg until she knows it too.
The smacking noises intensified as their kiss grew more and more passionate. Maxwell’s tongue dueled with hers. Exactly like he planned to her body later.
Maxwell tore his lips away from hers. “You can’t imagine how long I’ve thought about this.”
Her voice came out in a breathless whisper. “Mmm . . . probably as long as I have.” She threw her head back, and Maxwell took full advantage. Breathing heavy, he leaned in and ran his tongue over the soft curve of her neck, alternating between gentle little bites and kisses.
Robyn panted. “God, that feel so good.”
Maxwell had said he was good at multi-tasking and proved it when he managed to push the thin straps of her dress off her shoulders and kiss her senseless. Soon after, Robyn felt the material pool at her feet. She wasn’t wearing a bra and stood only in a lace thong.
His hands moved to her breasts. Maxwell used his thumbs as he worked them back and forth over her nipples. They were so sensitive and responsive. He dropped his head lower and dipped down to capture a nipple into his mouth. He sucked and licked it with tongue.
“Ahhh . . .” Robyn moaned in pleasure. She gripped a handful of his hair and pulled him by the back of his head as close as humanly possible while Maxwell greedily devoured her. She needed more. Her body demanded more. When Robyn pressed her heat onto his thigh, which was wedged between her legs and rolled her hips, he threw his head back.
Her hands got busy and moved down his chest. She tried to unbutton his shirt, but the buttons were just too small. In her hurry, Robyn snatched it open, popping the remaining ones off and somehow managing to free the shirt from his pants and body.
Maxwell hissed from the skin-on-skin contact when Robyn pressed up against him. She felt wonderful, fuckin’ fantastic, and he hadn’t even been inside her yet. Maxwell wanted to touch her everywhere all at the same time. She was soft and kissable and, before the night was over, he was going to lick every inch of her body.
He glided his hands down the smooth expanse of her skin and hooked his thumbs through each side of her thong, pulling it down as far as it could go. Robyn helped as she shimmied them all the way off. Now she was standing completely naked before him. She felt powerful when she saw the heat in his eyes.
“You look like a tasty snack.” He moved to eliminate any and all space between them.
“Wait.” Robyn unbuttoned and unzipped his pants. “It’s not fair that I’m completely naked and you’re not.”
A sexy grin appeared on his face. “No, it’s not. Let me fix that right now.” Maxwell removed his pants and underwear at the same time. He stood at full attention, curved, and slightly arching up toward his navel.
Robyn licked her lips in anticipation. She’d known how much pleasure he’d given her in the past.
Maxwell allowed her to look her fill before he brought her body back to his and lifted her up. She wrapped her legs around his waist and her arms around his neck. Her liquid heat clenched, and she couldn’t wait to be filled as she sat directly on his erection. Her eyes briefly closed as they made contact. The feeling to satisfy her need was so intense that she began to squirm, uncontrollably rolling her hips back and forth.
Her jerky movements caused Maxwell to thrust forward. He made contact with her clit, and Robyn’s eyes rolled into the back of her head. She needed him to be buried deep inside of her.
Nine years of fantasizing about this moment was too long. Maxwell’s hands moved down to the sides of her hips to try and steady her movements. She was so eager, and it only made him harder, which he didn’t think was possible. His body was talking to hers, saying everything they didn’t have the words to say. Maxwell thrust up into her softness at the same time Robyn brought her flesh down onto him. He touched nerve endings that she didn’t know existed.
She called out his name as she begged. “Maxwell. Please.”
His hands dug into the fleshy part of her ass and squeezed. He pres
sed her into him. “Please what?”
She moaned even louder. “I need you.” Robyn thought she was going to explode. Her body was like an inferno.
“What do you need?”
“You.”
“What about me?”
Robyn entwined her fingers into his hair while arching her body up against his. He felt her juices spread all over him as she slid back and forth. But Maxwell wouldn’t play fair. He wanted nothing more than to slam into her but not yet. Robyn hadn’t answered, and he wouldn’t give her what she wanted until she did. He asked again. “What about me?”
Breathlessly she spoke. “You. Inside. Me.”
Maxwell pulled Robyn from off the wall and carried her over to the bed. He had no problem depositing her on top of it without breaking contact.
He pressed her into the mattress as he adjusted and lined himself up at her entrance. He kissed her deeply, and she returned it.
Maxwell caged her head in-between his arms and kissed her. Robyn thought she was finally about to get some relief, but he didn’t surge forward into her opening. He only pushed the head of himself inside her.
Robyn lifted off the bed to get more. “Ahh . . . ahh . . . oooohhh . . . God, YES!”
“Tell me there’s nobody like me.”
“What?” She didn’t know what the hell Maxwell was saying. She just knew she needed more.
“Tell me there’s nobody like me.”
She would have told him the moon was purple to get him to fully sheath himself inside of her. “Yes. You. Nobody.”
He inched forward just a little more. It was killing him not to thrust all the way inside of her; almost as badly as he knew it was killing her. “That’s not what I said. You want more?”
Her head moved from side to side on the pillow. She dragged her nails down the curve of his back. Robyn could barely form words as her body started to pulse around him, but he wouldn’t move.
Maxwell commanded her again. “Say it. There’s nobody like me.” Beads of sweat were starting to appear on his forehead.
Somehow, Robyn managed to say the words. They came out airy. “There’s nobody like you.”
That was all it took for his control to snap. Maxwell thrust forward. He began to pump in and out of her like a man possessed. She was so tight, and Robyn clenched around him like a glove.
“Damn, you’re so hot and wet.” All Maxwell wanted to do was to drill into her. The sound of them making love as he slammed in and out made them even wilder - like animals panting and growling as they tried to get satisfaction.
The pain-pleasure was unlike anything Robyn had ever known. It surpassed their time together when they were younger, and she didn’t want it to end.
Maxwell rolled his hips into her. Each movement caused her breath to hitch a bit more. He tried to savor this moment, but he wanted this too much. He held her hips still as he lost himself into the sweetness of her body. He drove deep only to pull out and drive deeper than the last time. Maxwell pulled her legs up, wrapping them around his waist as he pounded and pounded into her. No one had ever been able to take him fully. It was as if she were made just for him.
Robyn started to tighten around his hardness as he continued to thrust forward and back out, doing it again and again. She wasn’t sure how much longer she could hold on. She could feel the beginning of spasms. Ripples of pleasure went through her entire body.
Maxwell was surprised he’d lasted this long, considering how much he’d wanted this moment. He had been afraid he might embarrass himself and cum the moment he entered her. Now, he was powerless to the slow the building orgasm, and he was about to erupt.
He whispered into her ear, “Cum for me baby.” Sweat dripped off his body and onto hers as he shifted his focus to making sure she found her release before he did. It took superhuman concentration.
The sound of his voice was all it took. She squeezed her eyes together and exploded like the finale at a Fourth of July celebration.
Her release spurred his on. Maxwell had every intention of pulling out at the last minute. He realized he hadn’t put on a condom, but Robyn was still clenching around him, and she felt too good. He’d lost complete when he erupted and spilled his seed. It was the most powerful orgasm Maxwell had had in his life.
It took some time for them to catch their breath and come down from the euphoria of their lovemaking. Maxwell shifted his weight so that he wouldn’t crush Robyn. He pulled her toward him in a spooning position.
Robyn was in heaven. This was the most powerful bout of lovemaking she could ever recall. She snuggled deeper into his arms.
Maxwell was pretty damn satisfied and wanted to make sure she was too. “Are you good?”
Robyn decided to be a little mischievous. “I’m alright.”
“Alright?”
She giggled. “I don’t know. I might have to go again to know for sure.”
He buried his head in her neck. “I think the way you were screaming my name, pretty loudly I might add, tells me you had a damn good time.”
They bantered back and forth for a while until she turned her head toward him. Hope was shining brightly within her eyes. “I can’t say I’ve ever had a night like this.”
Maxwell didn’t know what to say. So he didn’t say anything. He kissed her softly on the lips and pulled her tighter into him.
Robyn lay in the crook of Maxwell’s arm and ran the tips of her fingers up and down his forearm. She hadn’t felt this content since the last time she’d been in his arms.
They rested then made love a couple more times before they fell asleep from exhaustion.
Chapter 10
Maxwell gazed over at Robyn’s sleeping face. Throughout the night, he’d kissed off almost all her makeup, and her hair was all over the place. It fanned out over the sheets, making her look like a goddess. He smiled smugly as he corrected himself—a well-loved goddess. That woman had always been his weakness, and from the looks of things, nothing had changed that over the years. That wasn’t good.
Instead of feeling content, Maxwell was restless and decided to get up. It was early. So early that the sun had barely begun to rise, and it had only been a few hours since they had fallen asleep. He hated to leave the warmth and softness of her body but forced himself to go.
Maxwell grabbed his robe from the foot of the bed and padded barefoot over to the floor-to-ceiling window. At some point, the fire had died down. The cold marble floors weren’t unwelcome. He needed something to jolt some sense into him. Maxwell stood with one arm raised above his head leaning on the window watching the snow fall. Briefly, he closed his eyes and ran his hand down his face and slowly inhaled. His hands smelled like her. Hell, he smelled like her. Thinking about all the things they’d done to each other caused him to go from a semi-state of arousal to a full hard-on. Sex hadn’t been this good in a very long time.
Glancing back over his shoulder to look at the naked beauty who slept in his bed, Maxwell mumbled to himself. “This is going to get complicated.”
The grounds were covered several inches deep in snow. He knew it was going to storm but didn’t realize the extent of it. More than likely, it would be awhile before someone could come and plow the drive. If he was snowed in with Robyn, that could make the rest of his day either heaven or hell. More than likely, it would be the latter. He should have known his plan would backfire.
He fucked up. One night. His time with Robyn was only supposed to be for one night. Years ago, she had stolen his heart. All he wanted to do was take it back so that he could move on. Maxwell had hoped to get Robyn out of his system once and for all. He wasn’t a whipped little boy anymore. He was a grown man. As many times as they’d had sex, he thought that would have done the trick. But, damn it, if he didn’t want to wake her up and slide inside her body again.
Marissa deserved a commitment. They weren’t dating exclusively but had known each other for a while. He knew she wanted more, but Maxwell couldn’t commit, and the reason was lying in bed
just across the room.
He hadn’t heard Robyn wake up and get out of bed. It wasn’t until she came up behind him and pressed her body into his back that he knew.
She wrapped her arms around his waist and held on tight. She spoke softly. “I often wondered what a sunrise in this room would look like. It’s even more breathtaking than I imagined.”
Maxwell grudgingly agreed. It made him angry that everything about this moment felt right. He’d never been this complete with any other woman, and he hated it. His voice was gruff. “It’s nice . . . I guess.”
Robyn sensed something was off but ignored it. “I still can’t believe how much of my dream home you remembered.” She pressed her lips to the center of his back and held on tighter.
“Did I? Honestly, I didn’t have as much input on the planning as you might think. Marissa worked closer with the architects than I did.” It was a lie, but it was a necessary. He didn’t want Robyn to think what happened between them was going anywhere or that this house meant more to him than it did.
Robyn stiffened. “Marissa? W-who is that?”
Maxwell didn’t answer.
She let her arms drop and stepped back. “You didn’t tell me you had a girlfriend.”
Maxwell turned to face her. “You didn’t ask.”
Her voice was starting to rise. “What? Ask?” She almost choked. “Are you serious?”
He walked past her to pick up his cell phone from off the table. He turned the ringer back on and checked the messages. As Maxwell scrolled through his phone, he said. “I can see you haven’t lost your knack for the dramatic.”
Robyn’s head was spinning. What was happening? Last night couldn’t have been more perfect if she had planned it herself. “I’m sorry . . . wait. I guess I got lost with all the bullshit you were spewing about finding the right one.”
Maxwell didn’t look up from his phone. “The right one wouldn’t only be interested in me now that I’m a successful businessman.”
