has happened to the Deities? Two of you have succumbed to darkness..." "SILENCE!" Ryan interrupted. I fell silent. "If you will not help us, leave. I will not have stupid immortals telling me what to do!" I woke up, face first on the ground. The sky was still dark and battle sounds were still coming from the city. I heard movement nearby. I jumped at it, knives drawn. Great. Athena was there. Before my knives contacted with her head, I bounced off of her magical barrier. Damnit. She looked at my body, face up, and proceeded to speak. "Hello, love!" Perfect, now she speaks like a grandmother would. She lifted me to my feet. "Now, Darling, you will now share you immortality" my knives were up, but she threw some sort of black liquid on me. She sneered. "Physical control potion" I rolled my eyes. "I know, I forfeit control of my movable parts, and so forth." I passed out partway through the trek she lead me on.

I woke up hours later. My arms were bruised, my legs aching and clothes tattered, like I hastily dressed myself for battle. I pushed myself to my knees and looked around. A maze. Beside me, was a pile of vomit and blood, oddly mixed together, and parallel to it, a streak of blood. I looked down, my knees were bloody, I felt worn out and tired. So here is what I though at the time: Athena brought in a priest to marry my body. My body knelt down to propose. The priest grew sick during this, threw up, and was brutally murdered by Athena, in the spot that she stood.

  But...

The vomit was too far away to be where Athena was, and the blood streak doesn't match that story... then it hit me.

The third type of gaining immortality.

My eyes widened, and I rushed towards camp, hobbling though the maze. My leg seemed to be twisted. "What an inconvenience." I said to myself as I limped towards the distant battle sounds. Partway through this, I fell onto the ground, and blacked out. I woke up to see... a black-suited person. Their hood was up, with some sort of second hood to cover their mouth. Their hair was in a weird fashion, two separate strands slicked back straight through a hole in the hood, as well as two long strands coming out the front, poking out the front of the hood. They looked at me, and winked. She removed her lower hood. I sat up and she looked at me. "You are handsome aren't you?" A soprano voice crooned. I think this was a female. I stood up. "Not interested." I stated gruffly. She came closer. "Oh really? What do you look for in a girl?" I hate stuff like this. "Well, I want one who doesn't mind assassins, or death. Or blood. And is willing to go through torture for eternity." She came closer still, and laughed as well as gestured to herself. "Look at me! I'm a ninja!" She said sarcasticly. "I deal with lots more blood than you have pretty boy!" I gave her an odd look. Okay, before I continue, let me say something. She looked very young and childish. She also, had a high-pitched shrill voice, also like a child's. I looked at her. "What is your kill count?" She looked uncertain. "I lost count in the three hundreds." She smiled again. I looked at her. And said "Yesterday I killed an entire army." She looked skeptically at me. "Oh reeeeally?" I froze time, then shifted to behind her. "Now you believe me?" She turned jumped back in shock. "Wow. Not even a ninja could do that..." I laughed aloud "Oh a NINJA! That is what you are pretending to be." She pouted. I continued "I thought you were a little girl in a mage robe. Ninjas are ineffective. Assassins and Swordsmasters are more reliable." She looked angry, but it was a contained anger. "So, will you go on a date with me?" I looked gravely at her. "If I survive... you know, I like your personality. If you would like to, I can use your help." She became so unbelievably cheerful after, that I smiled at her, and continued to limp across the maze. I tried to climb, the walls, but the girl couldn't follow. I kept her, She might work for a meat shield. She was also very cheery... that might boost morale. I looked at her and smiled. "What is your name miss?" She pouted again. "Now you sound like a cranky old man. I prefer to be called... darling or... love" I chuckled. "Not likely. What is your name miss?" She sighed "Kan-Yuko. Others call me Nah, for I am easygoing, but you can call me sweety." I rolled my eyes. "Not likely miss!" She pouted again. Finally. A fire came into view. Lucia came running towards me, smiling at Nah as she passed. I tried to look terrified as I said... "Athena is immortal." Before she could say anything I shook my head "No. Number three!" Lucia scowled at me. "First, I was at her will. Second, I passed out." Lucia knows I never lie with serious stuff. Ivan walked up to me. "Introduce me to.. you know... your lady friend" I looked at him. "Ivan. This is Nah." Nah pushed him away with a look of disgust.. "No chance, theif-boy!" Ivan smiled. "That's okay, maybe another time." I looked at the entire camp. "This is the last night. Tomorrow, no more soldiers will bother Garnet. Lets have a vote. Those wishing to precede with Animus?" Hector and Lucia raised their hands. "And those wishing to aid the city?" Five hands rose. "Well, that is settled. Lets get ourselves together." We swiftly cleaned site and left for Garnet. Along the way, I had a Future/Past conversation with Lucia.

  "Remember the Great Cat?"

  Lucia laughed.

"Wonderful woman. Truly deserved her position as Soviet ruler."

  I continued.

"And Artie! But he didn't like you."

  Lucia looked troubled.

"He didn't like that I was a girl knight. The only at his table. But then I kicked the crap out of him, and he gave me some respect."

  I smiled.

"And Jules! I love that guy!"

  Lucia smiled

"He was an amazing man. A great Roman. We gave him lots of help, and he was a kind and noble man in return!"

"Remember Ken? Too bad I had to assassinate him"

"Oh and Isa! She was the best ruler of Spain."

"Church was a wickedly awesome Englishman."

"And Khan? That guy was surprisingly smart. For a Mongolian."

Mattais dropped back to us. I filled him in "We're just remembering all those awesome people we met on the way here." Mattais was amused.

"Liz was one beautiful English princess."

  "Um, she became queen Mattais."

  "Oh yeah. And Lisa?"

"I love Lisa. I need to visit her again."

  "You like female scientists Xavier?"

  "Yeah! Lisa is amazing!"

  "Sure thing Otto."

"That was just an alias. Shut up."

As we approached the city we caught glimpses of a still strong army of about. 58,264 Soldiers still fought. We lost surprisingly little. Four Giants Stomped around, being assaulted by waves of soldiers. The enemies were almost spent, and then I heard a screetch. Nah and Hector simultaneously screamed "DRAGON!!!" But Lucia and I were more frightened. "WYVERN!!!" A giant winged, two-legged snake came from absolutely nowhere, snatched up Nah, and tried to fly away. I refused to lose my primary meat shield. "Hang on Miss!" I called to her. Loaded a stygian alloyed imperial arrow, and shot the wyvern down in one arrow. I walked up to it, retrieved my arrow, along with a few other important items, like a sac of invincible scales, some nice dragonhide, it's eyes (For potions), twelve vials of venom and six teeth. Wow. I took all the useful parts. The enemies stopped appearing, and the city was silent and still for a few moments, then erupted into cheers of joy. I whispered under my breath "Living One more day is exciting once the threat is behind you." And I still have not told Ivan yet.
