Accidental Slave to the Aliens
Page 30
As they argued over Aedar’s beat sheets, Avery felt her whole body relax. She bit her lower lip to stop herself from laughing. It was nice seeing them like this, both having long given up using their wrist bands. Even when they went out of the house, there was no need to hide the color of their skin anymore. They were, however, wearing Terran clothes 24/7, as a message of gratitude and respect for the people who’d welcomed them, and all the Kralians under their command, on Earth. Avery had made sure their warrior outfits were clean and securely stored, though. She figured she could ask them to wear them just for her every once in a while.
“Don’t just stand there. Come help.”
Kryan’s voice startled her. Damn it. He’d sensed her. There was no way she could ever sneak up on them, was there? She sighed and went to sit down on the couch, next to Aedar.
“Are you okay?”
“Err… yes? You didn’t actually think I’d fall down the stairs, did you?”
The Kralian chuckled nervously. He ran his hand through his dark, messy hair and averted his gaze.
“It’s not about that. You seem… off.”
“Off?”
No! It wasn’t possible! She’d just found out herself, only ten minutes ago, and even though she’d wanted to jump and scream in excitement, she’d done her best to hide her thoughts and feelings from them. She was doing it now, too. There was no way they could know. Not yet.
Kryan looked up, concern and a thousand questions dancing in his silvery eyes.
“What did you say?”
Avery blinked in confusion. “Nothing.”
He studied her for a few seconds, then shrugged and pretended to go back to his papers.
“You’re confusing me more and more every day. You think or say something random, then deny it.”
Avery threw her hands in the air. “But I didn’t say anything!” The second the words rolled off her lips, her blue eyes went wide with understanding. “Oooooh!”
Both Kryan and Aedar looked up at her, as if they were finally close to unearthing a mystery that had been chewing at their minds for weeks.
“Oh what?”
“Oooooh!!!” She started laughing.
“Oh what?!” Kryan was growing impatient.
She waved him off and grabbed her tummy as she laughed harder and harder, until she slid off the couch and her bum hit the floor. Aedar made to help her back up, but she swatted his hands away.
“No, no… I’m good.” She dragged in a deep breath. “Just give me a second.”
“What’s up with you?” Kryan threw his pen on top of the papers and crossed his arms over his bulky chest.
“Well, you see… Err… It’s not my thoughts that you’ve been hearing.”
The brothers exchanged a quick glance.
“We can make the difference between each other’s mental and emotional signatures and yours.”
She stuck her index finger out as if she was about to tell them how sorely they were mistaken.
“But you can’t yet make the difference between my signature and…”
“And?”
Avery pointed at her flat belly. “His signature. Or her signature. I have no idea what it is.”
“What?!” Aedar jumped to his feet, almost knocking over the coffee table.
Kryan’s arms fell limp to his sides. He opened his mouth, but nothing came out. He was vaguely aware of his brother pacing the floor like a caged lion. He would have loved to do the same right about now, but he couldn’t find the power to move or react in any way.
“Are you sure?” Aedar asked with trembling voice.
Avery pulled herself back up on the couch and stuck out her chin proudly. She’d just managed to leave Kryan speechless and motionless. That was nothing to sneeze at.
“I’m pregnant. The test is in the bathroom upstairs, if you want to see with your own eyes. But, not now… I kind of got pee all over the floor.”
Aedar approached her carefully, almost stealthily, like a big cat that didn’t want to scare its food away. This time, though, the big cat didn’t want to eat its prey. It wanted to befriend it, then maybe change its mind later.
Avery had never seen him like that. His intense gaze made goosebumps break out all over her arms and legs. She leaned away from him slightly, then realized how silly she was being, and stood her ground. When he offered her his hand, she took it and rose to her feet before him.
“I don’t need to see it,” he whispered. “I can feel it.”
She sighed and closed her eyes when his hands traveled down her body and stopped on her belly. She could feel him trying to connect to the small being that was growing inside her. Her intuition had told her she might be pregnant even when her body hadn’t, and that was why she’d gone out and bought the pregnancy test. Now that Kryan and Aedar had told her they’d been hearing random thoughts and feeling random things for weeks, she understood that they had known all along. Well, maybe not exactly known for sure, but felt, nonetheless. With this, they were just as inexperienced as she was.
Kryan came back to his senses and managed to join them. He hugged Avery from behind, and she leaned into him, allowing him to support her as she abandoned herself to their will and gentle touches. His hands soon joined Aedar’s on her belly, and they stood like that for long minutes, all three of them connected mentally and emotionally, welcoming the new soul to their family.
Avery smiled.
“I can hear her. Now I know. We’re going to have a daughter.”
She opened her eyes, then closed them again when Aedar pressed his lips to hers. Kryan was already tracing kisses along her neck, and she could feel his hard cock against her lower back. Nothing felt more divine than being trapped like this between her two favorite aliens in the universe.
“You deserve a prize,” Kryan said huskily.
“Mmm… here?”
Aedar chuckled. “No. Upstairs.”
“But I’m so bad with stairs.” She moaned jokingly. “What if I fall?”
He grabbed her by the back of her thighs and lifted her up.
Avery laughed and wrapped her legs and arms around him, then went “oops!” and grabbed Kryan’s shirt to pull him after her and Aedar. Her core was already throbbing for them. Her panties were soaked just at the thought of what was waiting for her behind the closed door of Aedar’s bedroom.
“Oh well, another day, another dress ruined…”
