“It doesn’t look good.” Dad steps towards me.

Mum presses her lips into a thin line. “It’s too early to tell if he’ll make it.”

I move away from them again, and my back hits the front door. My fingers tighten on the purse in my hand. Blood rushes to my ears and my heart pounds. Hospital? Accident? What kind of accident? What do they mean, if he’ll make it? I want to ask my parents these questions, and so many more, but when I open my mouth, no sound comes out.

I shake my head. My hands go numb. This can’t be happening.

  “No,” I whisper.

  Levi is in the hospital?

He can’t be. I’m ready to tell him I forgive him. Starting from now, we’re supposed to have our entire future ahead of us, but what if he doesn’t make it?

  I can’t lose him.

  I love him.

My heart breaks at the thought that I may not be able to tell him.

Are we over before we’ve had the chance to begin?

Find out what happens next in Everything, part three of All the Things.

FIRST THANKS GO TO Selina Fenech and Serene Conneeley. This book wouldn’t be where it is now without your amazing help and support. Thank you for the encouraging talks, the wine and tea, for not making speeches, and just believing in me.

To my wonderfully patient and supportive husband, Brendon, I promise you can read it when I’m finished, so stop looking over my shoulder.

Thank you, Emily and Jayden, for reminding me what life is about when I’m lost in my own imagination. You both keep me grounded when I need it most.

To the countless people I interact with on a daily basis in the online self-publishing community. Thank you, your stories and advice do not go unnoticed. I’m very grateful to be a part of the indie network.

To my editor, Lauren Clarke, thank you for your all-round awesomeness.

And to my readers, I hope you enjoyed the second part of Katie’s story.
