Made For Each Other

  After calling dad, Shawn asked me what He said. "He said yes, but if you deflower me he will feed you to the sharks." I chuckled.

  "Well, no unholy behavior. I just want to hold you in my arms, kiss you and tell you how beautiful you are." He said while putting me on his lap, I wrapped my arms around his neck as his arms rested on my waist. "You're so sweet, cheesy, handsome and a great guy. The whole package. And I'm lucky to be here with you." I said before placing a soft kiss on his lips.

  "Well, I'm the lucky one." He smiled making me smile. Us being here, felt right. After being cheesy with each other we went to his room and changed to pj's, we laid on his bed and he pulled me closer, I snuggled to him and we fell asleep.

  The next morning

  After grabbing breakfast, he dropped me home, of course we made out in the car. Once he released my lips, I got out of his car. He said he would call me later. I made my way inside the house and went to the living room where Emma was.

  "Hey munchkin,” I greeted Emma as she walked towards me and hugged me. "I missed you sissy."

  “I do too,” I smiled. "Daddy is going to show me home videos of mommy. Do you want to watch?" She said excited. "of course." I smiled. Dad came to the living room and put the home videos. He sat next to us and put play. After five years, I'm hearing her voice again. It felt so great to hear her, I cried while seeing her. She was such an amazing person.

  "Mommy was so pretty." We looked at Emma who was crying. "You look a lot like her, sissy." She said while climbing on my lap and hugged me so tight.

  "You look like her too, munchkin. You got her beautiful blue eyes." I said as she smiled.

  "You both look like, Emma." Dad said. Emma looked at him surprised. We never told her mom's name. For one we didn't want to make her cry and we figure it was best to wait till she was a bit older, like now. "I have the same name as Mommy?" She said with teary eyes.

  "Yes, before giving birth to you, she said she wanted to put Emma as your middle name. But in honor of her, I put it as first." He said while wiping her tears."You both got something from her. Harmony has Blonde hair like Emma and you’re short like she was.” He smiled, we just chuckled. “I used to call your mom shorty." He said causing us to laugh. "And you little princess, you got her beautiful blue eyes and her bunny nose." He said while touching her nose lightly, she giggled. "You girls are the best gift your mother gave me. You both are my world and my reason to live." He said while hugging us.

  "We love you dad." I said as we both hugged him. We may not be rich or live in a big house, but we were very happy. We have the best dad in the whole world. And even though mom is not here. She was amazing.

  Chapter 12

  Drama

  Two weeks went by. Shawn comes everyday to my house, I liked it when he was here. Emma stole him from me to play dolls with him. I chuckled when he made a girly voice to play with her. She giggled. Shawn was perfect. And I was very lucky to have an amazing guy in my life.

  As I was leaving school, I saw Shawn leaning on his car. I walked over there and he pulled me into a kiss. "Hello to you." I said against his lips. "Hey, beautiful,” he greeted me as he smiled against my lips.

  "What brings you here?"

  "I wanted to see this gorgeous girl that has me crazy." He said while caressing my face. I gave him a quick kiss.

  "Gold digger,” one girl yelled.

  “Yeah I would be careful. She's only after your money, she’s extremely poor. She doesn't like you." Someone else yelled.

  "She told us about this new rich boy, and said she was lucky and she will go from poor to rich," another one yelled.

  "I didn't say that, I promise." I said with teary eyes.

  "I know you didn't, get inside the car, we're going for a drive." He smiled. We got inside his car and he drove us to a beach that was ten minutes from school. Once we arrived, we got off and walked on the beach. I love the breezy air and the crash of waves. It relaxes me. He interlaced our fingers as we walked. "Don't listen to those nasty comments, they're just jealous."

  "It's not just now, they always say nasty comments to me. They said the most cruel comment, one time." I said as my voice started to break.

  "You don't have to say it."

  "They said, my mother chose death over us. How can someone be so cruel and say that?" I sobbed. He pulled me into a hug.

  "Because they're assholes and they feed from the pain of others, makes them feel good about their pathetic lives." He said while rubbing my back. "Thanks for not believing what people says about me. Means a lot." I sobbed. "I'll always believe you, not what other people I don't know says about you." He said while wiping my tears.

  "I'm glad I have you in my life." I hugged him.

  “I do too, beautiful,” he smiled while hugging me back. We walked a bit more, than went to grab dinner at this beautiful restaurant in front of the beach.

  "Uhm, I can't afford this." I whispered. He just chuckled, "I'm paying, you're my date." He winked. I just blushed.

  "You know, we always go to a fancy place, how about if you go with me to the carnival next week, filled with greasy food, games and rides. I bet you've never been there." I chuckled.

  "We went one time with Papa and Nana, we were five. Then when we wanted to go again, our parents never let us go, said it wasn't for our social status. We stopped insisting, we grow up and forgot about it." He sighed.

  "Well, excuse me for this, but your parents are tools. The carnival is for everyone. Once you're there, the little kid inside you takes control and you have fun." I said and he just chuckled. "If I haven't mentioned this before, I love how you express yourself about things. It's very refreshing." He said before giving me a kiss.

  "Thank you. So are you in? Your sister is also going with Trisha."

  "All right, I'm in. And we're gonna get in every ride. Hope you like heights." He replied while pinching my cheeks.

  "I love heights. So next week it will be you, me and the carnival." I said while wiggling my eyebrows, he laughed. After dinner he took me home, we kissed goodbye and I went inside the house.

  "Munchkin?"

  "She fell asleep, after dinner." Dad replied. "I'm tired too." I yawned.

  "I'm going to bed too, big day tomorrow, night princess." He kissed my forehead than went to his bedroom. I went to give a kiss to Emma then went to my room.

  The next morning

  Aunt Cheryl came to take care of Emma while dad and I were out. I was in my lockers when I heard Donna yelled, "Fuck you, I hope you fucking rot in hell!" She walked to inside bathroom, I followed her there and then locked the door.

  "What happened?"

  "Jesse broke up with me, he got bored with our relationship," she sobbed.

  "But he looked so in love with you."

  "Well, cause it was new. He got bored of going to my house, or going on dates. He said he wasn’t ready to get more serious."

  "Donna? Did you guys had sex?"

  "Yeah, we did it for the first time last-" she stopped. "now it makes sense, he only wanted to have sex with me. Now that he did, he doesn't want anything to do with me."

  "Please tell me you used protection."

  "We did. He turned out to be the biggest jerk on the planet."

  "I'm here for you." I hugged her. "Thanks, Harmony." She hugged me back while crying.

  After school was over, Donna went to her house. I went to search for Jesse. I found him in the gym talking to a teacher, I waited for the teacher to go. I waited a few minutes and finally he was gone. I walked over there. "You know, there are other ways to break up. Did you really had to tell her that you got bored?" I said with crossed arms.

  "I'll admit that was cold, but I didn't see us going further, it was nice while it lasted, but we became a routine. There's nothing more lethal than the routine."

  "Can you at least talk to her and this time be nice and not a douche?"

  “I will, bye Harmony." He said before leaving. He's right, the routine is very lethal, I'm p
roof of it when I was working with the kings.

  I see Shawn everyday talk on the phone, we're cheesy. And we don't get bored with each other, we're those people who says, no you hang up. Yeah were something else and we're not even a couple. Wonder if he'll ever ask me.

  Chapter 13

  Carnival

  Shawn told me he wanted me to meet some important people, I wonder who. I got ready and as soon as I was about to leave my room, I saw Emma holding the doll Shawn gave her.

  "Will you play with me?" She said while pouting. I hate saying no to her, she didn't have friends since she was bullied and now being in the house while her heart heals. "Of course, let me just make a call." I said as she nodded. She went to the living room. I called Shawn and told him I had something important to do. He said that he was on his way. We would talk better here. Ten minutes later there was a knock on the door, I let him come in, he gave me a kiss then went to say hi to Emma. He saw the table and there was tea cups and her stuffed animals.

  He told me he needed to make an important call. After making his call, he joined us and played tea party. I could never bring myself to say no to Emma. I would leave anything to make her happy and be there for her.

  Thirty minutes later there was a knock on the door. I went to open it and it revealed two people. They looked around seventy-five, give it or take it. "Hi, who are you?"

  "Nana, Papa, it’s so good to see you." Shawn said while walking towards the door and then hugged them. "Harmony, I want you to meet Selina and Eric. My two favorite people in this world." He smiled. We shook hands.

  "Please come inside." They followed me to the living room. "Sissy, the tea is getting cold." She said before covering her mouth. "hi people I don't know." She looked up at them and waved. They waved back and Introduced themselves.

  "Since you couldn't go and have lunch with us, we brought lunch here." Selina said. Minutes later some people came inside and started to place lots of food on the table.

  "Whoa baby, so much food,” Emma said excitedly. We just chuckled. Dad came out of his room and saw the food on the table. "Is it Christmas already?" Dad is something else. They introduced themselves. Then we went to the table to eat. “Yummy, yummy in my tummy,” Emma started to sing. We laughed.

  "I'm glad my grandson has someone such as someone like you by his side and you're a brave girl if you dealt with my daughter and her husband for a whole year." Eric said before drinking his juice.

  "As long as I made money for my sister's surgery. It was worth it. But your amazing grandson ended up paying for everything. I kept insisting to let me pay back, but he didn't."

  "We all need help, I just wanted to make you happy. You can repay me by using all the money you earned, for college. Study what you want." Shawn said before placing a soft kiss on my lips. I couldn't help but smile. "I like her, don't screw this or I will feed you to the sharks." Selina said looking to Shawn.

  "I plan on keeping her forever." He winked at me. I blushed. "Sissy is going to marry Shawn and have lots and lots of babies." She said causing us to choke on our food. I swear she's something else. After lunch. His grandparents stayed inside playing with Emma and talking to dad. I was on the porch with Shawn.

  "I thought you were gonna get mad cause I canceled plans."

  "Never, I know how important your time with Emma is. And once she's completely healed, we're taking her to the carnival." He smiled. "You're amazing." I gave him a kiss.

  It was almost six pm, so we said goodbye to them. They decided to stay for dinner with and get to know dad and Emma. Once we made it to the carnival, we saw Victoria and Trisha. Donna said she didn't feel like coming.

  "It's been years since we last came." Victoria said while looking at the carnival. She was excited. We split up and said we would meet in two hours. "All right, let's start with the rides," he suggested. "All right, you can hold my hand if you're scared." I replied and he just rolled his eyes.

  "Rolling eyes is bad for the soul. Hope you know that." I said while walking away. "I'll show you bad for the soul." I heard him say and before I knew it, he shoved me over his shoulder. People were staring at us. We didn't care. We were having fun. After riding a few rides. We went to sit down and rest. We saw Victoria and Trisha from afar having fun. Leaving the mansion of hell was the best they could do, They're both more loose and happy. I rested my head on his shoulder as he interlaced our fingers. "I'm having fun, thanks for this idea of coming here." He said before he placed a soft kiss on my lips.

  "Welcome. Figured you needed a little fun other than studying. And playing tea party." I said causing him to laugh. "You and Emma are the only ones I’ll play tea party for." He smiled.

  "What if you have a daughter in the future?" I added. "I'll play for her too." He smiled.

  "That's very sweet,” I complimented him as I caressed his face. "Love birds, who's ready for some greasy food." Trisha said. "I am. I'm starving." I replied. We went for some food and dessert. After dinner we went to the mini games.

  "Third time is a charm." He said while throwing the ball. "Ha! I did it." He jumped in his spot. I couldn't help but laugh. He was like a little kid and I truly enjoyed seeing this side of him.

  He won me a huge teddy bear, and he played again to win one for Emma. The things he do. He was perfect in every way. I went to put the two huge teddy bears in his car. Emma will go banana later. We got inside the Ferris wheel and it went to the top and stopped. Soon the firework show started. He was like a little kid with his face on the window looking at the fireworks. I couldn't help but chuckle. I rested my head on his chest and wrapped my arms around his waist. He wrapped his arms around me and we enjoyed the show.

  "This has been a great day. Especially since I have this beautiful girl next to me." He pulled me into a deep and meaningful kiss. After our time at the carnival we went to the parking lot and got inside his car. I was really tired. I couldn't wait to get home and sleep. But nothing prepared me for what was coming.

  Chapter 14

  Fire

  As soon as we arrived we kissed goodnight and I went inside the house.

  "Munchkin, dad? I'm home." I said while walking to the living room. I checked the rooms and no sign of them. They must be at aunt Cheryl's.

  "I forgot the teddy bears." I sent Shawn a text about it. He replied and told me he would put them in the guest room till tomorrow. I went to my room and called dad. And indeed they were at aunt Cheryl's house. At least I know they're safe. I always worry when I come home and don't see them. I got changed and as soon as my head touched the pillow I was out.

  The next morning

  I did my daily routine and grabbed breakfast. Minutes later aunt Cheryl came to take care of Emma. I went to take the bus. Thirty minutes later I arrived. Well, the bus always leaves me two blocks away from school. As I was walking I felt someone grabbing me by the shirt and before I knew it, they punched me really hard.

  "Stop it." I sobbed.

  "That's your first warning for being with Shawn, you won't like the second warning. End things with him or you'll face hell." They said before leaving. I knew those voices. I got up and started to walk to school. Though going home sounds better. I was very tired. They beat me really hard. As I was walking my eyes started to close, everything went black after that.

  Two hours later

  I woke up with so much pain. My head was pounding. I looked to my left and Shawn was on the couch reading. Tears started to fall remembering what went down. "Hey beautiful,” he greeted me while walking towards me and grabbed my hand. “S-Shawn," I sobbed. "I'm here, no one is going to hurt you." He caressed my face lightly.

  "Why did this happen to me? I'm a good person." I cried. He sat next to me and wrapped his arms around me lightly. "You deserve the best, baby girl. When I find the responsible for this, they're gonna wish they never put their hands on you."

  "I actually know the responsible for this." I replied while wiping my tears.

  "Who?"

  "It was L
aura and her brother." I answered. "Well, those two are gonna hear me. They wont get away with this." He said with anger.

  "She told me to stay away from you, or I will face hell, I hope she doesn't mess with my dad and Emma. Or the one facing hell with be them. And I don't want to stay away from you. You're not leaving me right?" I sobbed.

  "I'm not, those two will hear me soon. But for now I'll stay with you till you're better." He smiled. I gave him a faint smile. "Where's dad and Emma at? And who found me?"

  "Donna found you and brought you here. She called your dad and he let me know what happened. He's right now with Emma, they're doing her a check up. And Donna has sent you tons of text, but she doesn't like the smell of hospital so she flee." He explained. "Yeah, Donna hates hospitals with a passion. I'll call her later."

  "Victoria and Trisha came to visit and left you sunflowers with a get well card." He said while pointing at the vase on my right side. "I'll call later to thank them. Did I broke any rib, nose?"

  "Nothing, they just left you with lots of bruises but nothing broken.”

  “Why do I feel stitches on my belly?" I removed my hospital gown leaving me in just a bra and panties. Indeed I had stitches there, fucking twits cut me. "Uhm, would you mind putting it back." He said and I gave him a look. "Really?"

  "For one, you have a gorgeous body, and you being in those two things is killing me." He sighed. I put on the gown again and went to lay back on the bed. "You're something else." I chuckled. "but right now there's nothing gorgeous about me."

  "Sure there is, even with bruises and stitches, you're still the most gorgeous girl I've ever laid my eyes on." He replied before placing a soft kiss on my lips. "And I'm lucky that I get to hug you, kiss you and many other things in the future." He smiled making me smile.

  Dad and Emma came back, she was doing really good. They told me I could leave the hospital today since there wasn't anything broken. The doctor gave dad a prescription for my cut. Once everything was ready we left the hospital. Shawn drove me home. Except we came back to no house. We got out of the car fast and the house was in flames. The firemen were putting it out, but it was too late.
