Twisted Tales of Mayhem

"Yeah." I leave out the part that I've seen too many people die. Taking the last pull from my beer, I turn to her. "Where do you see yourself in ten years?"

"Don't," She whispers and brushes past me into my pop's room.

I stomp in after her. "Just answer the question." My pleading gaze bores into hers from opposite sides of Pop’s bed. "Do you really see yourself happy with him? Kids? A dog? A white picket fence? Can you honestly tell me that you can be happy with someone you don't really love?"

Tears pool in her eyes. "I have to."

I shift to the other side and take her hands in mine. "Why? Why do you have to? Come with me, Jani! When I leave, come with me. I know better than to think of a future, but if I got one, you are the only person I could ever see spending it with."

Tears spill down her cheeks, and she lightly laughs. "To where? Where have you been all this time?"

"Kansas. I've made a life there. I have my MC."

"A motorcycle club? You want me to follow you to a bunch of bikers to live a dangerous life? What kind of life is that?" She jerks her hands from mine and spins to face the wall, but I whirl her back around so she can’t hide from me.

I cup her cheeks. "It's a family. They’re my brothers. We protect what is ours."

She shakes her head. "I can't! The wedding is in three days! I can't simply call it off."

I pull her into my chest and press my lips to the crown of her head as I whisper, "Yeah, you can. You love me, Jani, not him. Be with me."

"Wade." Something in her tone causes me to freeze.

Glancing down at Pop, I wait for his chest to move, but it doesn't. "Pop?" Tears spring into my eyes. "He's gone? Pop?” I release her and lower my head onto his unmoving chest as the tears begin to cascade down my face.

Her hand lays flat on my back. "I'm sorry, Wade. I'll call the ambulance." Her voice is wobbly, and I’m certain her own tears are being shed. January Evans was always the daughter he never had.

Pop had everything setup, and everyone knew his wishes to be cremated and have his ashes spread at the one place he loved the most in this small town, Joe’s Tavern. Fletcher refused to do this with me, and that’s why January, Joe, patrons of the bar, and I stand behind the bar with beer bottles raised regardless of my brother’s absence. “To Pop. You were the best father I could have ever asked for. You were a kind soul, and everyone loved you. I hope you found Momma, and you are both free, happy and flying high. Rest in peace. Until I see you again.” I take the last pull from my beer and pass the bottle to January. Opening the container I had been holding in my other hand just as the wind picks up, we look on as his ashes begin to evaporate into the air, watching them float away until nothing is left. And afterward, with heads hung low, everyone silently and respectfully disappears, going their separate ways. I straddle my Harley, and as I ride through town, I memorize every detail as I prepare to leave for the final time. There will never be another reason for me to return.

Entering the house, I glance around the space. It was quiet before, but it never felt lonely until now. When he was still here, even just lying there, you could still feel his presence, but no more. He’s really gone.

My footfalls pick up speed as I rush to my room. I need to get away from here. Too many emotions are running rampant through me, and I can’t fucking deal with it all. Losing Pop, January marrying Fletcher tomorrow…I can't fucking stay and play witness to her to ruining her fucking life.

Pulling my duffle bag out of the closet, I begin throwing my shit inside.

"Going somewhere?" Her voice startles me.

Stopping, I spin around to face her. "What're you doin' here?"

Her lips lift into a smile. "The wedding's off. I can't go through with it."

Quickly striding toward her, I run my fingers through her hair and grab a fistful. "You called it off?"

  She nods. "Yes."

My lips slam against hers for a moment before I rest my forehead against hers. I cup her cheeks with both my hands. "Are you sure you want this? Want me?"

"I'm sure, Wade. It should have always been you. I picked your brother because he was safe, but you were right, I don't love him. You're the one I've always loved."

"I love you too, Jani." My lips press against hers once more. Our kiss deepens as my tongue slides along hers. Moving her backward until we reach the bed, she sits, and I lay her down with my body hovering over hers. Pulling back slightly, my eyes search her beautiful brown orbs.

"You always made me feel beautiful when you look at me like that," she admitted softly.

My brows furrow. "You've always been beautiful."

"But you were the only one that made me believe it." My gut twists discovering my brother never showed her or allowed her to see her worth. Even when I was around, he never treated her the way she deserved.

"I promise you, Jani, you will never go a day without knowing how fucking incredible you are." Sitting up, I tug on her button-up blouse ripping it wide open and letting the buttons fly around us.

She pushes on my chest, and we roll on the bed as she straddles my waist. Removing her ruined blouse, January throws it across the room. My hand lifts, fingers trailing from the flesh on the back of her neck, slowly down to the strap of her bra. Lifting myself toward her, I snake one arm around her back as I press my lips to her collarbone. Pushing the strap down her arm, my mouth follows suit. And then I move to her other side, repeating my actions. Finally, I unhook her bra, allowing it to fall from her body, and it joins her blouse on the carpeted floor.

Her lips descend on mine while her hands slide my cut from my shoulders and down my arms. Taking it from her, I gently lay it across the nightstand. She pulls at the hem of my t-shirt until I lift my arms, breaking our kiss long enough for the material to be removed. Yanking her closer, flesh to flesh, her nipples tighten impossibly harder against my toned chest. Our tongues duel in a fight for control for a moment until I break away only to move my mouth to the crook of her neck. Her head flies back as I pepper kisses down her throat and chest until I reach one of her hardened rosy peaks. Twirling my tongue around her bud, I suck it into my mouth and gently bite the flesh in the way I remember she likes. Her heavy breathing and hands fisting my hair tell me I'm spot on. Traveling to her other nipple, I work it over the same way, and when I release it with a pop, she scurries off of me and the bed.

She stands there, her eyes filled with desire as she stares at me, and for a second, I’m frozen, wondering if she’s second-guessing this…me. My silent question is answered as she begins to undo her slacks and works them down her thick thighs, and once they pool around her ankles, she steps out of them. I’m thawed from the fear which momentarily consumed me the second her hooded eyes meet mine and she bites down on her bottom lip.

Scrambling, I undo my jeans and remove them along with my boxer briefs until I’m sitting on my old bed completely bare, and my cock is jutting out from being so fucking hard. I let her gaze explore every part of my body as I do hers. “C’mere,” I say softly, crooking my finger at her.

She shifts between my legs, and my thumbs hook on the thin strap of her thong. One firm yank and I rip them from her body. I press my lips to her rounded belly while my hands grip her voluptuous ass cheeks. I kiss the skin along her hip before lying back on the bed. “Bring that sweet pussy up here.”

She straddles my waist and begins moving higher and higher until she’s right where I want her. However, before I have a chance to get my first taste, she flips around and finally settles herself. Wrapping my arms around her thighs I part her lips and slowly drag my tongue through her slit. “Wade!” She mewls.

Precum beads on the tip of my cock. I’m fucking ready to be inside of her, but I’m no selfish lover. I’ll make her fucking scream before I worry about myself.

The tip of her tongue touches the head of my cock and my hips jerk, and I’m gritting my teeth as she takes me into her hot, wet mouth. I have to hold myself back from the
intense rush of pleasure that shoots through my body in order to focus on her and the pleasure I long to draw from her. Stroking my tongue through her pussy once more, I find her clit and begin my assault, alternating between slow, small circles and hard, fast flicks. Her cries become louder and louder as her mouth moves up and down my long, thick length. “Fuck!” I call out when she sucks me in completely down her tight throat. My approval makes her work all the more while I continue edging her near the release her body craves.

Her pelvis moves forward and back against my face the closer she gets. Her legs spread wider, and her sounds fill the quiet room. My cock falls from her lips as she holds herself up and her head tips back. Her long chestnut hair touches the top of her ass–it’s fucking sexy. She’s fucking sexy. “Wade!” She screams as her nails dig into my thighs and her hips gyrate faster as her body shakes, and finally, that first burst of her sweet flavor explodes on my taste buds. I continue lapping at her until her orgasm has completely ridden through her and ended.

Quickly turning herself around, January once again straddles my waist. With one hand, she grips my dick as she lines it up to her opening. Slowly, she pushes herself down until I'm seated deep inside her. She begins moving in a slow steady rhythm, but once she adjusts to my size, her pace increases.

Cupping her tits, I massage her flesh and watch how her lust-filled eyes flutter with her long black lashes, and the way her plump pouty lips part as her excited moans flow from her.

“You feel so fucking good,” I groan and can’t stop my own eyes from closing. The intensity of emotions and feelings that are surging through me is almost too much to bear.

“You too. It’s amazing,” She purrs.

Her walls clench around my rod, tightening even more. I push myself up and with one hand, I reach around gripping the nape of her neck. Bringing her lips to mine, I grunt, my own release is approaching quickly. “You’re close. I feel how you’re squeezing me,” I whisper against her lips. “Come with me.” Her glazed eyes meet mine. We stare at one another as our orgasms start to consume us, climaxing together, our lips meeting while our sounds blend as one.

Her head falls to my shoulder as she clings to me breathlessly, completely sated. Holding her as tight as I can while running my hands up and down her back, I attempt to catch my own breath. “I love you, Jani.”

“I love you too,” She mumbles happily.

She sits back, but I’m still sheathed inside her, neither of us wishing to break our connection. "So Kansas, huh?"

  Smirking, I reply, "Yeah."

  "Where will I work?"

My fingers twirl around strands of her soft hair. "One of the ol' ladies is a doctor, I'm sure she could get you on at the hospital."

Her brows pull down tight. "Ol' ladies?"

"Yeah, it's what we call the wives and claimed women of my club brothers. Once we get home, I'll introduce you and get Chatty to get your cut."

  "My cut?"

I chuckle at her because of her bewildered expression, she seems so perplexed. Granted, bikers pass through Millwood and stop at Joe’s, but that was never January’s scene. She always wanted to be the good girl and stay out of trouble, whereas I was the opposite, I went looking for the trouble. "Yeah, it's a vest that you'll wear at all times. It'll say Property of Drifter so everyone knows you aren't to be touched."

  "Drifter? That's your name?"

  "Yeah."

She shakes her head and grins. "I have a lot to learn about this new life of yours."

I kiss her forehead. "It's okay. Everyone will help you get used to it. You'll like it there. Do you need to get anything before we head out?"

"No. I have a secret stash of money here, and everything else I can get over time. I don't wanna go back and see him."

"I get it. We better get up and get going then." We finally break our connection and stroll over to the bathroom to clean up.

Returning to the bedroom, I pull a clean shirt out of my duffle bag and hand it to her, and right before we are about to leave, she goes to her hiding spot, shoving a wad of money into her purse. We have everything we need and step outside hand in hand just as the sun is setting. Standing next to my Harley, I give her my helmet and help her put it on. I straddle my bike, and she climbs on behind me. "Hold on tight, darlin’."

My bike comes to life as the vibration rumbles through us. She squeezes my waist tighter, and I laugh before pulling out of Pop's driveway. Heading for the highway, neither of us looks back as we leave our old lives in the dust and race toward our new beginning together. The girl I always wanted, the woman I always loved but could never have, is now mine. I don’t think life could get better than right now, at this moment, and I don’t have an ounce of regret.

  Chapter One

  AERO

The cold metal of my gun presses firm against my palm, the hard texture reminding me we have a job to do. My heart is pounding in my chest as we approach the door. This should be a simple pay and go, but with the Mortem Crew on the other side of that door, any-fucking-thing is possible.

A few of my brothers are with me when doing this type of business. There’s enough of us to cover our asses if shit turns south. Dealing with the local street gang should be easy pickings for a one-percenter motorcycle club like the Notorious Knights, but the Mortem Crew aren’t your typical street gang—they’re harder, fiercer, lethal. We have to be on our guard, so that’s why there’s enough of us here to watch each other’s backs.

As we stealthily race through the halls of a fucking hotel, five brothers should draw attention—if anyone were to look—but we managed to come in the back entrance undetected. We’re fucking ace like that.

Crest, my president looks to me signaling to room 665. Shaking my head, I smirk. I know the Mortem Crew would have gone for 666, but this hotel purposely doesn’t have a room with that number. I wonder why?

I signal to Grim, our Sergeant at Arms, who’s carrying the two large duffle bags full of ecstasy. He steps up to the door as we all raise our guns ready. We don’t know what we could be walking into, but we need to get the fuck out of this goddamn hallway.

Grim softly raps on the door. My stomach swirls in anticipation of what’s to come. A bead of sweat rolls down my temple as the door slowly creaks open. Isaac, Mortem’s lackey, pops his head through the door spotting us. His eyes harden as he takes us in, his black hair flopping onto his face while his lip turns up in obvious mutual disdain. With force, he yanks the door open, and before we know it, a mass of Mortem assholes rush the hall from behind us. We all fight as they grab a hold, pushing us all inside the room and slamming the door behind us.

As I push the motherfucker off me, I draw my gun pointing it at his head as do all my brothers, aiming at the fuckers who dragged them in. They don’t hesitate to retaliate as they pull out their weapons aiming right back at us. Tension is so thick you can cut it with a knife. My heart pummels in my chest. Shit with the Mortems always go this way—they push, we pull.

  It’s always a fight.

  No one ever wins.

Why we keep dealing with them is beyond me.

But it’s Crest’s call, our President. I’m the VP, so even though my voice is heard, I don’t get final say.

“Enough! Put your fucking guns away, boys. We have business to do,” Henderson grunts stepping forward into the room from the bathroom while brushing away the white powder from under his nose. His bare chest covered in black and gray tattoos does nothing but make me want to put a few bullet holes in him to see some damn color blossom on his skin. His tatty brown beard makes him look more scruffy than good-looking, an edge most of us more sinful guys have nowadays on the streets of Grand Rapids, Michigan.

Crest steps forward aiming his gun right at a
n unarmed Henderson. “I don’t see your men stowing theirs.”

Henderson chuckles flopping down onto the king-sized bed as he waves his hand through the air. “Drop ‘em, boys.”

Instantly, the assholes lower their guns, all five men sneering, sounding like they’re growling at the rest of us.

  Fucking freaks.

Crest signals for us to lower our weapons too.

Gritting my teeth, I drop my gun, but I don’t holster it. I’m not stupid. “So, can we get this fucking shit over with?” I can’t help but blurt out.

Crest scowls as Henderson sits up looking directly at me tutting his tongue to the roof of his mouth. “Ever the impatient one, Aero. For a vice president, you really need to learn some manners.”

I scoff out a laugh. “Here’s some fucking manners for you,” I snap, flipping him the motherfucking bird.

He smiles, but I can tell it’s forced as Crest shakes his head in disapproval. Henderson stands up and then walks over to Grim looking him up and down. “It all here?”

“Have we ever shortchanged you?” I spit out annoyed.

“No, never, but you’ve also never come in with such a temper before. Someone dump you, Aero?” Henderson mocks. I step forward, but Crest places his hand on my chest to hold me back.

Henderson’s eyes alight. “Oh, I see.” He looks to Crest. “I heard your daughter, the club princess, is no longer in town. Gone to another club in Chicago… Defiance was it? So, I sense poor Aero is missing little Miss Mylee—”

I race forward out of Crest’s grip, lunging for Henderson, but Isaac pulls him back as Dux and Motely grab either side of me while I struggle to get to Henderson. “Fuck you, you fucking piece of shit. You don’t have any right to look into the club or what’s going on with us!”

“Aero, ease up. Mylee’s been gone for a while now, it’s common knowledge. Can we get the fuck on with this deal, I want out of here,” Crest berates, as Dux and Motely both turn to look at me to assess whether I’m a flight risk.
