“I love you, too, Cole.”
He grinned and said, “You know, we never talked about this. Are we going to take each other’s names, and if so, does that make us Cole and River Flynn-Hernandez-Ealy?”
“What do you think about me taking your name instead? I like the sound of Cole and River Ealy, and that way your dad’s name lives on with both of us.”
Cole’s voice shook with emotion as he whispered, “Thank you, River.”
He kissed me again, and I smiled at him and said, “You know what we should do?”
“What?”
“Catch that perfect wave that’s about to roll in. We can do it if we both paddle like crazy, right now.” He smiled at me, and we both shifted quickly on the board.
Cole and I paddled in perfect unison, staying ahead of the swell. I jumped up first and found my balance just as the wave started to break. A moment later, Cole leapt to his feet and stuck his arms out. I wrapped my hands around my husband’s waist, and both of us whooped with pure happiness as the ocean drove us forward.

The Dombruso Family:
Sicilian-American family with roots in organized crime
Dante, Vincent, Gianni and Mike Dombruso (in order from oldest to youngest) are brothers.
They were raised by their grandmother, Stana Dombruso (Nana), after their parents were killed.
Nana is married to Ollie.
Nana and Ollie are looking after several teens, including Jayden and Joely, who are brothers, and Lucy and Emmet.
Dante is married to Charlie.
Vincent's husband is Trevor.
Josh is Vincent and Trevor's adopted son; they also have twin babies.
Josh is dating Darwin.
Gianni is dating Zan Tillane.
Mike is dating a woman named Marie. He’s a widower with three sons.
Nana also had three sons: Paulie, Alberto and a third I have yet to name.
Paulie was Dante, Vincent, Gianni and Mike's dad. He was killed when they were little.
Alberto is Nico and Constantino's father. They also have a sister.
Nana's third son was married twice and had several children, including Jerry and Carla.
Jessie worked for Nana as a chauffeur/assistant. She considers him family.
The Nolan Family:
Irish-American family, some of whom are in law enforcement
Kieran and Brian Nolan are brothers.
Shea and Finn Nolan are brothers (Kieran and Brian are their cousins).
Jamie Nolan is also their cousin.
Jamie is married to Dmitri Teplov. They have a young daughter, Lily.
Catherine is Dmitri’s cousin.
