Although Brin seems the happy prankster, he wore a mask that his childhood trauma hid behind. Understand that sometimes the happiest people are those who have been through the most unimaginable things. We know that him being sterilized may have been hard to accept, but this gives Brin the freedom to love their child without the despair of knowing his mother has another thing to hold over him. To him, it takes away that fear that he will be his parents and continue the cycle.
Nuzal falls for the very subjects he was meant to ruin. It was fun to write a male who had never known affection, someone who didn’t know what it was like to have someone care about him or how to care about others. We enjoyed watching as he loses control to his baser instincts and accepts that his mates want him to dominate. To finally see him be able to love himself the way his mates freely do was touching.
As always, you may notice some unanswered threads or hints at future novels. We like to consider these easter eggs for what is to come. We hope you’re able to give Esme the benefit of the doubt. Our girl is a fear biter. One of those dogs who have been abused and bite when they are scared. We can’t wait to delve into her story and show you why she acted the way she did.

About the Authors
Born in the Sunshine State, Hayley Benitez and Amanda Crawford are cousins who have come together to write under the name Octavia Kore. Both women share a love for reading, a passion for writing, and the inclination toward word vomiting when meeting new people.
