The silver grey Aston slid in through the magnificent wrought iron gates sideways and slithered to an abrupt halt, tyres racing for traction on the neatly raked gravel, spewing out bits of grit and shale in an almost perfect arc. Crystal flicked the switch on the dash and the retractable roof of the Aston began to sweep effortlessly into place. She reluctantly ceased bopping along to the music and turned down the volume on the stereo, squaring her shoulders as she automatically checked her reflection in the rear view mirror and reached over to pick up her bag.
Crystal has a wedding to plan; not a big, showbiz, glitzy corporate wedding, but a small intimate family affair, full of rustic charm and pure country appeal. Whilst she dreams of marrying long-time lover Jazz, she’s kept busy trying to avoid his pampered and immeasurably prissy sister Imogen.
When she discovers some love-letters hidden amongst some of Jazz’s possessions, she reacts quite badly and takes on a dangerous liaison of her own. With an ex-lover, a current distraction, and an old adversary all vying for attention, she has her hands full trying to work out where her priorities lay. Will Crystal succumb to temptation and revert to her wild-child hell-raising youth, or will she emerge as an equal partner, sleek and composed and ready to take her place beside Jazz as a corporate wife, in the high-tech world of the concrete jungle?
