The Runner

Trapped in an endless circle of repetition, the protagonist of this short story is caught in the middle of his own personal hell. Each revolution of the circle brings the runner clearer into the picture each time, climaxing in the crystal clear view of the horrid monster that haunts him. And just when he believes all will finally come to an end, we find that he will never leave.The protagonist, stuck in the never-ending loop of his own insanity, is tortured from within. And as the fear within him grows, his insides are torn to pieces at the ever-increasing realization that he is trapped forever in his own tortured soul.
