Forgotten
by Jennifer Sucevic
As the boy in the woods gently slips his hands over my eyes, recognition, sharp and stunning, slides through me until I’m transported back to… back to… Before I’m fully able to grasp hold of the memory, it disappears like a thin wisp of smoke through my fingers. Just as he has. The staggering sense of loss that I’m left with in his absence is enough to convince me that finding him isn’t a choice.
