Blazed: Elemental Warriors
by Ashley West
When a freak accident sends Samel, one of the best the Warriors of Fire have to offer, careening on a collision course to Earth, everything changes. He’s injured, he can’t remember who he is or how he got there, and for some reason he keeps shooting fire out of his hands.
It’s a lot to be getting on with, honestly, and he wanders around, lost and confused until he sees a woman, cornered and being harassed by a group of dangerous looking creatures that strike an odd note in his lost memory. Samel doesn’t know why, but he knows he has to save the woman, so he does. Out of gratitude, she takes pity on him and brings him home with her.
Her name is Naomi, and it turns out that she runs a boarding house for other people who have lost their way. Samel gets a room of his own and he figures that as long as he doesn’t set anything on fire, he’ll be allowed to stay.
But of course, his people are looking for him, and they aren’t the only ones, and when he’s found by someone who clearly knows who he is, though he has no memory of her, Samel will have to choose between who he used to be and who he has become and try to save his people in the meantime.
