The Wronged Princess - Book I
by Kae Elle Wheeler
Even when Cinderella loses her glass slipper, she feels quite smug when Prince Charming announces to his kingdom, he'll try the shoe on every maiden until he finds his mysterious princess. Unfortunately, it slides just as easily on her sister, Esmeralda's dainty foot.ReviewThe Wronged Princess is probably one of the most charming adaptations for Cinderella that I've seen.I know I should like the hero & heroine best, but I have to say my favorite characters are the queen & fairy godmother. The interaction between the two is hilarious, not to mention the sly humor that is sprinkled throughout the book...Not to say that Cinderella & Prince Charming aren't great characters--it's a delicious treat to see them tossed into circumstances beyond their control (& funny, too!), and I like their character arc/growth. I don't want to give away any spoilers, but this book is definitely worth reading--I think readers will enjoy Wheeler's interpretation of the stepsisters & the family dynamic. The Wronged Princess is a perfect read for a lazy afternoon full of tea & cookies, and laying about in your pjs.
