Dragon Magic: Book 3: Prophecy of the Dragons
by E. J. Krause
The successful mission to save the multiverse from the Nightmare Syndicate should have been something for Dragon Guard Ben and Dragon Andi to celebrate, but the victory took a terrible toll. The Dragon Council decided it best to separate the two, a fate worse than death thanks to the magic binding together their souls. The only good to come from it is that Ben can focus on controlling his magic rather than simply hoping it works when he needs it. His new teacher, Felix, helps him to the brink of becoming a master in only three months.
Things don't get much better when Ben and Andi reunite. Something is wrong with one of them, but they can't agree on whom. They're both convinced the other is dragging them towards the evil fork in the prophecy, and they love each other too much to not follow. Unless they can figure out who is manipulating them, they'll never get any peace.
It's all enough to make Ben long for the days when unfinished Math homework was his biggest problem.
