It has passion, deceit, arranged marriage and unexpected pregnancy. All great things in any romance. However, this one has more twists and turns than you could ever expect; all totake care of the clan. Claire is a modern woman who ends up in the dark ages. Her strength quickly comes across and you know she won't be apush over. Ian isn't as easy to read. His heart is torn between hisclan and Claire. Each understands duty and that understanding will mean heartbreak. This story is broke down into three sections. Each flowsinto the next but they also mark a change within the story. This alsomeans these are great places to take a break, if you can put this bookdown. While I was expecting to have the normal shock of time travel and the disbelief that normally occurs, I was pleasantly surprised on howthis book dealt with it. Apparently there was someone earlier who camefrom the future and the stories are still passed down within the clan.Nice twist and one I wasn't expecting but now it has me wondering ifthere is an earlier book about this clan. This is a fantastic story and I really enjoyed it.
