CRUDDY

'Cruddy' is a tale of poverty, violence, drugs and suicidal instincts, all chasing each other in Roberta Rohbeson's life. At the age of eleven, Roberta witnesses her alcoholic father's brutal, murderous instincts, when she is on an enforced trip with him. She had been found walking around the boiling Nevada desert­unhurt, but covered in blood. Roberta never uttered a single word of what happened until five years later, when under the influence of drugs and new-found friends, she leaks out the terrible truth­the blood came from her father's slit windpipe­and she was the one to slit it.
