Kathleen McCreadie leaves her home in England for a small town in South Carolina, the hometown of her new husband Bob Conroy, an American soldier. When she arrives, Kathleen is made aware of the cold war paranoia sweeping the United States and the attitudes in her husband’s town located in the heart of the Bible Belt.Then she uncovers a Conroy family secret that makes her fear for her life. At this critical time, her first love mysteriously appears on the scene.
