There's Adam Buchanan, who proves himself to be a good friend to Liz, and then there's Glasgow-Italian Mario Rossi, with his continental charm and his dazzling smile. When Mario is interned as an enemy alien, it's Adam that Liz turns to for support.With Adam, she experiences the terror of the Clydebank Blitz and the other tragedies of war. Then Adam takes himself off to war and Mario comes home. Will he and Liz pick up where they left off or is there a different decision to be made?
