  They have a first death when their living flesh dies, and they truly become the living dead. This is known as the Change

  After they go through their Change, they periodically will experience a bloodlust state. When this happens, they normally go in large hordes and attack humans. This is why humans and Zombies are at odds, and Shamar and Alphonse’s friendship is so strange
