Harper passes me the box as she comes to lie on her side, but I think the real gift may just be the way her pert breasts merge together in her lingerie number as she lies sideways. But still, a gift is a gift, and I pull the ribbon.
“What is this?” I ask, very curious.
“Something for our marriage.” She doesn’t blink and seems satisfied with herself.
My hands remove the top of the box to find probably the second greatest gift after Harper becoming my wife and right ahead of the image I branded in my head 0.40 seconds ago.
My finger dangles the handcuffs that were in the box. Seems like they’re a sturdy pair ready for us. But when I see the engraving, then I know that this woman gets me. Our names and wedding date.
“For when I want to get crazy with you,” she grins.
“Harper, I’m always crazy with you. I don’t need handcuffs for that, but we will use them.” I dive in to capture her mouth and kiss her fiercely.
