A moment later I have my jacket on, a helmet in place and secure, and I’m pressed to Reece’s hard back. My thighs squeeze him on either side, and my arms are wrapped tightly around his waist. Hard to believe, but his is the first bike I’ve ever been on.

“Wait, where’s your cut?” I ask in concern.

“We’re running late and have a hike ahead of us, so hold on tight,” Reece warns before he cranks the engine and takes off, avoiding my question.

The air is a little chilly at such high rates of speed, but it’s still a beautiful afternoon. I have no idea where we’re going, not even when Reece pulls into the old national park.

He backs his bike into a spot in the empty parking lot and then climbs off. “Let’s go,” Reece says. He places his helmet on one of the handlebars and then holds out his palm to me.

“Where are we going?” I ask as I glance around the deserted park. “Isn’t the park closed this time of year?”

  “Yes.”

  “Then what…”

“We have to hurry,” he says, removing my helmet with impatient hands and then tugging gently on the belt loop on my jeans to get me moving. Rather than head toward the beach, he strides across the grassy meadow toward the old, rundown lighthouse.

“Ah, Reece?” I ask as I struggle to keep up with his pace. “The lighthouse has been out of commission since before I moved to town.”

“Technically,” he responds over his shoulder.

“Um, I’m thinking there’s probably a good reason they don’t allow visitors, like it’s unsafe to climb.”

“It’s safe,” he tells me. “Miles and I went over every inch of it earlier today, fixing fifty-one of the two-hundred and sixty-four steps.”

  “What?” I ask in confusion.

  “I’ll explain later.”

“You’re not seriously going in there, are you?”

“Yep. And you’re coming with me,” he responds.

“Sorry, Reece but there’s no way I’m gonna be involved in the B&E of an old, historic landmark. Especially one that’s been closed for years and is liable to crumble any second.”

  “Wanna bet?” he asks.

I don’t get a chance to respond before he picks me up…and tosses me over his shoulder like a sack of potatoes. “Reece!” I exclaim in surprise. “Reece, put me down. We shouldn’t go inside that ancient artifact unless we want to fall to our deaths. Besides, you can’t possibly carry me up all two-hundred and whatever steps!”

“You may want to quit squirming unless you want me to drop you on your head,” he warns as he pushes through the heavy door and into the dark, dusty building.

  Oh god, he’s serious.

He starts up the rickety spiral staircase that seems to go up to the sky forever. Despite being upside down, I can still read all the reflective orange signs in the dimness that state, “DANGER! NO ENTRY! TRESPASSERS WILL BE PROSECUTED!”

Reece makes it about thirty steps before he lowers me to my feet at a small landing, breathing heavy.

“I have to admit, that’s about thirty more steps than I expected you to be able to make carrying me,” I tell him.

“I’m just…taking…a short…break…to catch…my breath,” he responds between pants with his hands braced on his hips.

“Give it up, buddy. You’re never gonna get me to the top,” I tell him.

“You’re going to the top even if I have to drag you,” he says when he starts to reach for me again.

“Why are you so adamant about this?” I ask.

“Because the view is worth the hike, and I can promise you that the steps are now as sturdy as they can get.”

  “You’re sure?”

“Yes. Trust me. Please?” he asks sincerely, and I of course cave.

  “Okay,” I agree.

Glancing at his watch, he curses and says, “Shit. We’ve only got three minutes to get to the top.”

“Why only three minutes?” I ask. “They can’t close up shop on us if it’s never been opened.”

“We have to get moving,” he says before he grabs my hand and jogs up the steps, pulling me behind him on the staircase that appears to get narrower as it goes.

“Jesus! There are…a ton…of steps,” I huff and puff, slowing down as we go higher and higher.

“No shit,” he agrees. “Not much further now. Let’s get to the top, and then we can rest.”

“Okay,” I agree, making the mistake of looking down. We’re a long way up, but Reece seems right. The steps are sturdy thanks to all the fresh wood planks.

Together we trek up the rest of the spiral steps at a slower pace until we finally, thankfully, reach the top.

“We…made…it,” I wheeze as Reece waves for me to go first. I push the door at the top that opens into the cool night air. And damn, the view is definitely worth the burning in my thighs.

“It’s beautiful,” I say in awe, going over to rest my forearms on the railing that faces the endless ocean waves.

“Over here,” Reece says, grabbing my hand and tugging me around the circular balcony to the opposite side. “We’re just in time.”

At first, I don’t see what’s so great about the sound side of the island. But then the sun begins to lower in the sky, casting the most amazing orangish-red glow across the horizon.

“Wow,” I remark just as Reece moves up behind me. He wraps an arm around my waist to hold me close to the front of his body.

“It’s even better than I thought it would be,” he says while reaching up and sweeping the hair back from the right side of my neck. Once it’s out of the way, I feel the light brush of his lips on my skin. “The view of the sunset on the island is almost as stunning as the glow you emit all the time,” he says, lightly kissing my neck again. “You’re breathtakingly beautiful, you know that?”

“Reece,” I say on a gasp that escapes my parted lips after what is no doubt the sweetest compliment I’ve ever been given. It’s even better because it’s coming from a man who I know doesn’t say things he doesn’t mean.

Spinning around in his arms, I need to face him so that I can kiss him to show him how much his words touch me. Wrapping my arms around his neck, I capture his lips and swipe my tongue over his.

Reece growls deep in his throat, and then he’s kissing me back, his thick, strong arms tightening around me, almost crushing me to him, yet still I want him to be closer.

“What can I get away with after only two dates?” he asks against my lips.

“Anything right at this moment,” I tell him honestly.

“I don’t know where to let my hands explore first,” Reece says as his grip on me lessens and his palms move to grasp my hips. “Your gorgeous tits are so damn tempting, but I wouldn’t be able to stop touching them until I have you completely topless.”

“Oh really?” I ask, thinking that topless doesn’t sound all that bad.

“Yeah, I better stick to over the clothes tonight,” he responds, letting his big hands reach around and lower until they’re both cupping my bottom. “Damn that’s a fine ass,” he mutters when he gives it a squeeze, and then his lips are covering mine again, his tongue prodding and possessing.

Reece’s grip on my backside has me rubbing up against the front of him with so much friction our jeans may start a fire. It doesn’t take long before I’m moaning into his mouth thanks to the amazing feeling of the stiff bulge in the front of his jeans stabbing my lower belly. God, he’s big, not just long but obviously as thick as my fist. I’d love to feel his hard, velvety flesh in my hand and run my tongue over every single vein.

Slipping a hand between our bodies, I mold my palm to the outline of his shaft. “I can get on my knees and take care of this for you, if you want…” I offer. He said it’s been a long time since he was with a woman, and I can’t imagine how he’s restrained himself.

“No,” Reece replies without any hesitation. He even takes a step back to separate us and remove my hand from his cock. Before I can be offended
by his rejection, he reaches for my jaw and runs his thumb over my bottom lip. “I want your sexy mouth so fucking much, but not until I earn it.”

“You don’t think you’ve earned it yet?” I ask.

“You want ten dates before you’ll sleep with me? Well, I want to make you come at least ten times before I ask you to wrap these perfect lips around my cock.”

“But why?” I ask. “While I appreciate your thoughtfulness, I happen to really like doing that for men.”

“Yeah, so I’ve heard,” Reece responds with a frown. “And that’s why I don’t want you on your knees for me until you’ve forgotten all those other men you had before me ever existed.”

“Okay,” I agree, understanding his need for me to treat him differently, like he’s…more. “Did you get angry when you heard that?” I ask with concern.

“Yes, because I don’t want to be with a woman who loves sucking cock,” he responds, making me wince. “I want to be with a woman who only loves sucking my cock.”

“Understood,” I reply. “And for the record, I think I will love it based on the length and, ah, girth I’ve felt.”

Cursing under his breath, Reece rubs his hand over the back of his neck and says, “New rule. No talking about it either. If you keep that up, I may cave. And I never concede to anything.”

“Deal,” I say with a smile, relieved that he didn’t use this topic of conversation to put me down or make me feel bad about anything.

  …

  Reece

This woman burns brighter than the sun, and I can’t seem to get enough. Being with Cynthia, getting closer to her, I know I’m risking a miserable, fiery death. But it seems worth it at the moment.

Maybe it’s just been so long since I’ve been burnt that I’ve forgotten how painful it is to endure. Still, I can’t walk away from her, from this, whatever this turns out to be.

When Cynthia turns back around to look at the amazing view of the setting sun over the sound, I’m a little relieved because keeping my hands off of her is nearly impossible.

“I’m glad you brought me up here, even though I was literally kicking and screaming,” she says when I stand beside her, resting my forearms on the railing too.

“You’re welcome,” I reply as I take in the stunning view of mother nature and the beautiful woman drinking her in. “It’s peaceful up here, isn’t it?” I ask. “Being able to see for miles and miles, I feel like the king of the island up here with you.”

“Thanks for sharing your kingdom with me tonight,” Cynthia responds.

“Who knows, I may have to leave the dungeon and make this a regular trip,” I joke.

“I’d be happy to come back with you,” she says, “But what will the MC do without you there, running things from behind the curtain?” she teases.

A boulder settles in my stomach at the mention of my obligations to the club, one that make me feel guilty, like being here with Cynthia is letting my brothers down.

“Eddie’s been covering for me, but that’s something I have to figure out if this lasts more than ten dates,” I explain.

  “If?” she asks.

Flashing her a smirk I say, “It’s just our second one. You’ll probably be sick of me by the fifth.”

  “I doubt that,” she responds.

“Good to know,” I reply. “But I should probably stay in tomorrow night.”

“That’s fine,” Cynthia looks over at me and says with a smile. “Just let me know when you want to see me again and I’ll be there.”

The problem is, I already want to see her all of the time, and even though a video feed isn’t good enough, I guess it’ll have to do for now until I come up with a better solution for monitoring the club’s security.

  Chapter Fourteen

  Cynthia

“Morning,” I say to Vicky when I walk into the store the day after my incredibly romantic date with Reece.

“Good morning,” she responds with a big smile and a sing-song tilt to her voice, way too peppy this morning.

“Who spiked your coffee today?” I joke with her since she’s not usually so upbeat this early.

“No one,” she answers and then pulls out a thin, white bag from under the counter and offers it to me.

  “What’s this?” I ask.

“A gift from your secret Santa,” she responds, still grinning like the cat that ate the canary.

“Oh-kay,” I reply as I sit the bag on the counter and reach inside to pull out a box. It takes me a second to realize what the thin silver photo is depicting on the side of the box. It doesn’t fully register until I see the words. “A MacBook?” I exclaim. “Who –” I start to say but then only one person comes to mind. “Reece?” I ask Vicky.

“I prefer to call him the sexy G.I. Joe,” she says. “But yes, him.”

“Okay, but why? Why would he buy me something so expensive?” I ask aloud. “We’ve only been on two dates and this is a serious gift.”

Vicky clears her throat and then pulls out another bag, this one small and pink, one of the store’s. “He told me to give this one to you last and to ask you if you would wear it while…FaceTiming with him later tonight.”

I reach in the smaller bag and pull out a red Santa bustier with white trim, matching panties and a black garter belt.

“Wow,” is the only word I’m capable of. “We’ve agreed to take things slow, so does that include having phone sex?” I ask Vicky. “That’s obviously what this is for, right?” I ask while still holding up the sexy outfit.

“Sure. There’s nothing wrong with giving the man a little sneak peek, right?” Vicky says. “If anything, it’ll motivate him to stay on course for that ten date rule of yours.”

“You think so?” I ask her.

“Girl, he wants you bad already if he bought you a laptop worth a month of my salary. He’s obviously willing to wait or he wouldn’t have bothered,” she points out. “But he’s probably going to need a little help from you to get through the next few weeks. Wouldn’t you rather him jerk off to you in a Santa nightie than some other woman on film?”

“Do you think he will let me watch him?” I ask with a grin.

“God yes,” Vicky responds with a cackle. “Haven’t you noticed by now? Men just loooove showing off their dicks to women. Lick your lips and tell him it’s huge. You’ll have him coming on screen in seconds!”

“Oh my god,” I mutter with a shake of my head as I stuff the nightie back into the bag. Reece is so uptight that I can’t even imagine him doing such a thing. Although, it’s getting a little easier to imagine after several hot as hell kisses when I felt nearly every inch of him through his jeans…

“So? Are you going to wear it for him?” she asks.

“I’ll think about it,” I tell her. Picking up the box with the laptop and the bag of lingerie to take them to the back, I ask, “How exactly am I supposed to call him on this thing anyway?”

“Oh, he said he would call you,” she responds.

“Of course he will,” I say because the man knows everything.

  …

  Reece

There’s a nervous excitement bubbling up inside of me as I sit in my computer chair and get ready to find out if Cynthia will answer the call on her new laptop. If so, will she be wearing the outfit I picked out?

It was the first time I had ever actually shopped in that type of toy store and I have to admit it was…enlightening. There were things I had never seen before and have no idea if women like. Others I could imagine using on Cynthia.

I click to call her before I lose my nerve, hoping I can talk to her on the screen since I can’t see her in person tonight.

“Hi,” her feminine voice says at the same time her beautiful face fills the screen.

  “Hey.”

“You’re wearing your cut again!” she says.

“Ah, yeah,” I respond, withholding from her the reason Torin took it from me. At least he’s finally forgiven Miles and me, happy with our commu
nity service project since the historic lighthouse will soon be open again to the public and glad that we’re no longer using our fists to communicate.

I lean up in my chair to try and get a better look at what Cynthia has on but it’s impossible to see since the camera is only capturing her from the shoulders up. Her red waves flow over each of them and I wish I could see where they come to a stop on her breasts.

“So, you’re the blocked number that called my phone the night you showed up randomly at my apartment?” Cynthia asks, snapping my attention back to her eyes.

  “Yeah, you didn’t answer.”

Smiling, she says, “I was at work and then Tommy came over. Besides, you didn’t leave a voicemail with a number for me to call back.”

“I could’ve left a message with my number, but I wanted to see you,” I confess.

“Then, you’re right,” she responds with a grin. “I am glad you ran the professor off.”

“I knew you would be one day,” I tell her with a smirk.

“I also appreciate your generous gift, but I wish we were talking in person instead of on here tonight.”

“I do too, but Eddie was busy so he couldn’t keep an eye on the club’s security. And we’re supposed to be getting to know each other. It’s easier to talk to you without the temptation to touch you,” I explain. Of course I still desperately want to touch her; it’s just more difficult to do with her a few miles away.

“Does this count as a date?” she asks, sounding almost hopeful, like she’s just as eager as I am to get to the tenth one.

“We are face to face, so yes, technically it should count as our third date,” I answer. “And if I were there with you like last night, I would want to do more than talk to you.”

It’s hard to tell on the screen but it looks like her ivory cheeks flush red.

“I want to give you more than the physical though, just like you want, so let’s talk.”

“Then fair is fair, mister. You already know most of my deep dark secrets. Now it’s your turn to tell me a few of yours,” she says, propping the side of her face in the palm of her hand, still not giving me a look at her outfit.
