Necessary Pursuit (A Trinity Masters Novel)

“Again,” Luca demanded. “Again, please. Don’t stop!”

He wasn’t sure he could stop. This whole thing was so fucking good, so hot and dirty, that he knew there would be no way of stopping the orgasm that was already making his lower back and balls tight.

Oscar pulled almost all the way out, then thrust in again.

  And again.

He fucked Luca, Luca fucked Selene, and he had a beautiful view of both of them.

“I’m coming,” Selene breathed. “Harder, faster. Make me come.”

Luca took control then, thrusting in and out of her pussy, and with each back thrust, he fucked himself on Oscar’s cock.

Oscar shuddered as the first pulses of the orgasm claimed him, his dick twitching inside Luca. Selene cried out, nails on one hand digging into Luca’s back, the other hand wrapping around Oscar’s wrist as he held Luca.

“Yes, yes!” Luca groaned. For a wonderful moment, he jackhammered in and out of Selene, his ass working Oscar’s cock through the orgasm.

Oscar closed his eyes, arched his back, and groaned in deep pleasure. It wasn’t just the physical, but the emotional affinity. The way they were connected, the way Selene had, in her climax, grabbed both Luca and him.

Oscar’s pleasure was so encompassing and complete that when the orgasm was over, he collapsed forward, lying across Luca for just a moment before he slid to the side, aware that he had been forever changed.

  Chapter Ten

Luca stood in the middle of the kitchen, shirtless, wearing just his pants. He’d only gotten dressed an hour ago even though it was late afternoon.

Luca stared unseeingly out the window above the kitchen sink, his mind playing over everything that had happened last night and today. He’d slept with Oscar and Selene…both of them…at the same time. And it had been incredible. The most perfect night of his life.

They’d all fallen fast asleep last night after—dannazione—after, not stirring until nearly noon when first Oscar, then he, had made love to Selene.

Luca couldn’t wrap his head around how amazing it was to come inside a woman’s body. The slick heat that enveloped and caressed his cock was the greatest physical pleasure he’d ever known. And it had been made even more incredible when Oscar reached between his legs as Luca fucked her, cupping and squeezing his balls until his eyes rolled back in his head and he dove headfirst off the cliff, his climax so powerful, he could still feel the effects of it now.

A large part of him wondered if he’d actually died in that safe house and, by some miracle, made it into a Heaven he’d stopped believing in long ago. It was the only way he could believe the past twelve hours were real.

Selene was the one who’d insisted they needed to rise. For one thing, the coal stove had burned out, and while it was cozy and warm in the bed, the cabin had rapidly chilled, thanks to the broken-out window.

Begrudgingly, the three of them climbed out of bed. Selene was currently feeding the fire while Oscar had gone outside with a shovel he’d found in the cellar to try to dig them a path to the car, now that the snow had stopped. He wasn’t sure what the point of that was since the drive was still coated in snow, but Oscar seemed to be enjoying himself.

Luca had been charged with scrounging up dinner. There weren’t many choices, though he had found some minced beef and a bag of fried potatoes in the freezer, which, according to the instructions on the back, could be baked in the oven.

He was fairly certain he had the makings of a hamburger. Or at least the start. Hamburgers were in fashion in Italy right now. He’d eaten them before, but never made one.

Luca searched but didn’t find anything that looked like buns, but he did find ketchup—which was sugary tomato pudding he personally found disgusting—but he also found mayonnaise. The meal felt very American to him, and he liked that.

He walked to the pantry to find a vegetable to add to the plate. He sorted through the various cans, and had settled on a can of corn when he decided to investigate a large cardboard box tucked into a corner on the floor of the pantry. The cartoon elephant on it meant it wasn’t likely to be vegetables, but he was curious. He bent down to open it.

Peering inside, his eyes widened and he whistled.

“What’s in there?” Selene asked as she walked into the kitchen and over to the sink to wash the coal dust from her hands.

Rather than answer, Luca pulled the box out and lifted it to the counter.

Selene, drying her hands on a towel, glanced inside, her smile growing. “You just hit pay dirt, Luca.”

He wasn’t sure he agreed, but before he could suggest they simply put the box away, Oscar shuffled in, rubbing his hands together briskly. “Jesus. It’s colder than a brass toilet seat on the shady side of an iceberg out there.”

Selene and Luca shared a laugh. Luca was amused by Oscar’s colorful way of speaking, but right now…his clever turn of phrase was overshadowed by his ridiculous outfit.

Oscar grinned and rolled his eyes before striking a Superman pose. He’d found a camouflage jacket in the bedroom closet that he’d paired with a quilted blaze-orange hunting hat, complete with fur-lined ear flaps, before venturing outside.

Selene pointed to the box. “I don’t think you’ll be cold for long.”

Curious, Oscar tugged off his hat as he walked over and looked in the box. “Hot damn. I think I just forgave the owners of this cabin for all the stupid-ass chicken shit.”

The three of them each took turns pulling different bottles of liquor from the box.

“Oooo. A full bottle of Hendrick’s…and tonic,” Selene exclaimed excitedly. “G and T’s are like mother’s milk to me.”

Oscar chuckled, even as he shook his head. “No, thanks. I’ll stick with a classic. Crown Royal. I think I saw some cans of Coke in the refrigerator.”

Luca wrinkled his nose as he pulled out a bottle of vodka disdainfully. “Vodka.”

“Good vodka,” Selene stressed. “Grey Goose. Top shelf. Not cheap. You should give it another try.”

  Luca shrugged noncommittally.

“It’s happening. We need mixers.” Oscar had the refrigerator open and he was pulling out different cans of soda. Opening the freezer, he grabbed a tube of frozen orange juice concentrate and handed it to Selene, who immediately found a pitcher.

“Happy hour before we eat?” Selene asked.

“The meat is frozen,” Luca pointed out.

“Happy hour,” Oscar declared. Selene put the meat in a pan and took it to defrost on the coal burner.

Luca finished emptying the box before moving it off the counter. With the soda, juice, tonic water, and seven different bottles of liquor, they’d managed to create a small makeshift bar.

Oscar rubbed his hands together again, but this time, the gesture wasn’t due to cold, but excitement. Obviously Oscar was seeing possibilities. Possibilities that both excited and potentially worried Luca.

“Okay, I think we should start light. You’re a G and T girl, right, Tanaka?”

Selene was way ahead of Oscar, already popping ice cubes from trays into glasses. “I’d kill for a lime, but beggars can’t be choosers.”

She expertly poured out the gin and tonic water over ice, explaining to Luca that the best G and T, in her opinion, was a one-to-one ratio.

Oscar argued with her and added more tonic to one of the glasses. When Oscar argued, the anger in his voice was intimidating. Except, apparently, to Selene, who rolled her eyes then handed Luca the glass with additional tonic in it.

Luca had vowed never to touch liquor again after the unfortunate cheap-vodka night—he’d spent hours on the bathroom floor, promising abstinence forever—but that vow seemed silly now in the face of their enthusiasm. Besides, considering last night, Luca trusted them. He’d trusted them with the secrets of his past, with his remembered pain. Trusted them enough to finally live out a fantasy that had been so much more than his imagination could have ever created.

  Luca took a tentative si
p of the gin and tonic. Given his previous experience, he’d mentally prepared himself for the liquor to burn. So he was shocked by how smooth the drink was.

“That tastes like…” He took another sip, trying to nail down the unusual flavor, but he couldn’t figure it out. It was very mild, but not sweet.

  “Juniper? Cucumber?” Selene supplied.

  “Juniper. That’s it. How unusual.”

  “Like it?” she asked.

“Very much,” Luca said, taking a larger sip.

Oscar downed his gin and tonic in one quick swig, clearly not as impressed as Luca. “That’s okay for a start, but this is a real man’s drink.”

Oscar tried to take Selene’s glass, but she held on to it and hissed at him. Luca relinquished his glass and Oscar rinsed out their glasses, joking he didn’t want the gin to taint the flavor of his masterpiece. Grabbing another glass for Selene, he then poured Crown Royal and Coca-Cola into the glasses. He lifted a jar of maraschino cherries to show them. “Found these in the pantry. My secret weapon.” He added a couple cherries to each glass. “Since we don’t have Cherry Coke. Give that a try, Luca.”

Again, Luca was surprised by how easily Oscar’s drink went down. “That is delicious.”

Selene sipped her drink and gave Oscar a one-shoulder shrug, clearly not willing to admit how much she liked his cocktail. He liked the casual way she had a glass in each hand.

“Perhaps it’s just vodka that I do not like,” Luca said.

“Two iterations are not enough of a test,” Selene declared.

“Nice try, Luca,” Oscar said, uncapping the Grey Goose. “You’re still doing a vodka tasting.”

Selene considered their options, then consulted with Oscar. “You could go for the classic,” she suggested. “A screwdriver.”

Oscar shook his head. “Feels too safe, too boring.”

“I thought that was what the orange juice was for?” Selene stuck a wooden spoon in the pitcher and gave it a quick stir.

Oscar grinned. “I just like to have options. I mean, there’s amaretto here too, and there’s nothing like OJ and amaretto.”

“Amaretto?” Luca picked up the bottle, read the label, and brightened up. “Oh. I love almonds.”

Selene ignored him, reaching for a different bottle. “There’s a little thing of Bacardi. OJ isn’t pineapple juice, but maybe with a cherry in it.”

“Too tropical for the middle of a fucking blizzard.”

  “True,” Selene agreed with Oscar.

“What I’d really love to make him is a Bloody Mary, but there’s no tomato juice. Damn,” Oscar said after a few minutes. “There’s not much here. It’ll have to be simple.” He returned to the refrigerator and pulled out a tiny plastic lime.

“Seriously?” Selene asked. “There was lime juice in the fridge and you didn’t bother to tell me?”

Oscar gave her a shit-eating grin. “Didn’t feel right wasting it on a G and T.” He cracked open a Sprite, pouring that and a splash of the lime juice over the vodka.

Selene scowled. “But you’ll waste it on a vodka and Sprite?” Her question was laced with outright disgust. “Is there Seagram’s? A seven and seven—well, seven and Sprite—is more blizzard appropriate.”

“Says the woman who started with a G and T and suggested Bacardi and OJ.”

“Crown and Coke? That was your life-altering suggestion?” Selene scoffed.

“I added cherries,” Oscar said hotly.

Luca was starting to feel warm, thanks to the alcohol. Warm and…happy.

  He was happy.

Unable to contain it, he started to laugh, enthralled by these two wonderful people. They were so open and honest with what they thought and felt. He’d spent his life hiding. From others. From his own emotions. They, in contrast, could bicker and argue, then smile and laugh together.

They stopped arguing when his laughter continued, Oscar tilting his head and leaning closer to him.

“Drunk?” he asked Selene, though it was Luca’s face he was looking at. “I mean, he’s only had two drinks. Talk about your lightweights.”

“I’m not drunk,” Luca said, still chortling.

“You might be a little bit drunk,” Selene pointed out.

“Is that why I feel…happy?” Luca set his drink down. “In that case, I want to always be drunk.”

Selene’s expression softened. “You haven’t been happy very often, have you?”

  “No.”

Oscar put a thumb on Luca’s eyelid and pulled it up, staring at his eyeball. “Not drunk. Tipsy.”

Selene knocked Oscar’s hand away from his face. “Leave his eyeball alone. You’re not a doctor and you can’t diagnose levels of drunkenness like that anyway.”

“Walt’s a doctor. I absorbed some of that med school shit by sibling osmosis.”

  “Is that possible?” Luca asked.

Selene shook her head. “No, it’s not. He’s full of shit. But I agree with his conclusion. You’re probably just a little tipsy. Here.” She added more Sprite to his glass.

“But what about more vodka? I think I like it after all.”

Oscar snorted. “We’re going to pace you. After this one, you chug water.”

“Aww, it’s like he’s a new pledge to our frat and we have to make sure he doesn’t die of alcohol poisoning,” Selene said cheerfully.

“Where the fuck did you go to school again?” Oscar asked.

  “MIT.”

“What the fuck was going on in your Greek system?”

“What about those other bottles?” Luca pointed. “I’m a scientist. We should experiment.”

“Look at me, buddy.” Oscar cupped Luca’s face in his hands. “I’m going to make this simple. If you drink too much, your dick stops working.”

  “That’s…that’s not acceptable.”

“It’s one of life’s great injustices,” Oscar agreed solemnly.

“I, however, can keep drinking,” Selene said. “And then I can be drunk while you two pleasure me.”

Luca held very still as his mind crafted one sensual, sexual fantasy after another.

Oscar squeezed his face. “What are you thinking right now?”

He should prevaricate. But he didn’t want to. He wanted there to be no secrets from these two.

“There are things…things besides drinks I’d like to try.”

  “Sex things?” Selene said hopefully.

Luca sighed, long and slow. “So many sex things.”

“Damn blizzard, we’re short at least one person for a gang bang,” she grumped.

“I’ll share you with him. I’m not sharing you, either of you, with a stranger.” Oscar had crossed his arms and sounded grumpy once more.

Selene ignored him. “Luca, tell us what you want to try.”

“I should make dinner. Hamburgers. We’re in America, so I was going to make hamburgers.”

“Luca, spit it out,” Oscar demanded. “What do you fantasize about when you jerk off in the shower?”

If he hadn’t had the drinks, he wouldn’t have said it, or at least wouldn’t have blurted the words out as if he were entering terms into the search bar of a porn website.

“Gang bang. Bondage. Forced Voyeurism. Fem Dom.”

Selene and Oscar stared at him, and his buzz started to fade, replaced by embarrassment.

“Fuck dinner,” Oscar breathed. “Take off your clothes.”

Selene put a hand on Oscar’s chest to stop him as the big man reached for the hem of her shirt. He froze, muscles tense under her palm. The fact that she could stop him, a man so physically dominant that there was no way she could have stopped him if this were a purely physical contest, excited her.

That thought sparked another fantasy, but they already had a deliciously long to-do list.

“We have to decide on a logical order for this,” she insisted.

“How about we just talk about it while we fuck?” Oscar demanded in exasperation.

  “Don
t you think Luca deserves the full experience?”

Luca stiffened. “If this is motivated by pity because of my…”

Whoops. She’d put her foot in it. “Luca, no, of course not.”

“Selene just wants to do some Fem Dom so she can make us eat her pussy.”

“When you say eat, you actually mean lick, correct?” Luca cleared his throat. “The available pornography doesn’t make it clear exactly what is pleasing.”

Selene licked her lips. If they kept talking rather than doing, she was going to jump one of them. Literally jump on them. Oscar was used to her and would catch her. If she could get them to the bedroom then maneuver Luca so his back was to the bed, then at least if she knocked him over, they’d have somewhere to land.

“What are you thinking?” The question came not from Oscar, but from Luca.

  “Why do you ask?”

“You have your sexy face on,” Oscar said.

  “I have a sexy face?”

  “You do,” Luca said.

“He just met you and he knows it.” Oscar stepped closer, effortlessly closing the space between them, her hand still pressed to his chest. “You are a fucking sexy woman.”

Selene briefly considered doing exactly what Oscar had suggested—just going for it. Another session of sweet ménage sex.

Ménage sex, like what she’d have with her trinity.

She looked from Oscar to Luca and let her thoughts take her down a road they had never traveled. She was wishing for, hoping for, something that was impossible, something that wasn’t hers for the taking.

What would she give to live in a committed trinity with Oscar…and Luca? Luca, who was not a member of the Masters’ Admiralty or the Trinity Masters. Selene couldn’t help thinking of Oscar’s sister, Sylvia. After all, she was an American admitted to the European secret society. Perhaps Luca, an Italian, could…

Selene silently rebuked herself. Luca was part of a religious sect working against the Masters’ Admiralty. He wasn’t a part of the world she lived in. What she longed for was absurd, inaccessible, unachievable. She wasn’t living in a fool’s paradise and it was time to stop pretending she was.

Shoving those thoughts aside hurt, but also helped her control her arousal. Selene stood on her toes, placing a kiss on Oscar’s cheek.
