The Origin of a Unicorn
Makenna
In Ancient Greece, the ruler of all gods, Zeus, woke up in his King-sized bed and as he sat up, the sun shone through the window and on his large intimidating face. His mouth dropped and he sucked in a huge breath then seconds later exhaled it. He gazed down at earth through is big window just to see Penelope running with a populace of horses. He threw his clothes on because he felt a tickle in how horses looked.
He magically and mysteriously appeared in front of Penelope as her mouth dropped and her eyes grew with great shock. Zeus gave Penelope a deed to somehow create a new creature similiar to the horse, but to make it a magical, prodigious, and eyeful. With this command, Penelope decided to pray to the goddess of love and beauty to help her create a stunning beast. Aphrodite came down to earth to see Penelope and help her with her task.
“I can make something unbelievable and beautiful, but to do that, I will need rainbow dust from a Hawaiian rainbow, and an ice cream cone.” Penelope took on the task and headed to Hawaii for the rainbow dust.
She arrived in Hawaii and quickly caught a glimpse of a double rainbow in the corner of her eye. She ran as fast as possible to the end of the rainbow. She held out her hands and in them, magically appeared rainbow dust filled with glitter and rainbow coloring. She reached toward her back jean pocket to pull out a draw string bag to store the dust in. Now she only needed and ice cream cone.
She returned home and had the idea to go to the ice cream shop. She entered the happy, cold, and colorful shop where she knew she could find an ice cream cone. While Penelope was at it, she also decided to get an ice cream to enjoy for herself. She saved the cone in her other jean pocket and enjoyed her delicious ice cream.
When she returned back home Aphrodite was waiting in the kitchen and was pleased with what she saw. Penelope handed the items over to the stunning goddess, and Aphrodite sat the cone upside-down on the dining chair with the rainbow dust an inch behind it.
“With these items of magical things I shall make a magical beast,” yelled the gorgeous goddess. And with that one sentence the chair and table slid and the dining room rumbled and shook, after a bit the room settled down and in the middle of the room sat and magical looking horse with rainbow hair and horn. It smelt like cupcakes and it was the softest thing Penelope had ever felt. He had shiny dreamy eyes and a long perfectly curled rainbow colored tail.
Penelope led the new looking horse outside along with Aphrodite. Aphrodite wondered what the magical creature should be called. Then right before her eyes Zeus appeared and was attracted to the appealing horse figure.
”This is precisely the creature I was looking for, you have both done a fantastic job, so I reward Aphrodite with the choosing of the name for the living being.”
Aphrodite bowed, “Thanks you ruler, I shall name this creation a unicorn for its fine horn that sits on top of his head.”
“Well then welcome a unicorn to this world,” replied Zeus.
“And now Penelope, I shall most certainly reward you as well, you are now the highly paid owner of your very own unicorn barn.”
Penelope bowed down to the large god. “Thank you ruler.”
Zeus rose out of bed the next morning just to see Penelope riding a unicorn with beam on her face outside of his bedroom window.
Cinderelliott
By Dylan Croce
Once upon a time there was a boy in Qoultra’s forest, whose name was Elliott, and he had a very quiet life until one day he had received news that his father had died from Ice Cream disease. From that day forth he didn't have the same life as before. His work and chores were different and he never understood what his purpose was, for he was a lost bird. Eventually, one day something extraordinary happened. His mother decided to re-marry and brought home a stepfather Crockett and two stepbrothers named Galen and Ebenezer. However, Elliott did not like them at all. And as time went on anger piled upon frustration and hatred until he decided to run away, and then he met Saffron the love of his life.
Later that night when he was cleaning the stove he got soot on his face when he heard a voice say, “Hey Cinderelliot!”
And as Ebenezer said it, they heard the doorbell ring, and they all went to answer it. To their surprise, it was an invitation to the party. They opened it and a bunch of flashing colors and party horns appeared, giving Elliott’s mother a seizure, and of course they had no clue what it was so they buried her alive.
That day Elliott said, “What am I to do?”
The next morning was the big day for everyone in the house, and they prepared all day for the party that the great god of wine, Dionysus, was hosting. At the time, Elliot, did not know but, he would be going too. So, that night when everyone was getting ready, Elliot came down looking great and started out the door when he felt a piercing gaze looking at him as he turned around to the surprise of his stepfather.
“Where do you think, you are going?” he yelled. “You, young man isn’t going to ruin our chances with your hideous cheesy pants!”
As Ebenezer and Galen scurried out the door, they smirked at Elliott, telling him that he is a failure. Elliott closed the door behind them, and started crying. After a while, he saw a flash in the backyard and he grabbed his trusty broom to go investigate.
A man appeared, “I am your Fairy Godmother Father.” he said, and as he said that, Elliott found himself engulfed in pixie dust and dressed up, with a carriage of cheese, and charioteers of stone. Elliott was speechless, so speechless that he hugged his Fairy Godmother Father.
As the Fairy began to disappear, he said, “Just don’t drink any wine until after 12 o’clock.”
So off they drove in their different directions, and Elliott soon arrived at the castle, where he was immediately let in. The party was already chaotic, with drunks everywhere. He wondered how people could be like this at only 10 o’clock. So, he went down and saw the princess, Saffron meeting different people as the party continued. Once the line shortened, he went to meet her, but Dionysus dunked his head in scrumptious wine, as he realized he needed to leave. He darted toward the door, just as they met eyes. His buckle and pants fell as he frantically rushed home, thinking what a fool he was.
The next day the princess ordered the royal loyal to find the person who wore the pants, who she truly loved. So throughout that day, many people tried on the pants and they fit no one, but the last house was still in sight. When they knocked on the door, Elliott answered and they fitted the pants on him, and they fit!
