“That’s fucked up,” Blayde says as he straps on his brain bucket. Hazel eyes and a lethal body dance in my vision as I put on my own. “How can he do that to her? I’ve heard rumors of what happens to men who get close to her, but to see her father treat her that way? Something else is going on.”

“I agree,” I answer, straddling my bike. “I think something else is happening and he’s using Poison for some reason.” Even her name rolling off my lips sends shock waves to my dick. “We need to find out why before the first drop. We need to protect her the best we can.”

The strip club door bounces open again and Poison is hurrying across the parking lot. She has her head down, her body is rigid and I can sense the tension radiating from here. She fumbles with her keys before she successfully unlocks her door and throws herself inside her dark blue Dodge Durango. I watch as she rests her head on the steering wheel. Blayde is watching her too, his blue eyes are deep with concern.

“C’mon, we need to get back to the clubhouse and hold Church. Let our guys know what’s going on.” I finally drag my eyes off Poison’s SUV and fire up my bike. The deep vibrations of the motor comfort me. I drop it into first and Blayde follows. We slowly roll past Poison and she picks her head up. Our eyes lock for a brief moment, I notice tears trailing down her cheeks and the rage I locked away comes crashing back to the front of my mind. I offer her a wink and a nod before I twist the gas and shoot off into the setting sun, shifting gears, trying to settle the fury building in my head. The need to protect this beautiful woman is prominent now more than ever. I need to figure out her story and the best way is to take this job and get close to her.

The sun is peaking through the clouds, shining its rays down onto us when we reach the strip club thirty minutes later. It looks exactly the way I remember it the first time I was here. The building is made of grey metal with a parking lot extending toward the road and around the back. I slow my bike down and signal to turn. We pull up close to the building, nestled alone on a dead end street. The red and black Deadly Sins Strip Club sign is dark and the place looks deserted. We slowly drive by, looking for life inside, but we can’t see in because there are no windows on this side of the building.

Poison points to the back of the club and I slowly roll that way, looking for something, anything that tells me Siren is here. A feeling deep in my gut is telling me to get out fast, but I ignore it. If Siren is here and hurt, I’ll never forgive myself and Poison will never trust me again.

The back of the strip club is open with more parking spaces for the employees. There are no street lights back here and no cars either. I swing back around to the front and park my bike; the other’s do the same. We sit here for a moment before Poison gets off. Her missing body heat sends a shiver down my spine. She removes her helmet and sets it on the backrest.

“I’m going inside to check. Just because Siren’s car isn’t here doesn’t mean she’s not. She likes to walk more than drive.” The fight is back in Poison’s eyes and it does things to me I can’t explain. She starts to walk away, but she isn’t going by herself. Someone could be in there waiting to hurt her.

“You’re not going in alone,” I growl, halting her forward movement.

She spins back around with a raised brow. “Well, you haven’t moved and I need to get inside. Either you’re coming with me or staying here, but I’m not waiting any longer.”

I climb off my bike, remove my brain bucket and hang it on the handlebar. Blayde, Axel and Stryker follow my silent command and do the same. Poison stands in front of me with her hands on her sexy hips and an annoyed look on her face. I approach her, standing to my full height and watch as her body betrays her mind and her breath quickens. She doesn’t take her eyes off mine when I step so close to her, she’s forced to tip her head back. Her chest is heaving up and down and she’s biting her bottom lip, doing crazy things to my aching cock. I stand close enough, I can smell my soap she used earlier mixed with bike exhaust. That does insane things to my head. I reach out and tuck a strand of blonde hair behind her ear and her breath hitches in her throat.

“Let’s go find Siren. Then I’m taking you back to my clubhouse.” I whisper softly in her ear. Poison’s skin breaks out in goosebumps and I smirk, knowing I have the same effect on her she has on me. My dick takes notice how close we’re standing next to each other, her body heat penetrating me, making me forget where we are and what’s happened. My aching cock is going to suffer if I don’t get her tight pussy wrapped around me soon.

“OK.” That’s all she says before she composes herself and turns away. I watch the sexy sway of her hips and her toned ass in my sweatpants. I walk right behind her so none of the other guys watch what I see. I’d hate to beat my own guys with an inch of their lives for looking at her ass. That’s mine to look at, touch and smack, not theirs.

Poison yanks on the metal door but it doesn’t budge. “Fuck. I don’t have my keys.” She stomps her foot then hits the unforgiving steel with her fist.

Blayde pushes his way past us and bends down to look at the lock. He produces a small black zip-up wallet from his back pocket and pulls out a lock picking tool. Within less than a minute he has the door unlocked and steps back, opening it at the same time. “After you,” he bows, holding it open.

“Thanks.” Poison responds before ducking inside. I quickly follow, holding onto Poison’s hand. It’s pitch black, the only thing I can hear is our breathing and the creaking of leather as we stop inside the door and it slams closed behind us. Shadows dance around me as I try to see past the entrance, my eyes adjusting to the darkness. Poison tugs on my hand and slowly walks forward, hands splayed out in front of her. I pull my phone out of my jeans pocket and turn the flashlight app on, lighting up the room. The guys follow my lead and our lights are shining into the club. Chairs are flipped over on top of the tables and the stage is clear except for the stripper pole. The stale smell of liquor, sex and tobacco sends my stomach rolling. Mirrors lining the stage and the walls around the club reflect our images back at us. The blood red couches towards the back of the room are empty. Poison tries to release my hand, but I’m not letting her out of my sight or my grasp. She tugs on my arm and we walk together towards the bar and into the backroom, leaving my guys in the main room.

“Shine your light this way,” Poison whispers and I do what she says. She finds the light switches and pushes the buttons. Each room lights up in white fluorescent and I breathe a little easier. Turning off the flashlight, I pocket my phone. I look at Poison and she’s watching me while nibbling on her plump bottom lip again. I stifle in a groan, still holding onto her hand. “Thank you for bringing me.”

“It’s no problem.” I contemplate telling her what I know, but I decide at the last second to keep her in the dark. The last thing I want is her running away from me because of the danger I’ve brought into her life. Guilt swirls in my stomach as I peer into her hazel eyes. They’re more green than blue right now and the heat from her stare is penetrating. I pull her hand toward me and she comes willingly. Our bodies are pressed together from knee to chest. I wrap my arms around her slender back and she’s watching me through her thick dark lashes. Poison wets her lips with her tongue and I’m afraid my cock is going to have permanent damage. I close the distance between us, our breaths mingling together. Her chest is heaving, rubbing her tits against my leather cut making my dick harden in my jeans. I bring my lips inches away from hers ready to kiss her when a scream followed by a grunt pierces the silence, bursting the bubble we’re in. I lean my forehead against hers, breathing harshly.

“Something keeps stopping you from kissing me again,” Poison’s husky voice sends a shot of need into my body.

“One of these days, I’ll get it right,” I answer against her lips. Our harsh breaths mingle together and she releases a small laugh.

“I hope so.” Poison pulls away from me and we search for the intruder. Coming out of the backroom, I spot Axel and Stryker standing next to the stage
laughing so hard, they can’t catch their breath. A woman with long black hair is being restrained by Blayde, who has a flash of fury in his eyes. He wraps his arms around the woman, holding her back to his front. She’s kicking and cursing fighting his hold.

“Siren,” Poison yells and the woman stops struggling. She looks at us and her body sags with relief. “Are you OK?”

Blayde grunts behind her as she kicks him in the shin, making him loosen his grip. She brings her head back, ready to head butt him, but he moves at the last second.

“Stop!” he barks out, causing all of us to stop moving. “We’re not here to hurt you.” Siren’s body relaxes against his grip. “I will let you go, but you’ve got to stop fighting me. Do you understand?” Siren nods her head and he releases her. She spins around and pushes him with everything her tiny body has, but he doesn’t budge. Poison and I have moved closer to the stage, I’m still gripping her hand, not letting go.

“Siren,” Poison repeats herself and Siren spins around, her black hair whipping Blayde in the face. The murderous look on his face, I’ve seen it plenty of times.

“Poison? Thank God you’re ok. What the fuck is going on?” Siren jumps off the stage and runs toward us, enveloping Poison in a hug, almost tackling her to the ground. She releases my hand and hugs her back.

“The club…” Poison trails off and tears are in her eyes. She shakes her head and continues. “It’s all gone. Everyone but you and me.”

“What are you talking about?” Siren asks, concern in her sultry voice.

“Someone came in and shot everyone, left me for dead. MadDog saved my life. He threw himself in front of me and saved me.” Tears are falling down Poison’s face and her breathing is erratic. Siren wraps her slender arms around her, hugging her tight. I nod my head to my brothers and they all scatter across the room giving them privacy. “I don’t know who they are, Siren. But they murdered everyone in cold blood. Then they burned the house down.”

  “How did you get out?”

“Those men assumed I was dead and they left. I crawled across dead bodies drenched in blood. Escaped out the back door before they came back and burned everyone inside.” Poison is crying hard and her body is shaking with sobs. I rest my palm on Poison’s back, rubbing soothing motions up and down. I want to take her in my arms and have her use me to cry on, but Siren has a strong hold on her, not letting her go. Poison pulls out of Siren’s embrace and looks at me with red-rimmed eyes. “I heard his voice. I will never forget it.”

“Heard who’s voice?” I ask, swallowing hard. Blayde steps up behind Siren, listening intently.

“The man who ordered the hit. He spoke to his other men before they left. His voice was cold, detached and gravely. I’ll never forget it.” A shiver wracks her frame and I pull her out of Siren’s embrace, wrapping my arms around her slender body.

“We’ll protect you from this asshole,” I sooth Poison the best I can. Blayde clenches his jaw tight and his fists are opening and closing at his sides, his eyes betray the murderous look he’s throwing Siren. Siren is watching us with wide green eyes. She’s shocked as hell and it makes me want to fist bump the air. I’m sending her a silent message, Poison is mine.

“What the fuck did I miss?” Siren asks, her eyes bouncing back and forth between the two of us.

Poison composes herself and shifts in my arms, I’m not letting her go. “Kayne and I know each other.”

“How? He’s supposed to be the enemy, not someone you’re fucking while your family is dead.” Siren spits out. I tighten my grip around Poison so I don’t hit the bitch.

Before I can say anything, Poison does. “Siren, there is so much you don’t know and I couldn’t tell you. My father had me running with these guys for the Irish for the past two years. My father forbade me to say anything to you or he’d kill Kayne and Blayde.”

“Are you fucking kidding me? Two years and you now tell me?” Siren is pissed. She turns away and walks to the stage, jumping up. She’s pacing back and forth, whipping her long black hair around at each turn. Poison and I walk toward her and she pins us with a deadly glare. “Two fucking years Poison. Why didn’t you tell me? We tell each other everything.”

  “I couldn’t Siren.” She whispers

“Why not!” Siren screams, clenching her jaw tight.

“Trust me when I say I couldn’t tell you!” Poison is breathing hard, yelling back at Siren.

“Tell me why you, my best friend, couldn’t tell me.” Siren points an accusing finger at Poison.

“It wasn’t just their lives I was protecting.” Poison’s body is trembling under my hands. “It was yours too. If I told you, Drex would have killed you because he knew you’d talk me out of it. I had no choice. I was protecting you.” Tears are falling rapidly down her face and she wipes them away, straightening her spine. “Now stop being a stubborn bitch and get down here.”

Siren freezes in place and stares at Poison, her green eyes are wide with shock. She takes a stuttering breath and exhales it, jumping off the stage. Her lethal body moves forward slowly as she extends her hand, palm up, reaching out to us before dropping them to her sides, hanging her head in defeat. Blayde steps up behind her and caresses her slender shoulders. The motion rattles my brain, I give Blayde a what-the-fuck look, but he shakes his head.

“Siren,” Blayde soothes. She lifts her head looking him in the eyes. “Now you know what I couldn’t tell you. I had to protect you from Drex.” I burn a hole into the side of Blayde’s head, but the asshole ignores me.

Poison finally gathers her thoughts and her body is trembling in rage. “Are you fucking kidding me?” her voice is low and deadly. “You just stood here belittling me for saving your fucking life and now I find out you’ve been fucking Blayde.” Her voice is rising a little higher with each word.

“It’s not like that,” Siren pleads. “We haven’t done anything.”

“Then what the fuck is it like?” Poison growls causing Siren to hesitate. “Answer me now!” Poison shouts.

  “I…” Siren stops.

“You what? Fell on his dick? Sucked him off for protection? What Siren?”

“Enough,” Blayde’s deep voice stops Poison tirade, his blue eyes land on her face. “We just met a few weeks ago. Now enough of this bullshit. We found her and need to get back to the clubhouse. Prez, we have to go.”

I glance down at Poison and nod my head, “Come on, let’s get you two back and you can hash it out there, not here, not while everything is still raw.” She walks away without a word, Siren is right behind her, followed by Stryker and Axel.

Blayde steps up next to me, “I swear I didn’t know who she was when we met. It was a freak accident and I didn’t put two and two together until I saw her on that stage. She kept asking me a million questions when we would go on a run and I kept telling her I couldn’t answer.” The regret in his voice makes me believe him.

“Blayde, you’re my VP. You’re not supposed to hide shit from me. That’s a danger to our club. This,” I point to the girls that just went out the front door. “Never fucking happens again. If it does, I will strip you of your title and patch. Don’t fuck with me again.” I turn on my heels and follow the rest of our members out the door. I’m beyond pissed.

Poison is waiting for me next to my bike and I take long strides until I reach her. She rests her hand on my President patch over my heart and it calms me. I take out a cigarette and light it, inhaling the smoke deep into my lungs.

“Have an extra?” she asks. I pull out my pack and hand her one. She puts it between her plump lips and raises an eyebrow. “Got a light?” Poison smirks as she says this. I take my lighter out of my pocket and light her smoke. She inhales deep and exhales just as smoothly. “So much better than the alternative.”

“What’s that?” I ask, mesmerized by her inhaling another drag, wishing it was my cock between her lips and not the cigarette.

“A drink. The burn is real right now and I have a feeling it
’s not going to get easier from here on out.” She exhales another long stream of smoke and glances at Siren standing next to Blayde’s bike.

“Yeah, well, welcome to my world Princess.” I inhale a long drag and exhale before continuing. “It doesn’t get easier and I’m never going back there again. I can be around it, watch others make asses of themselves, but not me. Four years sober. Since I moved here from Detroit, cleaned up my act and quit drinking.” I confess, which shocks the hell out of both of us.

“Three years here. Since…” Poison trails off with a faraway look in her eyes.

“Since what Poison?” I urge her to continue.

She shakes her head dropping her cigarette to the ground stomping it out with the heel of her boot, “Nothing. Let’s roll.” Poison grabs the half helmet and straps it on her head, waiting for me to get on the bike.

I step into her space, my breath fanning across her face. “We’ll talk about that later. No more secrets between us, no more hiding what we both feel.” My hand gently cups her cheek and she leans her head into it. A sign of understanding that makes my dick hard again.

“OK, later.” She agrees. I remove my hand and strap my brain bucket on my head. Straddling my Harley, my brothers do the same. Siren is standing next to Blayde and he hands her his brain bucket to wear. She slowly takes it from his grip, unsure if she wants to do this. Poison is watching the interaction and walks over to her. They talk quietly to each other, but after a few harsh whispers, Siren concedes and puts on his helmet.

Poison walks back over to me and I’m mesmerized by the sexy sway of her hips in my clothes. I need to take her shopping so she can wear her own, but I’m satisfied with this look right now. My club logo all over her body. Soon, I’ll claim her body with my own and no one, I mean no one will fuck with her again.

Poison settles her hand on my shoulder and swings her right leg over, snuggling in behind me, wrapping her arms around my waist brushing my aching cock, her pussy and tits pressed against my back, her heat penetrating my body. Blayde, Stryker, Axel and I fire up our bikes and the vibration settles my nerves. I rev the motor and don’t hear the car pulling up behind us.
