Hawk Wild (Lost Boys MC Book 2)

Shelly lifts a brow. “Does he? Interesting.” She leans against the counter, the brush of her tit as she moves is harder to ignore than I want to admit. How in the hell can I be hard over a fully-clothed boob touching me? It’s not possible.
But here I am. Stuck standing at the counter, trying to hide a hard on from the woman who is the only motherly influence I can really remember having.
Because of the hellcat beside me.
That’s what this woman is. And she’s got claws I can’t wait to feel dug into my skin.
“Tell me more about this secret cooking ability.” She reaches past my hands to steal a slice of tomato and folds it in half. Then she slowly slides it between her lips, eyes locked on me as she does.
Jill is going on about some shit I made a few months ago, clueless to what’s happening beside her.
But I’m not and fuck me I can’t make myself look away.
Shelly bites the slice in half and licks her lips, still never dropping my gaze.
I want to be like that fucking tomato, sliding between Shelly’s lips while she watches me fuck her face.
“Right?”
The word barely registers.
Shit. I have no idea what in the hell Jill’s been talking about.
Shelly smirks at me as she slides the other half of the rolled tomato slice into her mouth. Then she turns away and saunters to where Wind sits at the island. “Hey, Tate.” She moves in a little too close to him. “Could you take me for a ride on your bike later?”
Wind’s eyes widen and snap to me. Shelly follows his line of sight. When her eyes land on me she doesn’t look surprised at all and I could swear she nods a little.
Like Wind just confirmed something she suspected.
She turns her attention back to him and moves in a little closer. “Please.” Her lips plump into a pout.
I can see the panic creeping onto Wind’s face. I made it clear that anyone who touches Shelly would suffer for it, and he’s not interested in finding out the specifics of what I meant.
None of the guys are. It’s the only thing that’s kept her from getting what she wants.
But Shelly thinks the rest of the club ignores her because of what she did to me. And it’s a little true. Just not in the way she thinks.
Wind tries to scoot away but with Crow in the seat beside him there’s not far for him to go.
And Shelly’s persistent, moving with him, the fitted cut of her white tank top showing just how close he is to getting to feel her tits against him.
“Enough.” I slam the knife down so hard it makes the whole room jump.
Everyone except Shelly.
Her head slowly turns to me, lips tugging into a sly smile.
“Goddamn it.” I grab her arm and yank her off Wind, then drag her through the house and out into the garage.
She played me.
I watched it happen. She didn’t even try to hide it.
I shove her through the door and slam it behind me. “What the fuck are you doing?”
Her eyes widen with an innocence I know damn well is fake. “Nothing. I just wanted to go for a ride.” Shelly’s body goes soft, her arm relaxing in my grip as she takes a step toward me. “Do you want to take me for a ride, Shaun?”
She’s pushing me. I fucked up this morning at the range. Didn’t hide the shit her crazy streak does to me. Now she’s using it against me.
And I fucking love it as much as I hate it.
She smiles. The sort of smile that makes my already stiff dick stand a little taller with anticipation. Shelly plants both her hands on my chest and shoves me hard, her body moving with mine as I stumble back until my spine bangs into the fridge where Jill keeps all the beer and extra shit she needs for our dinners.
I barely have time to steady myself before her sweet body is shoved against me, her lips hitting mine hard and rough. She sucks my lower lip between her teeth and bites down.
I asked for this. Thought maybe a good girl with a wild streak would still be on this side of my line.
Only Shelly’s streak might run a little wider than I expected and I need to get this shit under control before it gets out of hand. I grab her hips and flip our positions. Shelly lets out a breathy moan when I push her against the fridge. “What’s the matter?” She rubs against me, her tits fighting with the low cut neck of her top until one lace-covered mound pops free.
Jesus Christ this woman.
I reach for her shirt and Shelly shoves her tit against the palm of my hand, the tight pucker of her nipple tempting me to change my plans. I grit my teeth and yank her shirt back in place, covering one of my current distractions. “You’ve got to stop, Kitten.”
She scoffs. “I thought I was Hellcat.” Shelly reaches down to rub her hand over my dick. “Maybe I should try harder.”
I grab her hand and slam it back against the freezer behind her head. “If you try any harder you’re going to end up getting fucked where everyone can hear you scream my name.”
Shelly’s pupils dilate and her breath hitches.
That was the wrong thing to say.
I spread my hand over her belly and hold her in place while I take a step back, putting some distance between her and me. While the idea of taking Shelly where anyone can find us isn’t unappealing, it’s not how I want the first time I fuck her to go.
I want to be the only one to hear her moan. The only one to listen when she comes on my cock. It’s something I’ve thought about too fucking much and it’s making it impossible to stay the course.
Especially with her looking at me like she is. Lids heavy. Lips still damp from mine. Nipples pressed tight against the fabric of her shirt.
My mouth practically waters with the need to feel them under my tongue.
But I want to wait. Because I’m scared with Shelly it might be more than just fucking, and I’ve never had anything that’s more than fucking.
Never met a woman I wanted more from. Not till this one. And wouldn’t it figure she’d do everything in her power to derail me?
Probably why she’s the one I want.
But I can’t let it happen until I get her back where she belongs.
On the other side of the line she’s so good at crossing.
“Don’t you want to fuck me, Shaun?” Shelly tries to wiggle out of my grip. I know she’s getting frustrated. Probably thinking she read me wrong.
She didn’t, and I’m tired of the game I’ve been playing with myself. Tired of thinking of reasons I should stay the fuck away from her.
“You know damn well I want to fuck you, Kitten.” I risk getting a little closer. “Not going to though. Not yet.”
She perks up a little “Yet?”
I shake my head. “I will though.” I lean in, giving myself a little of the vanilla-scented air around her. It’s one more thing I like about her. That she smells like innocence and softness while she’s asking me to fuck her. “But not tonight.”
Shelly’s eyes narrow and her nostrils flare. “Didn’t peg you as a tease, Hawk.” She practically spits my road name at me.
“Didn’t say I wasn’t going to make you come tonight. Just said it wasn’t going to be with my dick.” If she needs release I’m damn well going to be the one to give it to her. That’s a safe compromise. A way for me to get a taste, so I know what I’m up against. “I’m the one who takes you home tonight. You get to ride just like you wanted and then I’ll make you feel real good, understand?”
She hesitates a second, her eyes still narrow as they study me. Finally Shelly gives me a slow nod.
I slide the hand on her belly up the center of her chest to cuff it around the front of her neck as I step in close. “But no more teasing me with other men, Kitten. I don’t fucking like it.”
If I had a button that switched me from mean to meaner that would be it, and Shelly’s pressed it twice today.
She should be at least a little scared. I’m not the kind of man most people warm up to. Between the bad attitud
e and the size, I’m more of an ‘avoid at all costs’ kind of guy.
But Shelly doesn’t slink back at all. Her hands are fisted in my shirt as she licks her lips, eyes locked on my mouth.
I push closer, wanting just a little more almost as much as it looks like she does. I hold her still with the hand at her neck and this time I’m the one running the show when our mouths meet. I can taste the sweet bite of the tomato she teased me with as I stroke her tongue with mine. I fill my free hand with one full ass cheek, using the grip to grind against her. Give myself just a little of what I want from her, and give Shelly a taste of the things I plan to do to her.
She’ll find out soon enough.
When I know I can do it without putting either of us in danger.
When she’s panting into my mouth I pull away, dragging her with me. “Come on.”
“What?” The word is as outraged sounding as a squeak can be. She yanks hard against the hand I hold tight in mine.
“I said come on.” I pull her harder toward the door and Shelly bucks, fighting me.
“I fucking hate you, Hawk. You’re an asshole.”
I swing her around and shove her against the door to the house. “You won’t hate me when my head’s between your legs later.”
She gasps and her legs press together, probably trying to release the burn I know she’s feeling there.
“But I want something now.” She tries to push against me again.
It’s a tempting offer.
Not as tempting as the thought of eating her pussy later is though. I shake my head. “And if I find out you get yourself off before then you get nothing.”
Her mouth drops open. “That’s not fair.”
I slide my hand between her legs pressing against her pussy. “I’m the only one who gets you off now, Kitten. Every time you come belongs to me from here on out.” I run my nose up the side of hers. “Unless you want to change your mind about that ride later.”
I can’t stop the shit coming out of my mouth. Can’t control the way she makes me feel and that scares the shit out of me.
And I still can’t quit.
She starts to say something but her mouth clamps shut, lips pressing tight together.
“You change your mind?”
I want to hear her say it. Want her to say she chooses me.
Wants me.
In spite of all I am.
Her head moves from side to side. “No.”
“Good.” I pull my hand free, making sure to give her clit a nice stroke through her pants as I go. “Cause I’d be disappointed as hell if I didn’t get to taste you later.”
Her lips curl into a smile.
I thought Shelly might be a little shocked at my dirty talk, but it looks like that’s one more place the crazy streak that draws me in resides.
I tug her away from the door and pull it open, moving her inside ahead of me with my hand on her back. Now that I’ve had my hands on her I’m not so sure I want to take them off.
Everyone here already knows she’s mine. Has been since that night at Kerri’s apartment. The morning after she slipped me enough sparkle to take down an elephant I made it clear to anyone who might want to get close that Shelly was off limits. That included every man here now. If she was the kind of woman who would have a man like us then I was the one she was going to have.
I drop Shelly off at the food line and go to find Tracker. He needs to know I’m taking Shelly home tonight and handle any fallout with his woman over it. Not that I’m expecting any.
Kerri knows I’ve been making sure no one bothers Shelly. Has to know why.
And she’s one of the few who never gave me any shit about it.
But when I find Tracker he’s got Kerri on his lap, one hand pressed tight and high between her thighs. He nods at me when our eyes meet, using his free hand to wave me over. “How’s it?”
I ease into the chair beside them. I hadn’t planned to have to explain the situation with Kerri here so I try to choose my words carefully. “Shelly wants to go for a bike ride so I told her I would take her home tonight.”
Tracker’s lips threaten a smile. “Is that right?”
Kerri blows out a loud sigh. “It’s about fucking time.” She points a finger right in my face. “She’s been a pain in the ass because of you,” the finger waves around, “and all your stupidness.”
“Stupidness?” I’m not sure what she’s getting at.
Her expression softens. “Not stupidness.” She blows out a breath. “I get it.” Kerri gives me a little smile. “Shelly’s a nice girl and I hope you know you deserve a nice girl.”
Deserve isn’t the issue. Then again maybe at the end of the day it is.
Can I deserve someone I’m not sure will be safe around me?
“Nice is the wrong word for what Shelly is.” Tracker shifts in his seat, brushing Kerri’s long blonde hair over her shoulder. “Nice isn’t what a man like us wants.”
Kerri’s brows shove together. “I’m nice.”
I almost laugh. Kerri is not nice. Nice is a word for people who are passive. People who always put others before themselves. People who don’t cut through traffic and always use their turn signals.
Kerri isn’t nice.
She’s faithful and loyal. Fierce and independent. Fearless.
And can be mean as hell.
But she’s also kind and thoughtful when it’s deserved. Warm and compassionate.
And the kind of woman who understands men like me and Tracker.
I ‘m scared Shelly is that kind of woman too. I already know she’s fearless and mean as hell. Stubborn and independent.
But I’m worried there’s more to her than that. Things that will make me want to forget the blood that runs in my veins.
Things I’ve never had.
Things I’d decided never to want.
But deep down I do want them, even if I can’t be trusted to have them.
If I’m not careful, Shelly will make me forget the promise I made myself.
Make me do terrible things to get what I shouldn’t have.
And commit awful sins to keep it if I do.
5
I’M READY TO get the hell out of here.
It’s almost midnight and I’m starting to get the feeling Hawk is having second thoughts about the offer he made me. He’s spent the past hour helping get Jill’s house back in order. Directing the younger guys in the room, making sure everything is wiped spotless and back where it belongs.
It’s sweet.
But I’m not looking for sweet right now.
I huff my way out into the backyard where Kerri is sitting beside the fire Butch started when the sun went down. I plop into the chair next to her and stare at the flames.
She lifts one blonde brow at me. “What’s wrong with you?”
“I’m ready to go home.”
“Then go.” Kerri lifts one shoulder. “Want me to have Evan take you?”
No I don’t want fucking Evan to take me. I want Hawk.
Shaun.
I turn to look over my shoulder through the windows and into the kitchen at the back of the house. Hawk is still working, being patient and careful as he makes sure all the other guys help.
But is it Hawk doing that?
I don’t think so.
I turn back to Kerri. “Why do you call him Evan instead of Tracker?”
Everyone calls him Tracker except for Kerri and her mom. Jill calls all the men by their given names.
But Kerri only calls Tracker by his. Everyone else she calls by their road names.
She shrugs. “Because that’s who he is to me.”
I wrap my arms across my chest, letting the palms of my hands run up and down my bare biceps as her words sink in. A few of the men mill around the yard, picking up trash and making sure chairs are put back against the house.
Are they all two separate people? On one side they’re the kind of men who take care of a mother who isn’t theirs and say plea
se and thank you.
And on the other they do...
Actually I don’t know what they do.
Did.
But I know enough about Kerri’s dad to know most of it wasn’t legal.
And some of it was probably violent.
Does Hawk have two sides too?
I brush the thought off.
What do I care if he does? I’m only interested in one of them.
The dangerous one. The one that shoves me against the wall and talks dirty in my ear.
That’s the one I like. The one I chased.
The one I instigated.
And it got me where I want to be.
Sort of. I am still stuck sitting in the dark swatting mosquitoes instead of getting everything he promised me.
“You ready?”
Hawk’s voice startles me, making me jump a little.
When I spin to face him he looks wary. Like he’s not sure I’m up for the challenge he presented hours ago.
Nope, nope, nope. He’s not backing out now. I jump up from my seat. “Very ready.”
His expression doesn’t change as he picks up the chair I vacated and carries it with him as we go. I turn and wave at Kerri.
She shakes her head at me.
Probably knows what I’m up to.
And lord knows if anyone wouldn’t blame me it’s her.
Hawk tucks the collapsible chair in line with the others before sliding open the door. Jill comes over to give me a hug. “I’m so glad you came.” She gives me a smile. “Will you be here again next week?”
“I hope so.” I glance at Hawk who is still giving me that look from before.
I swear to God.
His hand spreads across the small of my back. “Come on. Let’s get you home before you pass out.”
Oh no. “I’m not tired.”
“You sure about that, Kitten?” He leads me to a giant bike at the end of the row parked in front of Jill’s house. Hawk lifts the lid on one of the saddlebags and pulls out a shirt. He steps in close to me, reeling in the black fabric until it’s all tucked around the neck. He carefully eases it over my head then lets it fall around me. “Arms in.”
I can’t resist breathing deep as the smell of Shaun surrounds me. “Why do I need this?”
