  Myriah [mer-eye-uh] Sister to Ferrin. Lives in Rhowynn.

  Myron [my-run] Also known as Nostrils. Black Watch captain who helped Ferrin and Rae escape the White Tower.

  Nadeer [nuh-deer] In charge of the Elondrian longbowmen.

  Narri Lahorn [nar-ee/luh-horn] Youngest son of Tal.

  Nellana [nee-lah-nuh] Goes by Nell. Bek’s wife, who caught the plague. Healed by Zynora through magic.

  Nierdon [nee-air-dun] Ambassador to Keldor.

  Nilla [nee-luh] Adoptive mother of Ty. Wife of Kellen.

  Nora [nor-uh] Orlyn’s dead wife.

  Noreen Aboloff [nor-een/ab-oh-loff] Wife of Bue. Runs the East Inn.

  Nyalis [nee-al-is] Last of the Aero’set wizards.

  Ol’ Bleu [ol/blue] Taylis’ horse.

  Ol’ Lera [ol/lare-uh] Tameel’s name for their tinker wagon.

  Old Man Wyker [wick-er] Owns a distillery in Easthaven.

  Orin [or-in] Man whose family was stuck on street with the vulraaks. Lost his three children and his wife, Clara, who turned into a vulraak.

  Orlyn [or-lin] Member of the Easthaven Wielder Council. Apothecary. Floratide.

  Peryl [pare-ul] Bridge bandit who supposedly lost a tooth.

  Peyla [pee-luh] Easthaven baker’s wife.

  Piel [pee-el] Head butler to Overlord Barl.

  Pinon [pĭ-non] Peddler that Ferrin is sold to as a child by his uncle. Former captain in the Keldoran army.

  Po [poe] Street kid Ayrion grew up with. Second in command under Kira.

  Preece [prēce] One of the Warrens’ trackers.

  Rae [ray-uh] Healer in the White Tower. Mother of Suri.

  Raguel [rah-gool] Master painter who after the death of his wife turned to morbid depictions of humanity.

  Reevie [ree-vee] Childhood best friend of Ayrion.

  Reloria [reh-lor-ee-uh] Member of the Easthaven Wielder Council. Telasaro. Owns the Easthaven Sweet Shop.

  Ren [rĕn] Head of the Warren Clan Kaiwin. Weapons of choice are her commas. Won her seat by cutting off a man’s hand.

  Rhydan [rī-dun] Former High King of Elondria, dead.

  Roan [rone] Elondrian scout.

  Rona [rō-nuh] A girl Myron dated while he was young. She was as stubborn as a two-headed sniffer.

  Rowen [roe-win] Apprentice to Valtor. Has an ugly deformity on the side of his face.

  Rukar [roo-kar] Bulradoer. Well built. Dark skin with strong face. Always seen with a handful of weapons.

  Saleena [suh-lee-nuh] Physicker captured near Reed Marsh by the Black Watch.

  Saryn [sar-in] Overlord of Cylmar. Wages war against Elondria.

  Sedgewick [sej-wik] Younger brother of Amarysia. Nickname is Sedge or Howler. Aramoor street tribe chief.

  Selma [sell-muh] Bulradoer. Tall with straight brown hair and a long face. She has a nervous twitch in her left eye.

  Shade [shade] Ayrion’s black warhorse.

  Sheeva [shee-vuh] New member of Easthaven Wielder Council. From Duport. Short-cut blonde hair. Night walker. Invisibility. Assassin.

  Shilvin [shil-vin] Head of the Warren Clan Tabesh. Grows and sharpens the nails on his left hand. Missing little finger on left hand.

  Sil’foren [sil-for-in] Factory owner in Aramoor who uses street urchins as forced labor.

  Soren [sor-en] Black Watch rider under Captain Hatch.

  Sorna Blaudell [sor-nuh/blah-dell] Widow who has had her sights set on Orlyn for the last twenty years.

  Steffen [steff-en] Orin’s youngest son.

  Taylis [tay-liss] Little rover boy trying to find a doctor for his people, the Nathillians.

  Terris [tare-iss] Elondrian scout with scraggy hairy and beard. Broadsword. Slight country accent.

  Tess Lahorn [tess/luh-horn] Youngest daughter of Tal.

  Thistle [thiss-le] Adarra’s mare.

  Tibble [tib-ul] Old innkeeper who runs The Smelly Trout in Iraseth.

  Tiernan [tee-ear-nun] One of the heads of the four Warren Clans.

  Tillis [til-iss] A member of one of the Warren Clans.

  Tirana [tir-ah-nuh] Wife of Commander Tolin.

  Tolferd [toll-ferd] Head of the Warren Clan Bedar. He has a strong upper body, which lends well to his use of the axe. He is also the Warren’s executioner. Noted for severing limbs with only a single swing.

  Tolin [tol-in] Commander of the Elondrian Forces under King Rhydan.

  Tolvin [tol-vin] Bulradoer from Elondria.

  Tomas [tom-us] Dakaran’s head butler.

  Topin [toe-pin] Bulradoer.

  Townsend [town-send] Owner of BookBees book shop in Easthaven who lets Adarra come in and read free of charge.

  Trepin Odel [trep-in/o-del] Town cobbler.

  Tulvik [tul-vik] Wealthy lord who owns an estate north of the Tansian River.

  Ty [tī] Bearer of the Mark, adopted son of Kellen and Nilla. Brother to Breen and Adarra. Faeling.

  Valtor [val-tor] Birth name is Milo. [my-lo] Archchancellor of the White Tower.

  Veldon [vel-dun] Portmaster for Easthaven. Leader of Easthaven Wielder Council. Incidi.

  Viena [vee-en-uh] Lenara’s younger sister. A sweet spirit. Innocent and likeable. Murdered as a child by a wielder who was trying to escape a group of Black Watch.

  Waddle [wŏd-el] Ty’s horse.

  Widow Windel [win-dul] Crazy woman who dressed her pony in her husband’s suit and tried to marry him.

  Willem [wil-lem] Abiah’s son.

  Yorik [your-ick] Head of the Warren Clan Azdak. Killed his brother for his clan’s seat.

  Your Highness [yor/hi-ness] Kellen’s horse, a bit high spirited, chestnut in color.
