“Take that, whelp...” he growled.
He then shifted in human form, ran over to Kayla and freed her from her restraints.
“Hurry, let’s get back to the city,” Thrash commanded her.

Several weeks had passed and the news stories about the missing Leif Mandrake stopped circulating in the news. Kayla was backstage standing on the stage on the opening night of her world tour. Just as always, Thrash stood guard making sure no one crossed his path.
“Wish me luck...” Kayla purred, wearing a skimpy black bodysuit that accentuated her delicious curves.
“Screw luck, a talented gal like you doesn’t need luck,” Thrash growled. He then leaned her back, embraced her in his big bear arms and kissed her deeply. Kayla tried hard not to swoon, but dammit she couldn’t help it. She blew her werebear a kiss as she trotted towards the stage. She stopped, just for a second...
she wasn’t sure, but she noticed something flashing yellow in the dark and her heart skipped a beat.
..that is until it was just a golden glitter ball hanging on the stage.
KAY-LA! KAY-LA! The crowd cheered.
And Kayla knew she’d sing her heart out, because Thrash would be waiting for her, protecting her and forever keeping her safe.
