“Do I really have to answer this?” Liam moans.
“Yup! She asked, you answer. Is the concept of an interview confusing to you?” Miranda raises a brow. “I can explain further if you’re too dumb to figure it out.”
“Can you not be a smartass for like five seconds? That’d be great.”
“Oh my gosh! You mean I don’t have to be a smartass?!? No one’s ever told me that before! Frankie, did you know this?!?”
Noah and Frankie laugh as they watch Liam and Miranda fight.
“Ok, let’s just get this over with.” Liam grumbles. “Noah’s always had all the girls falling at his feet. When Frankie came, she seemed to want nothing to do with him. I guess I hoped she’d be a girl I could have. She’s awesome and I noticed right away.”
“Yeah, you can't have her. She’s all mine.” Noah tightens his hold on Frankie, kissing her gently on the cheek. “I won her heart long before she met you.”
“I know. I get it.” Liam mumbles.
“Stop it, Noah. You’re upsetting him.” Frankie whispers. “If I hadn’t met Noah first, I probably would’ve dated Liam.”
“Exsqueeze me?” Noah’s mouth falls open.
“What? He’s cute and such a sweetheart. I’d be stupid not to date him.” She shrugs her shoulders. “But it doesn’t matter because you stole my heart long ago, baby. I'm not asking for it back, it’s yours to keep.”
“Damn straight. Hear that, Liam? She’s still mine.”
