Soon, his eyes rested on a few familiar figures causing the corner of his lips to rise into that of a smile, “Oh, so this is where you all were… it looks like they’ve each gotten a great deal stronger…” Feng Yu muttered while gazing at the group that was being expelled, as if they sensed something, the group looked before them also becoming surprised upon seeing Feng Yu, a few of them revealing challenging looks while a small section of them had bright smiles on their faces, or more particularly a certain female…

“Young Master!” The loud and charming voice of Miren Fei could be heard as she happily looked at Feng Yu’s figure, not too far away from her was the figure of Dai Lin who also happily nodded towards Feng Yu, “Haha! I’m glad to see the Young Master doing fine!”

Feng Yu smiled and replied, “You both seemed to be doing well, I’m glad you all made it through safe…” As Feng Yu said this, both Miren Fei and Dai Lin became silent as their eyes became slightly dazed, Feng Yu seeing this felt strange as he could feel that something was a little different with them, but before he could say anything another voice sounded.

“Haha! How can all forget about me?!” A brutish laughter and familiar voice said, quickly, a robust looking figure could be seen beaming from behind them as if he was the last person to be swept up by the blue rays of light. His short silver hair flowing behind his head along with his prominent sideburns at the side of his rough chiseled looking face.

Miren Fei and Dai Lin seeing him became shocked as she exclaimed, “Lang Kuang? How did you get here?!”

Feng Yu seeing their reactions found it strange as he thought Lang Kuang was with them all along, but quickly Lang Kuang cleared up his confusion with his reply, “Heh! I’ve just arrived a bit later than you guys, I believe I was the last person to enter the Dragon Palace…”

As both Dai Lin and Miren Fei heard this, they couldn’t help but curse as they wondered what the hell he was doing all this time as he had not appeared, as they were about to ask him a series of questions the scene before them became white as they had now entered the region of pure white which connected the Dragon Palace’s exit.

Soon, all of the practitioners and individuals had now vanished behind the white lights leaving behind the silent and empty cosmic domain of this mysterious palace…

  Chapter 180

  Everyone’s Change, The New Dawnwing!

Swoosh! With the gust of a strong wind, the scene outside of the Dragon Palace instantly became livelier, as rays upon rays of lights flickered and appeared once more within this devastated set of fields. The rogue practitioners and various influential practitioners were now looking at the scene around with a variety of different expressions.

“Damn! If only I had a little more time…” One practitioner said as she slammed the ground with her two slender looking arms with a dejected look on her face, a few other practitioners also made similar curses as they failed to gain anything good from the palace due to their low points, despite being allowed entry due to Feng Yu’s competition with the Chosen Mission. Yet, as those few amongst the practitioners were complaining there were those among them who had scored big.

“Haha! It was definitely a trip worth my time!” A muscular looking rogue practitioner said as he hoisted a powerful looking broadsword into the air, a few others already tested their new weapons that had strange energies wrapped around, while those with battle skills only glanced at their various storage artifact with looks of excitement on their faces eager to practice those skills upon leaving the mystic realm.

The few surrounding practitioners who didn’t receive anything couldn’t help but look towards them with a hint of greed in their eyes, as the bolder ones began to emit a strong amount of killing intent. It’s as the saying goes, ‘bird will die for food, while men die for treasures…’ Quickly, a group of strong looking rogue practitioner surrounded the man who hoisted the large broad sword with a vicious glint in their eyes as they spoke in a cold tone.

“If you want to keep your life, we will say this only once, hand over the weapon!”

The man hearing this frowned as he looked at the group that surrounded him with a brutal look on his face before replying, “You want me to hand over my hard-earned efforts? Well here is my answer, get lost!” He shouted as he brandished the unique broad sword and glared at the trio that surrounded him.

As they saw his manner, the trio grew angrier but didn’t attack at once, as they gazed at each other for a short while before nodding their heads. Just as they were about to attack, a mechanical voice could be heard, “Fighting amongst yourself is prohibited before the Dragon Palace, anyone who does so will be punished by the penalty of death! You may save your squabbles for when you leave here!”

Upon hearing this voice, the practitioners soon became docile as the earlier tension vanished into the thin air.

“Chet! Just you wait…” The trio said, as they walked away from the man, as he saw them walking away the robust man strapped his sword behind his back and walked towards the corner of the field.

Quickly, another set of lights appeared until finally, no more lights appeared from the Dragon Palace, the moment this happened the massive doorway to the treasury became illusory before fading out of existence, leaving behind only the magnificent dragon palace.

Xun Yanshan and the other major alliance leaders quickly started to round up their various groups as they began to sort out their earnings in preparation for their departure, while the rogue practitioners started to gather around, forming small groups.

Feng Yu, who was now outside, glanced towards the location of his clansmen before scanning the ground for Dai Lin and the others. Quickly, he found their locations and started to walk towards them, as he drew closer, he couldn’t help but listen in on their conversation.

“You big brute, why did you not come to help out during the war against the fiends?!” Miren Fei asked Lang Kuang with an angry expression on her face, Dai Lin looked towards him curiously before asking, “I’m curious, what were you going?”

Lang Kuang hearing this scratched the back of his head while laughing silly before replying, “Hehe! Well, Let’s just say I had other plans… I was busy helping a race of beastkind to battle against some troublesome fiends in a place known as the Wild Zone. After succeeding in conquering their core of command, you could say that I have succeeded in befriending their kin, as such, I asked them for one request, and they had agreed to accept it…”

“Eh? What kind of request is it?” Miren Fei asked with a curious look in her eyes, Dai Lin also had a similar look on his face. Lang Kuang seeing this smiled cheekily and replied, “I asked for them to allow for a few individuals of which I am close with to join us in our battles in our world, they will be working for our forces as the first official new members of our Dawnwing!”

Dai Lin, Miren Fei, and even Feng Yu who was now almost beside them couldn’t help but glanced towards Lang Kuang in shock as they didn’t expect for him to have such meticulous thoughts, as if he was satisfied by their reactions he laughed and spoke, “What? Did you think I was a simple brute with no brain? Heh! I think about things far more than you both could ever imagine...”

Dai Lin hearing his words smiled and replied, “Lang Kuang, you have done a very good service, I have to say that you’ve gotten the best of this time…”

Miren Fei, on the other hand, glared at him and replied, “Big Brute, don’t get cocky now just because you scored lucky with those in need!”

“Hehe! I wouldn’t say I’ve scored any type of luck yet Miss Fei, why not help me to score some?” Lang Kuang said with a sly wink on his face, as Miren Fei heard this she rolled her eyes to the side turning her head away from soon noticing Feng Yu.

“Ah!” She screamed quickly covering her mouth with her two and hands and lowered her head in embarrassment, “Oh crap! He saw me behaving so uncoolly…”

Feng Yu seeing her reaction raised his brows and asked, “Miren, you don’t seem well are you alright?”

/>   “I… I am fine…” Miren Fei replied with her head held down, seeing this Feng Yu didn’t bother to pry any further then he looked at Lang Kuang and tapped his shoulder before speaking, “You did good Lang Kuang!”

“Haha! I thank Young Master Yu for his praise!” Lang Kuang replied with a big smile on his face, Feng Yu seeing this nodded before gazing at each of them and speaking, “I’m curious to see, how strong you’ve all grown…”

As Dai Lin, Miren Fei, and Lang Kuang heard these words, the atmosphere changed as a strange mood permeated their vicinity, the lights in each of their eyes glowing with a certain kind of sharpness. Suddenly, the auras of everyone began to emit from their bodies as it collided against each other creating ripples across the space as if they were four tides raging for supremacy across the broad seas.

However, this only lasted for an extremely short moment of time before their energies receded as Feng Yu gazed into the eyes of the trio with a look of surprise on his face; he thought to himself, “They changed so much, in such a short time span… to think that they had so much potential…”

As he thought to himself, his eyes swiped over Lang Kuang and Dai Lin for a moment as he muttered, “I didn’t think that they would both be able to give me a hint of dangerous intent… it looks like I’m not the only the one to have undergone a type of transformation in this realm…”

Dai Lin smiled in silence as he saw Feng Yu’s dazed expression while Lang Kuang confidently spoke up, “What do you think? Do you want to try my strength in battle Young Master?”

Feng Yu hearing this smiled and replied, “Haha… maybe next time Lang Kuang…” As he said this, he glanced at Miren Fei once again and found out that he couldn’t sense any sort of threat causing him to feel puzzled, “Is it that she didn’t improve, or could it be that her power is hidden at a place where I can’t sense it?”

After pondering for a short while, he shook his head and gestured towards them, “Come with me guys! It’s time for me to introduce you to our new members… also, Lang Kuang bring those people whom you recruited, we should use this chance to let everyone meet”

Lang Kuang hearing this was surprised but he soon bowed and replied, “Alright!” As he said this, his body flickered turning into a blurry white shade which rapidly went towards a distant location around the Dragon Palace. Dai Lin was also surprised as he muttered while following behind Feng Yu, “New members, these people should be quite interesting…”

Miren Fei promptly followed as she wondered about the status of these individuals, quickly they arrived beside two unusual looking individuals who were calmly resting at the edge of the fields. A muscular and youthful looking dwarfin with a shaved beard and bright orange hair along with a tiny little fairy with golden wings and bright blue eyes, as they saw Feng Yu bringing over a few individuals they both came over and spoke. “Chosen Yu, who are these kids?”

Feng Yu smiled before pointing his finger back and forth between the two groups as he spoke, “Allow me to introduce you! Leon, Myria, these two over here are called Dai Lin and Miren Fei, they are a part of my group known as Dawnwing. This is the group that you will be within the outside world as we travel and rise to the peak together…”

As they heard this, the looks on their faces became different as they sized up both Dai Lin and Miren Fei, after a while, Leon became stuck in his thoughts, “While I can’t say for sure what that man is, the scent within that girl is definitely beyond that of an average human… it’s almost as if… as if she came—” As Leon’s thoughts where about conclude, a loud noise soon after disturbed him.

Tum! Tum! Quickly, the sound of heavy steps came to a pause as three individuals appeared; it was Lang Kuang who stood directly before two large figures along with one slim and short figure. They were garbed in leather armor with swords by their waists and arrows placed in quivers strapped around their backs.

Looking closely at the two large figures one would notice that one had features of a woman that was well proportioned but muscular, her body was wrapped in stripes much like that of a tiger. While the other large figure was that of a male, whose face was that of a lion with a rough and muscular figure, his long mane flowing gently behind his head due to the surrounding winds giving one a feeling of pure wildness.

The last person was the smallest and slimmest individual; she wielded two common looking daggers and wore a cloak that shrouded most of her features revealing only a humanoid looking face with furry ears and strip markings.

“Huh? Beastkind…” Leon muttered as he saw the new arrivals, Myria also looked at them with a gaze filled curiosity as she asked, “Chosen Yu, who are they?”

Feng Yu having heard these words smiled before pointing towards them and speaking, “Let me introduce you all to another member of Dawnwing, his name is Lang Kuang, and these are his companions!”

“Haha! With pleasure!” Lang Kuang said as he walked over to the large Beastman and slapped his shoulders before speaking. “This guy here is called Toram! He is a skilled user of the sword and bows…” He then moved towards the large female beastkind and continued, “This lady here is called Tira! She is a close combat specialist and mostly uses her claws as her weapons… and lastly,” After saying this, he pointed towards the small figure and spoke, “This little one here is called…”

As Lang Kuang was about to introduce her, the small figure jumped forward and proclaimed, “Who are you calling little?! Hmph! This beautiful miss is called Tiana!”

“Puhei~” Dai Lin hearing this couldn’t help but let a reveal a snicker as he thought her personality to be a little cute, Miren Fei seeing this smiled as she saw her adorable antics while Feng Yu looked at her in interest. However, Lang Kuang currently had a bad expression on his face as it could be seen that he had quite a lot of trouble when dealing with this girl.

“Chet! You little brat, can’t you wait till I’m done speaking?” Lang Kuang yelled, Tiana seeing his reply stuck out her tongue before running behind the Toram and Tira.

“You…” Lang Kuang narrowed his eyes as saw this, but before he could do anything Toram and Tira made a courteous bow and spoke, “We thank the hero Wild Wolf for this chance!” They then looked towards Feng Yu and the others and spoke, “Our talents are not much but our child can more than make up for what we lack! It is our greatest pleasure to work for the Young Master!”

Feng Yu seeing their response smiled and spoke, “Good! From now on, we can be considered as one big family, welcome to Dawnwing!” As he said this, the winds of the surroundings changed as the bright lights from the horizon illuminated the figures of all those gathered here as if it was foretelling of the rise of something great coming…

  Chapter 181

A Rival’s Challenge! The Path of a True Expert!

After allowing the new members of Dawnwing the chance to get to know each other, Feng Yu soon after left the group to go see his father, uncle, and aunt. However, the moment he arrived on the side of his clansmen, he couldn’t help but feel that the mood was quite strange, as he didn’t feel so well, he quickly rushed towards one of the elders and asked. “What’s going on? Why are they like this?”

The elder seeing that it was Feng Yu shook his head and replied, “Sigh, Young Master Yu, it’s the clan miss…”

“Huh? What about my aunt?” asked Feng Yu in a surprised manner, the elder gritted his teeth and continued, “She’s gone…”

“She left…” Feng Yu muttered as he fell into a daze, he couldn’t help but recall their last exchange before he entered the Dragon palace, as he thought to himself, he sighed to himself while thinking, “So, this is what she meant by those words…”

He quickly cleared his thoughts and bowed towards the elder before moving towards his father and uncle, the elder seeing this sighed before continuing to sort out his equipment’s. Soon, Feng Yu arrived in the vicinity of Feng Yunlong and Feng Junling, but unlike the many clansmen their moods though low remained strong as they spoke to each other in a tone
of acceptance regarding Feng Xingyu’s current circumstances.

“It can’t be helped; she has been blaming herself for many years especially during the time of that siege to our clan in those years always seeking the slightest opportunity that would provide her a chance to increase her strength. I can’t even remember just how many body training manuals she’s ransacked just to find a way to increase her power…” Feng Yunlong said while looking at Feng Junling.

“Um” replied Feng Junling as he looked towards the sky with a profound gaze before continuing his words, “A wounded bird can only tread the earth, but once its injuries heal it will soar throughout the 9 skies, for it is a creature whose destiny remains in realms beyond the clouds…”

Feng Yunlong hearing this remained silent as his eyes showed a trace of missing, it was at this time Feng Yu arrived as he glanced at his father and uncle before speaking, “Father, Uncle, I don’t think we should worry too much for aunt, I believe that once she’s done she will naturally be able to return to us… and even if she can’t, there is no one that would be able to hinder us from finding her in the future…”

As he said this, a look of confidence came upon his face, Feng Yunlong and Feng Junling seeing this couldn’t help but smile in response as they felt the power of their newly awakened bloodline in their bodies. Feng Junling replied while gripping his fists, “Indeed it is so Yu child… our paths have after all only just entered its beginning…”

The trio became swept up in a new mood as if each of them could rise above the heavens and stand its peak unfettered by its myriad of constraints. However, this mood was quickly dispersed by a new change…
