Rock thought of a couple of the subs that he had stayed in contact with over the years until they had found the right Dom. He could understand exactly how those Doms felt. He could also understand why they would still be looking out for Kira. His little flower left an impression on everyone that she met.

“Any Master would understand that feeling, Carmen,” Rock said softly. It had taken some guts for Carmen to call him. “I absolutely give permission for you to invite them.”

“Oh thank you.” Carmen sighed heavily. “I didn’t want to have to tell them no. Neither are as intense as you are but honestly I thought about lying to them and just saying that you said no.”

“They would’ve known that you lied,” Rock said.

“I know, but calling you was scarier,” Carmen admitted.

“You have no idea how that pleases me, Carmen,” Rock said. He heard her quick intake of breath and laughed. “Anything else?”

  “No, sir,” Carmen said.

“Good,” Rock said and ended the call.

Rock went inside and saw that Kira had left the kitchen. He heard singing coming from the bedroom. He leaned against the door frame and watched his little flower put on her leathers for work. He found her so unbelievably sexy that it made his chest hurt. In a good way. She was belting out some song that he had never heard. From the words it was some vampire gothic type of song.

  “Little flower?” Rock asked.

Kira jolted and froze. “Don’t scare me like that,” she scolded as she clutched her chest.

“I need to leave so I’m not late.” Rock’s mustache twitched as she shook his finger at him. Then he smiled wide when she walked across the room and gave him a big hug.

“I wish you weren’t working overtime,” Kira said, pouting.

“It’s only a couple of hours and then I’ll be back,” Rock reminded her.

“Fine,” Kira huffed. “I guess I have work to do as well.”

“Be good and don’t spy on the neighbors too much,” Rock said as he kissed her forcefully before she could reply.

May First. Chad from UPS had delivered Kira’s final supplies for the party and he gave her a May Day basket.

Rock grinned as Chad begged for an invite to the party and then threatened to show up anyway. From what Rock had heard in town there were many people planning on coming whether they were invited or not. Rock was sure that Sam would have his hands full since he had volunteered to handle security details.

“Please, Kira,” Chad said, putting his hands together and getting on his knees. “I want to come so bad. Maybe I’ll find me a hot sugar daddy to take care of me the rest of my life. I could play dress up every day instead of wearing this brown uniform.”

“Oh my God.” Kira rolled her eyes. “Get off your knees. Fine. Jeez.”

“I want a blue band.” Chad stayed on his knees. “Not a cream colored one.”

Kira’s eyes widened and she looked at Rock. “How does anyone know about the wrist bands?”

“Everyone knows,” Chad continued, begging. “Blue you play, vanilla you stay.”

“This is a nightmare,” Kira said as she threatened to kick Chad with her stilettos if he didn’t get up. “Fine.”

“Guess who else wants a blue band?” Chad batted his eyes and placed his hand over his lips. “Mrs. Bonalla.”

  “The organist?” Kira asked.

Chad shrieked and nodded his head.

“She is the head of the quilting circle and plays for three churches every Sunday,” Kira said.

“I guess she plays something else, too.” Chad grabbed his groin area and with that Kira pointed him to the door.

“Out. Or I am removing blue band status,” Kira said firmly. She turned and looked at Rock. “Carmen was right. This is one of those things that I should’ve never decided to do.”

“But it will also be one of the most memorable moments of my life,” Rock said.

“What else is on that list of memorable moments?” Kira asked.

“The way you came for me in the shower the first time we did anything,” Rock said. “The way you let me force orgasm after orgasm from you. The first time I took that tight little ass.”

Kira plugged her ears as she blushed. “Okay, I get it.”

“Gotta go, babe,” Rock said as he pushed away from the island and Kira cleared his plate. She gave him a big hug and he snuggled in the scent of her hair. He had deliberately used his shampoo in her hair before bed last night so that she would catch faint smells of him all day.

Rock stopped at the door as he heard a large diesel pull into the driveway.

“Master don’t go yet!” Kira called from the dining room.

“Is something wrong?” Rock asked. He was immediately at Kira’s side.

“They will be more respectful if you are here.” Kira huffed and folded her arms across her chest as the tandem truck backed up to the shop. An older pick-up had stopped in the driveway. “Well Jace is always fine but sometimes Tony can be scary.”

Rock watched as two blond men appearing to be early to mid-twenties jumped out of the trucks. The shorter one walked over to the tandem truck and they both grabbed brooms from inside the back of the truck and started to sweep it out. Rock turned to Kira.

“It’s the twins and they haven’t met you yet,” Kira explained. “If Jace meets you he will keep Tony in line for sure. Doms helping Doms thing.”

“They are twins?” Rock asked, looking at the way the one man was at least four or five inches taller than his brother.

“No,” Kira said. “They are just called the twins because they both have blond hair, blue eyes and have lived together forever. The shorter one is Anthony or Tony, his parents died in a boating accident when he was four. Jace’s parents took him in and adopted him. Jace is older by two years or something but the parents were friends long before the kids came around. Jace’s parents passed away about five years ago. Natural causes.”

“You’ve done work for them before?” Rock said.

  Kira nodded her head.

“Have they ever been rude?” Rock asked.

  Kira shook her head.

“Then what’s the problem?” Rock asked.

  “I’ve heard rumors,” Kira said.

“Like the rumors about you?” Rock asked and leveled his gaze at her.

Kira cringed. “You are absolutely right. That was awful of me.”

“They probably want an invite to the party,” Rock said. “If they are as close as you say they are, then they should probably get the blue wrist bands.”

“They aren’t gay,” Kira said and she chuckled.

“They are probably tag-teamers,” Rock said lifting his eyebrows.

  “That’s the rumor,” Kira said.

A knock at her door. Firm but polite. Rock took his seat at the kitchen island and waited.

Kira motioned for the two to come in.

“Ms. Knudson, we swept out the back of the truck best we could,” a deep tenor sounded from the entry.

“Come in and meet Rock,” Kira said.

The six foot man with a charismatic smile and warm charm was the first in the dining room followed by the six foot five inch guy who seemed to go out of his way to give Kira her space. The bigger guy had longer hair that curled around his neck and would’ve fallen into his eyes if he hadn’t combed it back. He looked like he had come straight from a surfing competition or a Viking war boat. Rock couldn’t decide which. Rock understood why Kira might feel intimidated between the two of them.

“I’m Anthony Hanson, call me Tony,” the shorter, tenor-voiced one said as he shook Rock’s hand.

“Jace Kline,” the bass voice sounded in the kitchen as the enormous Swede held out his hand.

Rock studied Jace as he took a seat as far away from Kira as he could without retreating into the living room. Definitely the Dominant. He didn’t want to intimidate Kira with his size so he sat at the table instead of the island. Rock
nodded slightly to Jace and he nodded back. The big guy was the Dominant but he was also soft-hearted. He knew what he was and how he intimidated Kira so he hung back and let his buddy do the talking. That was a good Dom.

“So this is the Master Rock?” Tony asked. “I’ve heard rumors. They probably are more truth than lies. That’s how things tend to go in these parts. My apologies for the local wildlife.”

“So far the wildlife has been rather tame.” Rock smirked as Kira’s mouth dropped open.

Tony laughed easily and Rock could see that he was not the Dominant that Jace was but maybe a sadist as he seemed to enjoy her discomfort around Jace. Tony probably wouldn’t think twice about trying to intimidate Kira but she lacked something that he needed.

“Yes, this is my Master,” Kira admitted and blushed beautifully.

“Well we are the infamous twins,” Tony said. He looked at Jace and held up his hands. “Let’s be honest here. No, we aren’t gay. We just like to share and we want invitations to the party.”

“Well that seems about as honest as they come, little flower,” Rock said, looking at Tony. There was no lie in his words. Rock figured that Tony felt like Kira. Might as well come out of the closet with the rest of the pack and finally embrace the rumors.

“Blue bands for both of you,” Kira said and then saw their confused looks. “It means that you are part of the BDSM crowd and can play if you find a willing partner.”

Jace nodded his head and Tony smiled widely.

“We haven’t been laid in years,” Tony teased.

“I heard about you two and Barbara Yellow Tail from Mandaree,” Kira retorted. “That was just last year.”

“Are you kidding me?” Tony shouted. Kira flinched. Rock stood. Tony held his hands in the air. “Easy, Master Rock. I just got excited that a rumor would ruin my reputation.”

“It’s okay, Rock,” Jace said in his slow Northern drawl. “Tony has spent a couple of nights at the wrong end of a Dominant’s fist for intimidating a sweet little subbie. It’s been three years since his last mess up and I doubt that he wants his pretty face messed up on account of your lovely lady. He’s just expressive.”

Rock turned to look at Jace who had stood silently and was giving Tony a warning look. Jace sat back down and Rock followed. Kira didn’t need this type of confrontation in her kitchen.

“So who is Barbara?” Rock asked Kira.

“Barbara said that she had great fun with both of them,” Kira said. “That’s all.”

“We didn’t do anything with her,” Tony said. “She chickened out when she…”

Rock noticed that Tony had looked at Jace.

“She didn’t like my physique,” Jace said simply.

“I heard that rumor, too,” Kira said and then she slapped her hand over her mouth. “That was so rude, Jace. I’m sorry.”

“I heard you grow pot,” Jace said slowly.

Rock saw that Jace was taking the same approach that any Dominant would with a submissive in the room. He was calm, teasing, and friendly. Rock liked that. He also liked that Kira’s eyes kept focusing on Rock’s shoulders. She was trusting her Master.

“I don’t grow pot,” Kira said, blushing. “I run the Caged Kitty and make versatile household furniture.”

  Tony howled his laugh.

“Well good,” Jace said and laughed. “I am comfortable with my physique.”

“So what brings you inside?” Kira asked. “Besides the invitation. You guys usually just drop stuff off and pick it up.”

  “We need help,” Jace said.

“We’re almost done calving but we aren’t done planting and the house is already thrashed. We can’t find time to get our laundry done and Jace isn’t the best cook in the world,” Tony said.

“We need to hire someone to stay at the house,” Jace said. “Cooking, cleaning, light chores and they can’t have some other job because our schedules are hectic.”

“We thought that you might know someone,” Tony said. “With guests from out of town, we thought they might know someone. We need the person to start right away.”

“Gender doesn’t matter though I’d rather see a woman barefoot in the kitchen than some scruffy hairy-toed man,” Jace admitted. “We need the person at least until harvest is over but we’re willing to go a full year and then keep up employment if they work out.”

Kira thought about it. She didn’t know anyone right off hand but she could certainly ask around. “Older? Younger?”

“Older,” they both said at the same time.

“I don’t want to have my picture posted on Facebook as some girl’s BFF,” Tony huffed.

“Gotta be over thirty,” Jace agreed. “I want professional and courteous. Someone who doesn’t feel the need to go into town and party every night.”

“That’s sure not asking for much,” Kira teased. “Anything else?” She thought for sure they were going to ask for someone who liked threesomes but neither of them said anything.

“Room and board included,” Tony said. “They’d have to live at the house.”

  “I’ll ask around,” Kira said.

“Good enough,” Jace said and stood. He clapped Rock on the back and then shook his hand again. “Congratulations and good luck with Kira.”

Rock nodded his head and smiled. He noticed that Jace didn’t approach Kira and stayed near the wall. Rock liked that. Tony followed Jace out the door and then called out for Kira to call his cell when the frame was fixed.

“I know you have to leave now,” Kira said as Rock stood. “Thanks for staying though. I’m glad they got to meet you.”

“Has Jace always tip-toed like that around you?” Rock asked.

“Yes,” Kira said thoughtfully. “He’s pretty private, doesn’t say much, but doesn’t want to intimidate anyone. Well, wait.” Kira tapped her chin. “I take that back. He doesn’t back away from Michelle, Melissa, or Mrs. Bonalla. I guess he kind of stays back from me and Carmen. Casey, too. She’s a submissive from Omaha. You’ll get to meet her this weekend and if you thought Jace was big…”

“There’s someone bigger than Jace?” Rock asked.

“Bear is enormous,” Kira said. “He’s bigger than Michael Clarke Duncan was by an inch or two. That’s who he reminds me of though. Voice, color, build and everything.”

“Casey is that petite red-head?” Rock asked, raising his eyebrows. He’d remembered the pale woman from pictures on Kira’s Facebook page. “He’d crush her.”

“I asked him about it once and he said that she’s the reason he got into BDSM.” Kira laughed.

  “The reason?”

“He had to be able to tie her up and secure her so he didn’t squash her or lose her.” Kira laughed. “He compares her to a baby bunny in the Bear’s cave. Calls her cub.”

  “Bear’s cub,” Rock said.

“Cute huh?” Kira said. “I’m Rock’s flower and no rock I’ve ever heard of could grow a flower so I must be one tough little plant.”

“An invading weed.” Rock kissed Kira hard before she could retort. Then he walked out the door.

Two weeks to the party and Rock found Kira on the deck again, watching her back property through what appeared to be a new pair of binoculars. He shook his head. She had given him reports every evening on the activity behind her tree line.

“I’ve figured out what that structure is,” Kira said without looking Rock’s direction.

Rock smiled at how in tune she was to his every movement. “What is that structure?”

“Airplane hangar,” Kira said. “Fuel pumps were put in last week and the landing strip is being finished this week.”

Perceptive little flower. She was definitely a stalker. Rock considered that he may have to work on her spying if they ever got more neighbors. She was definitely voyeuristic and that could be offensive to people who didn’t know that they were being watched. Maybe the party would relieve some of her voyeuristic needs. Even if it did, he was
still going to talk to Bear about getting himself and Kira into Bear’s club. It would be a nice break for both of them to play in public.

Kira jumped down from the railing and came inside. She served Rock his breakfast and continued talking about the developments of the neighbors. She then brought him up to speed on the people that had RSVP’d. She had someone coming to mow down the area by the barn for parking and there were going to be several RVs coming so the electrician was wiring a special spot for hookups.

“Planning on having the party every year?” Rock asked. He already knew that she was planning just that.

“If all goes well that is the plan,” Kira admitted. “The tent guys are coming next week. We are having six of them. One for mingling of both people. That should be interesting. It’s where the food is going to be served and near the Porta Potties. Then two more for the vanilla crowd from town for games and such. Then the other three will be for the blue crowd and lead further back to the Quonset.”

“By the end of this party no one will care about the color of the bracelets,” Rock said.

Kira smiled at Rock. “That’s the point, Master.”

  * * * *

One week later, Kira stared at the sky. The neighbor’s airplane had circled twice and she was seriously going to have a word with the damn owner before her party started. She didn’t need eighty-year-old guests getting buzzed by a reckless pilot. She also didn’t need a reckless pilot crashing into her party.

Rock flew the plane close enough to see his little flower stomp into the house. Better put it away. He waited until his cell phone chirped. Gunner had texted him the all clear, meaning that Kira had gone inside and couldn’t see his truck pull onto the highway. The plan forming in his mind was as genius as it came for him and he couldn’t wait until he saw the expression on her face.

  * * * *

Gunner sat in Kira’s kitchen. He had agreed to meet with his caseworker.

“His home is a sterile environment,” Kira reminded the woman again. “He won’t let anyone inside. I won’t give permission for anyone to come inside.”
