“The integrity of the structure needs to be checked,” the woman said and Kira rolled her eyes.
“It’s government made. You guys built it. I’m sure it’s fine,” Kira said.
“The structure is 99.1 percent stable. There is a .9 percent chance that any underground structure will fail,” Gunner said in his robotic voice. He looked at Kira and attempted to smile.
It was getting better but still needed work. Kira reached to Gunner and pinched his upper cheeks. “These muscles need to contract upward.” Then she pinched his upper lip. “Not these.”
Gunner tried again and his lips started to make smacking sounds so Kira touched his forearm and his stilled. He looked at her.
“That was good work, soldier.” Kira gave him the compliment he had been seeking.
“You look eatable,” Gunner replied.
“I look nice, like a fruit you want to eat but not eatable,” Kira smiled so warmly at Gunner even the stonefaced caseworker had to chuckle. “I look nice.”
“You look nice,” Gunner said in his monotone voice.
“Good, now add my name,” Kira said.
“You look nice, Kira,” Gunner said in the same flat tone.
“Thank you,” Kira said. “You look nice as well.”
“As well as what?” Gunner asked, flat as ever.
“As well as a huge bottle of blackberry brandy that better not be opened until you are back inside your house,” Kira said as she handed over the bottle with a bow on the top.
“That looks nice,” Gunner said. He took off the bow and looked at it. “Black is a nice color.”
“Why do you like black?” Kira asked knowing his answer already due to his surveillance system.
“Black hides no light,” Gunner said. “It doesn’t hide things.”
“Gunner,” Kira commanded his attention. “Time to go home.”
“Yes, ma’am,” Gunner said. He saluted her and left.
Kira shrugged her shoulders at the caseworker and then answered her questions for the next two hours. She was used to the drill. Gunner was an asset yes, but a liability as well. Kira tried to keep it in check but she could do only what she could do.

Rock waited. Hovering. He heard his cell phone ring. He answered.
“All clear,” the robotic voice said and hung up.
“Hang on people,” Rock said. “We are going in.”
The passengers in the plane squealed as Rock buzzed Kira’s house. The second time he did it he saw her on the porch. She shook angry fists at him and he breathed a sigh of relief. She could’ve been holding a rocket launcher in her hands, or any of the other fancy instruments of destruction that she had locked in the vault, but instead his little flower was only giving him the bird. Double fisted bird.
“One more,” Rock said as he buzzed the house again. His cell phone rang.
“May Day, May Day,” Gunners voice was cool as a cucumber. “The subject has opened the garage door. The subject is heading past the first garage…”
Gunner continued to give the play-by-play action as Rock touched the plane down, secured it in the hangar and helped his guest disembark from the devious mission.
“…damage to the front of the subject’s truck may have been sustained,” Gunners voice continued. “The subject just broke through the barrier.”
Rock laughed. Gunner was referring to the straw bale barrier Kira had created when construction had just been started and she didn’t want anyone using her road.
“Over and out,” Gunner replied and the line went dead.
Rock looked at his guests. Carmen couldn’t stop hopping up and down. Casey and Steve were smiling from ear to ear and finally Olivia and Charles were looking just happy to still be alive.
Kira pulled her truck dangerously close to the crowd and then started registering her thoughts as she climbed out toting a samurai sword on her back, a pair of pistols strapped to each thigh and another throwing knife on each boot.
Everyone in the group held up their hands.
“Rock?” Kira asked and blinked her eyes. “Carmen?”
“I had to fly in the reinforcements,” Rock said as he looked at his passengers and then at Kira.
“You bought this land?” Kira asked. “You knew I wanted it, Rock. Why?”
“For us,” Rock said as he approached his little flower. His ever-ready Marine. His love.
“For us?” Kira asked.
“Already planted your lilac row,” Rock said as he pointed to the tree line.
Kira followed Rock’s finger and saw the new trees that had been planted. Rock wiped the tears from Kira’s face.
“No little flower of mine is going to be crying when I propose to her,” Rock said as he pointed to the ground.
Kira dropped to her knees and was happy when Rock kneeled with her and leaned his forehead to hers.
“Kira Knudson,” Rock said softly. “I want to be your husband as well as your Master. Will you accept both?”
Kira choked when Rock opened a small velvet box with an engagement ring inside. It was huge and beautiful. Then Rock set another black box before Kira’s knees. “This box can only be opened if you accept me as your Master.”
“I do, Rock.” Kira was crying. Her anger was gone. “Master Rock, you want to collar me? For real? Forever?”
“Until death do us part.” Rock smiled at her.
Olivia had moved Charles and his walker closer to the kneeling couple.
“I am an ordained minister and I can do the collaring as well,” Charles offered.
“I believe that Kira wants the white dress,” Rock said.
“I do,” Kira said, smiling at Rock.
Rock leaned over and whispered. “You need one before the weekend is over.”
Kira looked at Rock and saw that immovable core that had attracted her to him in the first place and she couldn’t argue. “Yes, Master.”
“Call me Rock until we are bound as one,” Rock whispered softly.
“That won’t feel right,” Kira whispered back.
“I know,” Rock said. “I want you to feel the lack of a Master until then. And then when you look at me I will know that it is everything I hoped for in a pretty little flower. My pretty little flower.”
“You want to get married, too?” Kira whispered. Her heart thudded against her chest so hard that she was sure Rock could hear it.
“Sometimes what you want and what you need are two different things,” Rock said softly. He slipped the engagement ring on Kira’s finger. “Sometimes what you want and what you need are exactly the same things. The same things I want. The same things I need.”
Rock pulled the velvet boxes away from Kira. He knew that what she wanted, more than her next breath, was in the other box and he wasn’t going to give it to her. Not yet.
Chapter 16
Rock and Kira gave up their bedroom on the main floor for Olivia and Charles. Charles couldn’t stop talking about the beautiful work Kira did and Olivia was ever watchful of him as he moved around the farm. She commented every now and again, letting him talk and letting him know that she was listening. Kira smiled and wondered what it would be like when her Rock was as old as Charles.
Carmen and Casey were wonderful helpers as they organized the Quonset and roped off areas for play. Steve, “Bear” as Casey called him, and Rock offered suggestions to the ladies and ended up doing the heavy lifting.
“Olivia is beautiful,” Casey whispered to the other two girls when the boys were out of earshot. “Those eyes. I forgot I wasn’t gay.”
Kira giggled remembering her own encounter with the woman. “I had that exact same reaction to her. Powerful Domme.”
“So what is she doing with an old man like Charles?” Casey asked.
“I got the scoop on that,” Carmen said and lowered her voice to a whisper. “She’s more of a Mistress actually. She likes the subs that don’t have much time left so that she can make sure she takes care of their
every single need until they die. She’s a hospice RN when she’s not wielding whips and chains.”
“So if Charles loses control of his bowels?” Casey asked.
“It would please her to make sure he stays clean and comfortable,” Carmen said. Carmen looked around and made sure that no one was listening. “I wonder if she can look into our souls because she has been with so many people when their soul leaves the body.”
“Don’t start with Santeria again,” Kira said. She hated arguing religion with Carmen. It was one of the things that they never did agree on.
“So Olivia is a compassionate person, too,” Casey said, changing the subject.
“People at the club in Tampa beg her, men and women, to play with them,” Carmen said, nodding her head.
Back at the house, Carmen, Kira, and Casey were preparing the evening meal. Charles had a basket on the front of his walker and was helping to set the table.
Kira glanced to the front door where Steve, Rock and Olivia were talking. They came in the house and were followed by Jace, Tony, Sam and another man in uniform.
“Seven,” Carmen whispered.
Kira realized that she and the three other subs had huddled in the corner by the oven.
“Just stay behind me ladies,” Charles said as he shook his walker.
“Oh yeah, that’ll help,” Carmen teased.
“With this walker I am better than Gandalf with his staff,” Charles said.
Kira giggled picturing Charles kick ass on seven Dominants.
“Are they all really big or is it just me?” Casey asked.
“Yours is the biggest one over there,” Carmen pointed out.
“But did he grow?” Casey giggled.
“I think he’d collapse in on himself he got any bigger,” Charles joined the banter.
Kira choked on a laugh trying not to draw any attention to the group. She closed her eyes in defense. Maybe they would go away if she couldn’t see them. Kira pressed against Casey and shrunk further behind the walker-wielding Charles.
“Oh God,” Carmen choked.
Kira’s eyes flew open and she peeked around Charles shoulder. Jace had leveled his eyes at the cowering group. Kira was reminded of a wolf getting into the chicken coop. A slow smile spread on his face and he pulled on Steve’s sleeve.
Casey squirmed further behind Charles.
“I got this. I got this,” Charles said to the women behind him though his voice wavered slightly when Olivia turned her gaze on him.
Carmen snorted and then ducked further behind Charles when Sam turned around.
“Olivia, I do believe your sub must be the masochist of the bunch,” Tony spoke first.
“Hands off, Anthony,” Olivia teased back. “He’s also a complete gentleman.”
“He has to be or you would’ve torn his balls off a long time ago,” Rock added.
“I’m sorry for your balls later, Charles,” Carmen whispered.
“My balls,” Charles whispered, sounding dignified. “Are in my stomach right now, ladies, so we are fine.”
Casey and Kira giggled. They were now nearly on top of each other as they tried to hide behind Charles’s pant legs.
“I’ve never heard Carmen quiet for so long,” Sam said. “I’m kind of liking this Dominant thing.”
Carmen lashed out loudly. “Somewhere there’s a crosswalk missing its guard.”
Kira reached over to cover Carmen’s mouth and fell forward onto Carmen, accidently pushing Casey off balance. Casey fell into the back of Charles knees. Charles teetered for a second.
“We’re going down!” Charles said as Casey tried to get herself up to help the falling Charles.
Kira huffed as Charles landed on her and she flattened Carmen.
Carmen giggled and Charles started laughing as well. Casey’s head popped between Charles legs.
“Good thing your balls were in your stomach,” Casey teased, looking right between the man’s legs.
Four pairs of hands reached down and pulled their subs from the giggling pile.
“Such chivalry,” Olivia said to Charles as she easily pulled him up and smacked his ass, “should be rewarded.”
“Thank you, Mistress,” Charles said.
Kira laughed as Casey was easily tossed over Steve’s shoulder and received two smacks on her ass. Then Rock lifted Kira to her feet and kissed her forcefully. Finally Carmen was pulled off the floor by Sam. He was in uniform and had a set of cuffs dangling from a finger.
“One more word, missy, and I’ll have you for obstruction of justice.” Sam then added softly, “I am still on duty.”
Carmen closed her mouth and pouted.
“Too bad there wasn’t a couple more in that pile,” Tony teased Rock as he held up his empty hands.
Casey whispered something to Steve and he nodded his head.
“You two,” Casey said firmly, startling Kira, Charles and Carmen. Casey pointed at Jace and Tony. “I think, through the grapevine and a network of internet contacts, I may have found you a couple of potential employees. I’ll grab my laptop and get your opinions.”
All the Dominants in the room looked at Steve and his belly laugh made the cupboards rattle.
“She doesn’t talk that way to me,” Steve explained. “She has to handle applications at my club, The Cave, so she can be a Domme when she needs to be. Sweet little cub.”
After a couple minutes talking with Casey, Tony and Jace left. Sam said that he needed to get going as well but he had the permits Kira needed for the party.
“Couldn’t get you the license to sell liquor,” Sam said softly. “It’s going to have to be a bring your own or an open bar.”
“I figured as much,” Kira said. “That’s fine. I was prepared for that. Most of the BDSM crowd limits themselves and their subs so that will be fine. I just didn’t want the vanilla crowd driving home drunk and I can’t monitor everyone.”
“That’s why I brought him,” Sam said to the other officer in the room.
The man still looked a little stunned by the way the subs had been smacked, rewarded, reprimanded, and kissed.
“He heard rumors about the party,” Sam said softly. “He had been interested in this type of stuff and he came to me because people have been talking about me and Carmen.”
“Sam, I’m sorry,” Kira said, shaking her head. She hadn’t wanted any negative reaction to people that had decided to be her friend.
“It’s okay.” Sam shrugged. “Michelle and Melissa are doing fabulous damage control. Michelle is probably submissive. I can notice that now. Melissa just wants to beat her husband.”
Rock moved Kira out of the way and finally convinced Sam to send the other officer home. Sam stayed. His shift was more than over.
The subs were finished serving the food and waited to be invited as they stood at the kitchen island. Four Doms eating at the table.
“Does this look ominous to anyone else?” Charles asked.
Kira noticed the cushions positioned under the table and at the feet of each Dominant.
“Three subs have earned a punishment for not expecting their Dominants to protect them. Though it’s not much of a punishment knowing how teasing and torturous the subs can be,” Rock said. “One sub has earned a reward for defending the group despite the threat of losing his balls.”
“Mistress?” Charles asked. “Oh thank you, thank you.” He moved his walker to the table and Olivia helped him to his knees and under the table. She hiked up her skirt and Charles was singing muffled praises to her pussy.
The other three quickly followed under the table. The men pulled their pants down and continued the conversation as they ate. The soft sounds of sucking could be heard from under the table.
Rock was grinning. Perfect punishment. Sam hadn’t wanted to hurt Carmen but a free blowjob nearly made his eyes pop out of his head. Casey had needed the push to go further after her husband’s death and she had done all sorts of kink with Steve before she had met her now-deceas
ed spouse. Kira needed to get back into the mode of having people look at her and see her in public since she hadn’t done anything sexual in public for over a year. Finally, Olivia rarely gave herself over to getting her pussy eaten and Charles loved doing it. It was a win for everyone in the room.
Olivia came first. “Sorry guys, he loves the cream and as we agreed he should be rewarded.”
Kira heard Charles tell Olivia how much he loved her as he continued to lick on her. It was Sam next. He groaned and Carmen giggled as she continued to tease him. Kira loved the sexy sounds, the smells and the heat from Rock’s penis in her hands and in her mouth. She received the tap on the back of her head, covered the tip of his cock with her tongue and sucked out every last drop.
“Kira?” Rock held out the towel and Kira just took it. She was breathing heavy, eyes lidded.
“Sorry I swallowed,” Kira whispered.
Rock pulled Kira from under the table and set her in his lap. She snuggled up against him and smiled.
“Did she touch herself?” Steve asked as he pulled Casey from under the table.
“Hands on me at all times,” Rock said, looking down at her. Her breathing was returning to normal.
Cuddled up to Sam, Carmen spoke up. “That’s her not-needing-to-be-touched thingy. She was in the moment. The sounds, the smells, the Master. Her mind got her off just like when she has those dreams.”
Olivia shook her head in disbelief. “She had to have rubbed on something.”
“She was just shivering,” Charles said guiltily. “I like watching so I watched as I finished tasting you, Mistress.”
“I didn’t see anything either,” Casey said. “If Master said it was a punishment she wouldn’t try to get herself off. Crash and burn offense.”
“I can hear all of you talking about me like I am a freak,” Kira said. She buried her head in Rock’s firm bicep and gripped his shoulders.
“And now we know that Carmen was right,” Olivia said as she kissed Charles.
“No one thinks that you are a freak,” Rock said.
Kira heard the people around the table as they all said that she was fine and didn’t do anything wrong. She pulled her head out of Rock’s arm and looked around the table. Nothing but love and understanding.
