I didn’t want to argue with him about it. However, I knew there was always the possibility. Although with my condition, I only ovulated every few months, so the chances were slim. “It did feel good,” I whispered. Then I closed my eyes as he held me tightly and stroked my hair while his cock gently drove in and out of my pussy.

“God, I love you so much, baby,” he breathed. Then he picked up his pace slightly.

I gasped loudly when the head of his cock caressed my sweet spot. Then he did it again, and I moaned even loader. Once more, and I screamed while I trembled and tensed within.

“Mmmm, yeah.” Chad moaned. “Oh, so good, baby.” He kissed my lips. “You’re body’s so perfect for me.”

He continued to make love to me slowly. We both gasped and sighed often, as we clung to each other. His random kisses and loving words created such a romantic setting. He was never like that before the accident. So much about him was different, so much better.

Then he gently ground his hips into mine. He barely touched my cervix because of my position but still made me feel amazing. I quickly grabbed his arm. “Chad… Chad… Oh Chad!” My hips shifted as my head went back with the strong orgasm.

“Baby… I’m… almost… there.” He pressed his lips to mine. Then he moaned into my mouth, while he pushed my thighs further apart with his hips. “Uh… God… baby!” Then I cried out his name as he unloaded into me. Spasms overwhelmed me. “Baby, damn it feels so… Oh God!” His cock continued to spurt as I dug my nails into his skin with my good hand.

It had felt just as good to me. I couldn’t let him go. That was how powerful the simultaneous orgasm had affected me. Tears fell from the raw emotion between us. Chad didn’t move as we both breathed heavily. Relief emanated from us both, for more reasons than one.

  “Baby, I love you.”

  “I love you too.”

“There’s nothing like that in the world you know. I feel like we’re so much more a part of each other now.”

I looked up at him and realized how many times we thought I could be pregnant. Reality crashed down on me. “What if I’m infertile?”

“Huh?” Chad met my eyes. “Why would you say that?”

“Because…” I bit my trembling lip. “Because… we had so many accidents, and I never get pregnant. Maybe I can’t.” My whole body shook. The thought made my heart ache. “What if I can’t give you children? I’m sorry.”

He quickly adjusted his body and hugged me tightly. “Shh. Don’t think like that. It’s not true.”

“You don’t know that!” I cried out.

“After your leg heals, we can go to a fertility expert and get tested. Maybe it’s me and not you.”

  Chapter 46

Chad and I had just gotten home from a date at the movie theater on a Saturday in Mid-March. Still in the van, he stared at Chris’ car in the driveway. “He went on a date too. Guess it didn’t go well.”

  “Or too well.” I laughed.

When we walked inside, Chris sat on the couch as he watched television with a pretty blonde. Chris grinned as he hit the pause button. “This is Kelli.”

“Nice to meet you.” I smiled and shook her hand. It was nice to finally meet a girl before Chris fucked her. “I’m Crystal.” I tried to shed my jacket, but it got stuck. Chad helped me as always.

Kelli’s mouth opened in surprise. “You’re Crystal Atkinson, aren’t you?”

“Um.” I was a bit taken aback. I assumed she was a groupie. “Uh, yeah.”

She looked at Chris, Chad then back at Chris. “You didn’t tell me you were Chris from Triple Threat.” She playfully smacked his arm. “That’s why Tommy Fischer was talking to you after I turned him down?”

“You turned Tommy down?” Chad laughed. “Damn, he musta been pissed.”

“He was trying to prove he could get any girl.” Chris smirked. “I kinda warned her about the bet.”

Kelli ran a hand through Chris’ hair. “And I was the bartender that night. I would’ve gotten fired for handing out my number. But I had my eye on Chris way before Tommy opened his mouth. I’ve heard you guys on the radio.” She looked into his eyes. “You have a beautiful voice.”

“Thanks,” Chris quietly responded then kissed her lips softly.

I was shocked. He seemed to really like her. He never acted that way with any other girl he screwed. They still just looked at each other when Chad brought me water and a vitamin I took at night.

“Um, Crystal.” Kelli hesitated. “I’m very sorry for your loss. It’s great that you have Chad. He seems like an awesome best friend.”

I looked up at him and wondered if I should explain we were more than friends. “Well, Kelli. We’re kinda… We’re…Uh…”

I didn’t know how to put it. Everything sounded as if I cheated on my dead fiancé in my head. Even when we went to the church to set a wedding date days prior, I couldn’t let the guilt go. The priest was kind and understood. He said a June wedding was perfect. I hoped I could walk by then.

Chad ran his fingers through my hair. “Baby, let it go. He wanted this.”

“But, what’s she gonna think of me?” I whispered as I lay my head back on his chest.

He sighed. “Since when do you care what anyone thinks about you?”

“That’s a beautiful ring,” Kelli suddenly said. “You guys are cute together. Friends make the best husbands you know.”

I quickly turned to her. “You don’t think it’s cruel to move on so fast?”

“Love just happens, and you guys look happy. Just enjoy getting a second chance. They don’t come around often.”

Chad hugged me. “Please, baby. Stop worrying. In your heart, you know you’re doing the right thing.”

I turned around and threw my arms around him. “I do. I love you, Chad.”

“Love you too. We can go sit on the back porch if you want.”

“No. Sit with us and watch this,” Chris offered.

Chad put a hand on my back. “We don’t wanna ruin your night.”

“It’s OK,” Kelli insisted. “First dates are a little nerve racking, although tonight has been really wonderful.” She leaned her head on Chris’ chest as he put his arm around her shoulders. “He took me out to dinner, and we walked along the river. I thought lead singers were cocky. Chris is such a gentleman.”

I almost choked as I swallowed my pill. A gentleman? Kelli had really gotten to Chris if he was a gentleman.

“Come on. Sit and hang out with us.” Kelli waved at the couch. “It just started.”

Chad helped me sit on the loveseat with him. “Baby, you OK?”

“Just a little tired,” I admitted. “These stupid things are heavy.”

Kelli suddenly asked. “When do you get them off?”

  “Another week or so.”

She nodded. “You must be ready to get them off right now.”

Chad smiled. “She is.” Then Chad pulled me closer to him so I could lay back on him. He put his arms around me and held me close. “Just relax, baby. You need the rest.”

The movie was a comedy. My body shook every time Chad laughed. He needed that. Our lives had been stressful the past few months. I tried hard to keep my eyes open, but I gave up after about a half an hour.

The next thing I knew, I was in bed, tucked in. Chad sat up next to me. I heard muffled noises but couldn’t make them out. Curious, I concentrated, as I leaned on my elbow.

  “They woke you up too?”

I wasn’t sure who they were. Then I heard a loud female cry. Kelli must have stayed. Both of them moaned. She obviously had the time of her life. I laughed quietly. We must sound just like that to Chris.

I was too tired to stay awake. They didn’t seem as loud as we were. I pulled Chad back down. When I slowly turned to my side, Chad spooned me and placed his hand over my breast. As I drifted off, he pulled my pajama bottom down.

  I sighed. “Chad—too tired.”

  “I’ll be quick. Pr
omise,” he whispered as he yanked down my panties as well. After I heard a condom open, he gently slid into me. “I love you so much, baby.”

He held me close while he still moved his hips slowly. Since we discovered I wasn’t pregnant again, he had been gentle while we made love. I knew he still grieved somewhat, so I showed him as much love as possible.

I put my hand over his. My eyes had closed, but I was mostly aware. Every time his hips bumped my ass, he ground against me. I had to clutch his hand not to react. With Kelli in the house, I was a bit self-conscious. Suddenly, his rhythm increased. My eyes opened wide, and I gasped.

Chad let out a moan, close to my ear. “I wanna cum fast for you. I know you’re tired.”

“Uh-huh,” I softly replied. Pleasure already built.

His arms tightened around me, and he started to fuck me even harder. I leaned my head back on him, on the verge of an orgasm. He kissed my neck a few times, before he bit it. That did it. I cried out his name, and my entire body seized.

  “Ah, yeah.” Chad groaned loudly.

Then Chris and Kelli got louder. My body still reacted. Spasms and waves of pleasure continued.

“I’m not letting him win this one,” Chad said.

I gasped, sure Chad was about to blow my mind. Chris couldn’t know they competed. Chad grunted as his hips slapped my ass faster. He shifted slightly. Then I dug my nails into his arm. The head of his cock pushed into my sweet spot with every quick stroke. When he started to pull out to the tip and drive back in hard, he still caught that spot. I clung to him tightly. He knew I liked that.

It took merely seconds for me to explode, powerfully. I turned my head toward the pillow and screamed into it. My vision turned white, and I couldn’t catch my breath. A whimper escaped. I couldn’t control my vaginal walls. They squeezed Chad’s cock over and over again.

“That’s it, baby!” Chad almost shouted while he grinded into me. His hips moved around, and I shuddered. “Just one more. Please.”

How can I cum like that again? My hands shook long after the spasms ended. He pushed me to rest on my belly and drilled me harder. “Oh God!” I grasped the pillow and screamed again. How the hell is he doing that?

When my voice faded, I heard Chris cry something out loudly. Then they were quiet.

“Crystal… Crystal…” Chad grunted and pressed his hips against me. “Fuck.” He throbbed inside me. Then he kissed my cheek. “Love you.” His voice was soft. His fingers ran through my hair a few times.

I pushed on the bed, and he helped me back on my side. “I think you won.”

“Yeah,” he mumbled into my hair.

Chad caressed my belly a bit. Then his hand moved slower and slower until his breathing pattern changed. When his hand stopped, I knew he was asleep. I put my hand over his and wished I was able to give him the child he wanted. That would start a riot in my head, so I let it go and concentrated on Chad. Every breath on my neck made me shiver but also soothed me. I easily fell asleep. I felt very loved.

  Chapter 47

The next Friday, my casts were scheduled to come off. It had been eight weeks to the day, since the accident. I hobbled and flailed often and was tired of it. I had woken up feeling off but chalked it up to nerves. Chad would panic, so I hid it from him. After a few minutes, I was fine.

Just after our morning ritual, Chad got a phone call from work. They needed him to come in to fix something essential, and it had to be right away. He didn't explain, since I wouldn't understand. I didn't speak techie. Although I knew Dr. Andrews well from weekly visits, I was nervous I would freak without him.

“I’m sorry, baby. I wanted to go with you.” Chad held my face and kissed my lips.

I understood, and he knew it, but I voiced it anyway. “I know. It's fine. Chris’ll go.”

“OK.” With a sigh, he pulled away. I leaned on the couch and watched him gather his laptop and paperwork into his backpack. “I’ll be as fast as I can.” He rushed to me and kissed me one more time. “Text me when you’re done.”

With a smile, I nodded. “Love you.”

He grinned back. “Love you too.” Then he waved as he went out the garage door.

The Harley started up, and I sighed. Since it was better on gas, he used it when he drove alone. I missed riding. Maybe he can take me out when we get back.

I went into Chris’ room and sat on his bed. He was out like a light, no reaction at all. I shook him, gently. “Chris… Chri—is.”

Nothing woke him, so I yanked the blanket off. My mouth dropped. He was completely naked. Damn! I had never seen him fully nude before.

He was on his back. I couldn’t help but bite my lip. I stared at his body a bit longer than I should have. However, I couldn’t help it. The tattoo of the two snakes was fully on display. They ran from his chest down to below his waist. I admired the tails that pointed at his groin. His dick was hard as a rock and twitched against his hip. No wonder Kelli couldn’t keep her hands off him.

Suddenly, Chris turned over and knocked me onto my back. At least my head fell on a pillow. His arm splayed over my middle. I giggled, the situation too funny to hold back.

“Chris, wake up.” I picked up his arm. However, he moved closer and wrapped both arms around me. His cock pressed into my side. “I hate a tease.” For a few seconds, I tried to get out of his grasp. “Chris, come on. We need to go soon.” Then he shifted and grabbed my breast. I smacked his ass as hard as I could. “Stop it.”

He woke up with a jolt but didn’t move his hand. “Why’re you in my bed, Crystal?” He cocked an eyebrow and stared at me.

“Why’re you naked and fondling my boob?”

Chris lifted his head and squeezed my breast. “Oh… sorry.” He had a puzzled look on his face. “Is it me or did they get bigger?” Then he stood up. I couldn’t help but look.

I bit my lip and ignored his question. “You look hot naked you know.”

“Oh shit.” He pulled shorts out of a drawer. When he bent over to put them on, I covered mouth. On his ass cheeks were a pair of hands with long red nails. I smiled and tried not to laugh. I understood why he never let me see them before.

Chris turned back to me when he had the shorts up. “Please don’t tell Chad. I didn’t know you were in my bed. I was dreaming about Kelli. I didn’t mean to touch you.”

“And I didn’t mean to see you naked. Don’t tell him that either.” I couldn’t get his body out of my head.

Chris pulled me out of my thoughts of him when he said, “You gonna take a nap or get up?”

I tried to get up, but for some reason I couldn’t. Chris helped me to my feet. “You plan to see Kelli again?”

“Yeah. Tonight.” Chris grinned like a kid. “Takin’ her to Philly to see a band she likes. Tommy got me the tickets.”

I laughed. “Nice to have friends in high places.”

  “That it is.”

I went to the bedroom and sat on the bed. That week, we tried to plan to get together with Jon, Tommy and Dominic, as a band. However, Noelle had a few days off, so Dominic flew out to visit her. He was scheduled to arrive the night before, but I hadn’t heard from him. Although I was quite nervous, I wanted to see if it would work sooner rather than later.

Only once, had I attempted to hold a guitar. Jon came over while Chad wrote a song on an acoustic. I was curious, so Chad handed me the guitar. Jon helped me adjusted it. It was useless though. My arm didn’t bend right, so I couldn’t strum. When I was distracted, Chad took several pictures. Jon suggested we use them for the album we hoped to write. I wasn’t sure.

The door creaked. Chris walked in, fresh out of the shower and still in a towel. He winked then flashed me. I laughed and bit my lip at the full frontal view. The move reminded me of Chad, before Giovanni came into my life.

As soon as Chris was ready, we left for the orthopedist. After x-rays, we walked to the exam room. Chris lifted me up to the table. Nervous, I grabbed his hand before he moved away.

“What’s wrong?” Chris cradled my left hand in his.

I stared at the floor, unsure how to explain.

  “Scared?”

  I nodded.

“It’s OK.” He wrapped his arms around me. “I know this’s been hard.”

The knock on the door startled me. Dr. Andrews walked in. “Hey, Crystal.”

  “Hi,” I replied meekly.

He glanced at me as he checked my x-ray films. “No Chad?”

“Working,” Chris informed him. “I’m their roommate, Chris.”

“Great voice, Chris.” Dr. Andrews put out a hand. “Nice to meet you.” He clapped his hands together. “Looks like you’re getting out of those contraptions today. Crystal, lie down please. Chris, can you lift her cast?”

“Sure.” Chris helped me first. Then he held my leg up and waited while Dr. Andrews extended the table I sat on.

I gripped the cushion beneath me with my good hand. Then I watched as my right leg was freed.

The doctor lifted it. I could see that my calf shrunk. He looked at my ankle and touched it in a few places. He moved the joint slowly. There wasn’t pain, but it felt sore. When he bent my knee toward my chest, I noticed small scars on both sides of my ankle from the surgery.

“You’re not going to be able to walk just yet,” Doctor Andrews warned me. “Physical therapy will help you get back to normal. Just take it slow, a little each day. Chris, can you carry her into the next room for me?”

Chris picked me up and followed the doctor. He put me down on another table. Then a technician came toward me with an odd saw. My eyes opened wide. When he grabbed hold of my right arm, I shrieked.

“What?” Chris quickly took me in his arms.

I shook my head and internally berated myself for freaking out. “I can’t.”

“You can.” Chris pulled back and looked into my eyes. “I’m right here.”

Did Chad give him details about my fear of doctors?

“OK.” I let him go and closed my eyes. The sound of the saw scared the hell out of me. I was sure he would cut my skin, but he didn’t.
