Right when I walk in the door Marco rushes to me like his life depends on it.

“What’s wrong Marco?” I ask concerned.

“Are we still going on our summer vacation?” He asks with hope in his eyes. What the hell is going on?

  “Yes we are.”

  “Thank god.”

  “What happened today?”

“Erika and Devin had a show down today and it was really bad.”

“How bad?” I was scared to even know the answer to that.

“She told him to go fuck himself and to never talk to her, or even come near her. He really needs this.”

“Fuck.” The door opens and slams closed as Devin storms in the compound and into his room.I have never seen him so mad in my life, you could see the steam coming from his ears.

“Alright boys pack your stuff we are going to the beach house. You know the drill take whatever you need and meet me in the front.”

“Fuck yes.” Devin yelled. Marco was right about needing this trip away. I open the trunk for the boys since my bag is already in there. Storm drops his bag.

“I’m going to the bathroom before we leave be right back.” Devin and Marco walk out with their bags and put them in the trunk.

“Do you want to talk about what’s bothering you Devin?” Marco walks away and Devin sighs.

  “I fucked up Dad.”

  “What did you do?”

“Erika was off today and all I wanted was to help her but I pushed too far, she was getting defensive for no reason and it pissed me off so I snapped. Do you think I lost her for good this time?” I feel bad for my boy; these two like to keep their guards up all the time, and it makes them bump heads all the time.

“No Devin I don’t. Sometimes when she says to leave it alone you need to drop it for the time being. You will learn the times when you should push and when you shouldn’t. After our trip, talk to her just don’t be so pushy son.” Devin hugs me and I hug him back. We all get into the car and I start driving to the beach house.

  Two Days Later

We arrive at the beach house and the boys are excited. They grab their bags and head to their rooms and unpack very quickly. They come down the stairs with swim trunks on.

“Dad are you joining us?” Storm asks.

“Yes in a bit.” I change into my swim trunks and sit on the back porch watching my boys having fun, and it’s a great sight to watch. I love seeing my boys happy and I will do whatever I can to keep them happy.

“Grandpa.” Was the only thing I heard and when I turn around Emily jumps into my arms.

“Hi princess. Are you being a good girl for your daddies?”

“Of course I am and I’m helping them with Eric.” She says with a bright smile that reminds me so much of Marco’s smile. Emily loves being a big sister and so does Melissa. They enjoy it as much as I enjoy being a grandpa of five amazing grandkids. I love them all and I’m waiting for at least one more from Rain, out of my kids he doesn’t have one yet, but if I can get more than six grandkids that would be great the more the better.

  “Where is Eric?” I ask.

“He’s right here.” I hear Marco say. I turn around to see my son holding his son with a bright smile. I love seeing my kids happy that’s all that matters to me. Kids first than the MC. Ever since they found their other halves, they have been the happiest I have ever seen them. I place Emily on the ground and grab Eric. The door opens and Storm walks in with Austin in his arms. Storm doesn’t have his beaming smile like he usually does and I hate it, right now he’s going through a rough patch with Logan and he has been a little miserable if he didn’t have his son he would be completely miserable.

“Storm, can I talk to you for a minute?”

“Sure thing dad.” I gave Paul his son then walk into my office waiting for Storm to come in. Storm walks in then takes a seat in front of me.

“How are you holding up?” I ask.

  “As much as I can.”

  “Have you seen him lately?”

“Yeah he came by yesterday to see Austin, but he kept me at a distance.” I nod my head.

  “Are you giving up?”

“No I’m not, but it’s hard to keep trying when he keeps brushing me off. It makes me want to punch him in the face.” I couldn’t help but to laugh.

  “What’s so funny Dad?”

“I’m sorry son, but the fact that you want to punch him in the face is a good thing.”

  “How?” He asks confused.

“It means you still love him, keep on fighting for him. Don’t give up no matter how much he pushes you away.”

  “Alright thanks Dad.”

“You’re welcome now go have fun with Tessa, I will be having fun with my grandbabies today.”

“Have fun Dad. You do know that’s five kids right three newborns?” He asks with concern.

“Yes Storm, I will be just fine go have some fun relax.”

“Alright.” I walk them all out of the compound and close the door.

“Alright what do you girls want to watch?”

“Paw Patrol. The babies like it.” Of course Paw Patrol is the go to show for the kids. I put the TV on and the show was already on, perfect. Emily brings a deck of cards and smiles up at me and I know exactly what she wants to play and I blame Rain for showing her how to play poker.

“Alright Emily, you win let’s play.” She shuffles the cards than passes me my cards. We are three games in and I haven’t won a game yet, Emily is very good with any card game. She’s even better than her father. Marco is the only one that had beaten her in poker and that was only a few times. It’s two in the afternoon and all the kids are down for the count.

Sitting at the round table Storm brings Joseph and Elijah in the room, I have been waiting a week for this meeting they had been dealing with their own problems before they could come over for this meeting.

“Welcome Joseph and Elijah, I hope you have everything under control on your side.” The Dragons is a count from us not that far and not too close.

“Yes everything is fine now, don’t worry.” Joseph says.

“I’m not worried, but I am happy to hear everything is going well for you boys. Erika is very fond of you boys, so I’m glad things are good.” They both nod their heads.

“Thank you. So about the weapons you want do you still want knives?” Elijah asks.

“Yes I do. I want five big ones and the othe
rs I want decent sizes so you can hide them in like the girl’s boots shit like that. You boys know how fussy Erika is with her knives right?”

“Yes we know.” They said in unison.

“Can you give us 42 hours to get everything?” Joseph asks.

  “That’s fine.”

  “Great, see you then.”

“Make sure you see Erika and the babies, she will be pissed if you don’t see her while you are here.”

“Trust us we know. That girl has a bad temper.”

“Don’t I know it.” The three of us laugh as they were on their way out of the room. I lean back in my chair and run my fingers through my hair, I have a bad feeling something is going to happen. I just don’t know what or when it will happen. I will be prepared for whatever is heading our way. Hearing the door open I look up to see Rain and he looks down. I hate when my kids are not happy, I hate it more when I don’t know how to help them.

“What’s wrong Son?” He sits next to me and sighs deeply.

“I don’t know how to help Storm and I hate it.”

“I know Rain you're not the only one.”

“I know they are both miserable when Logan does come over he doesn’t try to talk to Storm or anything he just plays with Austin and keeps his distance from him, he talks to Tessa a little not much at all. None of them are happy and I hate it. I just want to punch him but I don’t.”

“Are you thinking of how Logan feels?” I ask.

“Yes it’s why I haven’t tried to slap sense into him yet.”

“He just as miserable. He just needs to figure out what he wants and he will be back to where he belongs, Storm just has to keep on fighting for him and not give up.”

“You really think he would come back?”

“I do it’s just going to take some time.”

“Alright I will see you later Dad.”

“See you later son.” He closes the door, I rub my temples in a circular motion it’s a rough time for the family right now. Everyone is worried about Storm and Logan, the thing is there’s nothing for us to do it’s all up to them and I hate that there’s nothing that I can do for them.

  42 Hours Later

Walking out of my office I see Joseph and Elijah with a lot of suitcases.

“Now that’s a good way to stay on the down low, well done boys.” They nod their heads with a smile. Joseph hands Erika a small bag she opens it and a big smile appears on her face. She wraps her arms around them both.

“Thank you I love it.” She says with a big smile.

“Turn it over.” Elijah says with a smile. She grabs the knife and turn it over and I see a dragon symbol.

“It’s perfect.” She turns it again and I see our’s and the Devil’s symbol. I can see why she loves it so much it has all three symbols on it. All three of her homes. The boys and I start opening the bags and Devin and Storm already trying out the knives.

  “Already boys seriously?”

“We just want to make sure they work good.”

“Work good my ass.” The boys start laughing, I swear sometimes I think they are still in their damn teen years man. I grab the envelope full of money out of my back pocket and hand it to Joseph, he looks at it but doesn’t count it. The first time he did that I was shocked, but he says he trusts me so he doesn’t have to count it. We put the guns away, Erika and Tessa took care of the knives. When I walk back out I see Logan playing with Austin and Storm is sitting on the couch watching them both. Logan glances up at Storm and he looks miserable and I sigh. I walk over to Logan and point to my office. He gets up with Austin and walks in my office, I close the door when he sits down.

“Logan you look miserable.” I tell him and he sighs.

“You are not the first person to tell me that.”

“I bet not. What’s going on in that head of yours?” I ask curiously.

“I just think it’s better if I’m out of the way.”

“Better for who? Storm, you, or the baby?”

“All of the above.” I shake my head.

“You are an idiot, it’s not better for any of you. You are miserable Storm is definitely miserable and Austin is missing his second dad. You visit what every other day that’s not good for him.”

  “I’m trying Felix.”

“Try harder and stop overthinking things my god you’re like my kids. Overthinking things is the reason why you’re not happy right now just think about that.”

“I will.” He gets up and walks out of my office.” There are times I wish I had someone to help me with my kids, this shit is not easy no matter what their age is.

  Maxie

I’m so happy that I finally finish packing, it’s been way to long since I been home and now that it’s safe to come back I don’t plan on leaving ever again. Throughout the years I kept in touch with the boys and Erika and I’d never been happier when I found out that Marco and Erika has kids they send me pictures all the time, I’m glad they found someone to love. I’m worried about Emma though she’s on the run most likely because of her horrible father and she hasn’t been to Dalson yet. I know she’s trying to be safe but the safest place for her is with the boys and she knows it. I put my bags in the trunk of my car and I start driving back home.

I been driving for two days and I’m finally pulling up to the Devils compound it’s been about ten years since I been here and it looks alot better from the outside hopefully it looks better in the inside as well. I got out of the car and slowly walk towards the door. I slowly open the door and to my surprise the place looks completely different thank the gods for that.

“No fucking way.” I heard Dalson’s voice, I looked up and saw him rushing down the stairs. He wraps his arms around me and I felt like I never left.

“What’s going on?” I heard Paul say, when he saw me his eyes widen in shock.

“Please tell me I’m not dreaming.”

“Hey sweetheart.” Dalson moved over and Paul wrap his arms around me. It feels so good to be around my babies.

“You boys look so grown.” Logan and James walk down my four boys grown into great men.

“No fucking way.” Logan and James said in unison. Dalson and Paul step aside so they can hug me, being back home with my boys is a great feeling.

“It’s great to have you back mom.” The boys said in unison. I been taking care of these boys and two girls Erika and Kenzi for years I might not be there biological mother but I raised them as my own.

“It’s good to be back I miss you all so much.” I looked at Logan and he looks miserable.

“Dalson you are right he does look miserable.” Logan signed heavily.

“You told her didn’t you Dalson?”

“Yes I did. If anyone can make you snap out of your stupidness it’s mom.”

“I’m fine you didn’t have to tell her.” He says with irritation.

“Sweetheart how about we go outside and talk.” He nods his head as he walks towards the door.

“Do you want me to get your bags and put them in. your room?” Paul asks.

“That would be great thank you.” I gave him my car keys than walk towards Logan.

“Alright Logan tell me what's going on. What I hear you were very happy with Storm and Tessa why did you leave them after Austin was born?” He sighs again looking more unhappy than before.

“I just thought it would be better if I wasn't in the picture making easier for them all.”

“How would leaving them make it better? And for who?”

“All three of them. I don't want Austin to get picked on because he has two dads and a mom, I just don't want to push Storm into something he doesn't want.”

“Sweetheart if he didn't want you apart of his family he wouldn't let you in like he did. You have it made you have a girl and a man that loves plus a son don't lose sight of what's precious to you.”

“I hear you mom, I just need time to figure things out.”

“Okay just remember love is not always easy t
o find so when you do find it hold on to it and don’t let it go.”

Arriving at the Scorpion Bar I’m very excited to see Erika and the babies. Right when I open the door all I heard was Erika scream and into my arms in like two seconds flat. I wrap my arms around her and smile. I looked up and saw Marco he waved at me with a smile on his face. I’ve talk to Marco on a few occasions when Paul calls me when he is around. Marco went into the back than came out with two kids Emily and Eric.
