  “When did you get here?” Erika ask.

  “A few hours ago, I came here as soon as I could after dealing with your brothers.”

  “It’s good to finally meet you Maxie.” Marco says with a smile.

  “It’s great to meet you Marco.”

  “Emily, Eric this is your grandma.” Emily took a step forward then wrapped her arms around me and I couldn’t stop smiling, I hugged her tightly being with my family again is a great fucking feeling. She let me go Marco places Eric in my arms. Erika came out with her two kids and I know I don’t want to miss any more of my kids lives I’ve missed enough already.

  “Look how cute you four are.”

  “Melissa that’s your grandma.” Melissa reaches out for me, I gave Paul his son than picked her up. Devin and Storm walk in, they still look the same just older.

  “Look at you to grown into great men and you finally got the girl, it took you long enough.”

  “You just got here and you already giving me beef, you have a point it took me awhile but I do have her and she’s not going anywhere.”

  “Damn right.” I took a step closer to Storm.

  “You have a girl as well Storm, I do know about your situation with Logan just give him some time and don’t give up on him.”

  “I won’t, I can’t even if I tried.” I smiled up at him. Another man walked in who looks like Storm no doubt that’s Rain.

  “You must be Rain I’m Maxie.”

  “It’s nice to meet you the girls told me alot about you.”

  “It’s nice to meet you to. Where is Kenzi?”

  “Coming in right now.” I turn around when she saw me her eyes widen in shock and I smiled at her. Kenzi runs into my arms and I hugged her tight.

  “I can’t believe you're really here.”

  “I know baby girl but I’m home now.”

  “Thank the gods.” They said in unison and I couldn’t help but to laugh, I’m so happy to finally be home. We sat at a table Marco gave me a drink, I took a sip when I looked up I saw the most sexiest man alive.

  “Who’s the silver fox over there?” I turn to Erika to ask her about the mystery man.

  “That is Felix my godfather I can introduce you if you like.” She said with a big smile on her beautiful face.

  “I look like a hot mess right now.” The girls rolled there eyes.

  “No you don’t plus I can do your hair tomorrow.”

  “Please do.”

  “Felix.” Erika yells is name and he walks over, the closer he gets the sexier he becomes and I just want to run my finger in his silver hair. He kisses the top of her head than kisses Kenzi head.

  “Hey girls.”

  “This Maxie she’s the women I told you about who raised us when we were in the evil Devils.”

  “It’s nice to meet you thank you for taking care of them.” He reached for my hand and I shook his.

  “Don’t need to thank me they are my kids after all, I raised them as my own and I love them just as much.”

  “Trust me I understand that completely.” From what Erika has told me he’s a great man he’s been raising three of them since they were kids and gained another one who he was looking for Rain for years and finally got him four years ago now. After five hours of hanging out with the family the boys and went straight to bed when we go home.

  I picked up Erika from the Scorpion Bar and she gave me directions to her compound. When we got inside she grabs me a chair and I sat in the chair and wait for her to come back with everything she needs so she can do my hair.

  “Okay I’m going to trim your hair then color it.” Erika says with excitement.

  “Sounds good to me.” Erika put music on before she starts cutting my hair, she’s always loved music it put her in a good place when everything went to hell. A few minutes has pass and Erika was done cutting my hair.

  “We are still doing red right?” She asks before applying the color.

  “That’s right I’m going back to the red.” After she applied the color we waited an hour before washing it out. Erika wraps my hair in a towel, I sat in the chair as Erika blow dries my hair. As she was almost done Felix walks in and he looks surprised to see me here, I waved at him and he waves back at me. Erika hands me a mirror and my hair looks great it’s bright red just how I wanted it.

  “You did great sweetie I love it.”

  “I’m glad you love it, you look amazing like always. Besides me doing your hair do you have places to be today?”

  “Storm and Marco invited me to their place so that’s where I’m going to be.”

  “That’s great, I have somethings to do, but I will be over there later.”

  “See you later.” Felix opens the door for me.

  “Thank you. It’s nice seeing you again Felix sorry I can’t talk more.”

  “It’s okay another time, have fun with the kids.”

  “That I will.” When I got to there house my jaw dropped open their house is huge, the whole family can live here if they wanted to. As I’m about to knock on the door Storm opens the door with Austin in his arms.

  “You made it. Warning, Emily is a little hyper right now.” I kiss Austin’s head and he wiggled in his dad's arms.

  “Is Logan here?” I ask.

  “No he’s not, but I’m not giving up.” I smiled up at him.

  “At a boy.” I walked inside and Emily ran right into my arms.

  “Hi grandma.”

  “Hi sweet cheeks.” Storm is right she is hyper. I walked over to Paul and Marco they had big smiles on there face and I just love seeing my kids happy.

  “So who gave Emily a lot of candy today?” I ask. Marco looks at Paul.

  “Okay I gave a little too much chocolate, come on who can say no to that face.” He says with a smile Marco leans into Paul and kisses his cheek, I couldn’t be more happier than to see my son happy like this.

  “Would you like to hold your grandson.” Marco asks.

  “Like you even have to ask.” Marco laughs as he handed Eric to me.

  “I’m going to make his bottle.” I nod my head as I sat on the couch. As I was feeding Eric the door opened and Logan walks in, he walks straight to Storm and grabs Austin. Even though he’s having a hard time figuring out what he’s going to do he knows exactly what he wants. He leans into Storm and kisses his cheek and I smile. Storm looks surprised but also relaxed as well, hopefully this will last. Logan is playing with Austin, Storm put his arm around Logan but without touching him Logan slides over and put his head on Storm arm. Now this is a start. Paul sits next to me and looks over to Logan.

  “Do you think he’s starting to get out of his ass?”

  “Not a hundred percent but this is a start.”

  “Yes it is. I just want him to be happy.”

  “I know sweetie we all do.” I love that the whole family is here and just having fun no matter what everyone is going through they all came together and are just having fun.

  Felix

  I walk into the compound and Maxie is still here, this women is sexy as hell and too young for me, plus I don’t know a thing about her. She’s been here for two weeks and my kids already trying to set me up with her like I can’t find my own women or something. I need to get her out of here before I do something stupid.

  “Maxie can I talk to you for a minute.” I walk into my office and sat down. She closes the door behind her, I take a deep breath to keep my cool. She sits across from me and crosses her legs.

  “How long do you plan on staying here?” I ask nicely. Her head shot back a little.

  “If you don’t want me here just come out and say it.” I love that she doesn’t sugar coat things.

  “I didn’t say that.”

  “I get it you don’t know me, I’m new to you…” She stops gets off the chair puts both hands on my desk and leans in.

  “I’m no rat. Plus I don’t want anything you do here, since you want me to leave I will. I’ll tell Erika that I have to look f
or work.” I stand up and she looks right at me.

  “You’re willing to lie to Erika?” I ask curiously.

  “No I never lie to my kids, I am looking for work I’m just leaving sooner than I planned to.”

  “Aren’t you staying at the Devil’s compound?” I ask.

  “Yes, that doesn’t mean I don’t need a job. I do like having my own money.” That right there speaks volumes. She grabs the doorknob and I sighed.

  “Maxie you can stay as long as you want and as long as you have me you don’t need a job.” She turns her head a little and I saw a small smile appear on her face before she left my office. Even though I want to put my head through a wall right now I meant what I just said, god help me. I walk out of my office and Emily jumps in my arms, I picked her up as I walk towards Devin.

  “What are your plans for the day?” I ask.

  “I was going to take the girls to the park.”

  “Yayyy let’s go Uncle Devin.” Devin grabs Emily from my arms then grabs Melissa. I heard Sam crying and right on que Austin starts to cry.

  “Alright boys who is hungry?” Erika walks out and hands me a bottle. I picked up Austin and feed him, the boys are one week apart down to the hours and minutes I thought that was funny. They were born on the same day of the week and time just a week apart. Maxie walks pass with Eric in her arms and he was born three weeks later. The kids love her and I don’t blame her she is great, amazing, beautiful and I don’t know how Im going to keep my hands off of her it’s going to be like imposible. Maxie is to young for me, I have to keep my distance that’s not going to be easey, not at all.

  Logan walks in the compound and sits next to me I handed him Austin. Once Austin was in his arms his whole mood changes he went from sad and miserable to happy. Honestly Austin is the only reason why Storm and Logan have smiles on their faces after Logan decided to step away from Storm and Tessa like an idiot.

  “Hey Logan how have you been?” He looked at me and sighed.

  “I'm not even going to bother lying to you because you will call out my bullshit. I'm miserable and you already know that life sucks but Austin makes my life easier and better as long as he's good I will be just fine.”

  “Logan I think of you as another son just as I do for the rest of the Devils and I'm going to be honest with you, you can have it all you just have to fight for what you want if you don't fight for what you want you will be never be fully happy.”

  “I know, I just don't know what to do anymore my mind is all over the place and I can't figure out what I should do all I do know is that I will do everything in my power to protect Austin.”

  “I don't doubt that, just don't overthink things Logan. You know how you feel use your feelings to guide you to where you want to be don't be stupid.”

  “Thanks Felix that's good input but can I give you a little input of my own?”

  “Sure I'm listening.” I raised my eyebrow curious on what he's going to say.

  “Don't get to caught up in your head.”

  “What?”

  “You like mom but your to caught up in your head to make a move on her just because your older than her doesn't mean she's not interested.”

  “Seriously?”

  “Yeah she's into you and she doesn't care about your age, just give it some thought she is worth it.”

  “Aren't you full of surprises.”

  “Just because I'm in a tough spot doesn't mean I don't want you both to be happy plus I know you will treat her with respect and as your queen.” I smile up at him and he smiles back.

  “I'll keep that in mind, thanks Logan.”

  “Of course.”

  “What are you planning to do?” I ask.

  “Not sure yet but Austin is my reason for living, I'm going to take him with me for the night and I'll let them know.” At a boy even though he's struggling right now he's does know what he wants he just has to fight for it.

  “Alright have fun with your son.”

  “Will do.” That's the first time he's admitted that out loud. It's time for him to fight and apparently I need to get my head out of my ass. Logan grabs some of Austin stuff than left the compound. Logan and I both learn something today now it's up to us to figure out what we want. Now my brain is going to go on overdrive to figure out what I'm going to do.

  It’s been two days since I talked to Maxie and Logan and I haven’t heard a word from either one of them, for Logan that’s normal Maxie on the other hand I’m not sure since she's been here she’s always comes here for a few hours than leaves but for the last two days she hasn’t come I don’t know if I should be worried or not. I sat on the couch and laid my head back.

  “Grandma.” I hear Emily yell. I shot my head up and she looks different like something is bothering her. Maxie is playing with the kids but everytime I take a step close to her she take a step away, she been doing that for the last two hours and it’s pissing me off. She being clever about it as well she does like this two step thing with the kids. If she thinks I haven’t noticed she has another thing coming. I walk into my office and call Logan.

  “Hey Felix is there something you need?” He ask softly. I guess he still has Austin with him.

  “What’s going on with your mom?”

  “You see it as well huh, to be honest we are not sure she came home the other day off, not like herself and jumpy she doesn’t want to talk about it. All we do know it something happened when she went to the store.”

  “Good to know thanks Logan.”

  “Your welcome hopefully and can get through to her.”

  “I will try.” I wonder what happened. I walk out of my office and she sitting on the couch, I slowly sit next to her.

  “Is everything okay Maxie?” I ask softly. She jumped a little Logan was right about being jumpy.

  “Yeah I’m fine just a little tired.” I sighed she is so not fine, when a woman says she fine something is definitely wrong.

  “If you want to talk I’m always available if you need me or if you don’t I’m always here.”

  “Thank you, but I'm good right now.” I nod my head. Something is obviously wrong but she doesn't want to talk about it and I understand that you can't push someone to tell you things well you can push just not to much that they shut down. I squeezed her hand than went to my office when I got there Marco was sitting in my chair.

  “Is there something bothering you son?” I ask concerned.

  “I feel useless.” I raised both eyebrows and he sighs.

  “Storm is hurting and I don't know how to help him. I told him that I will always protect him but this is so out of my range. I feel useless there's nothing I can do to make him feel better and I hate it what kind of big brother am I?” I walked over to Marco and squeezed his hand.

  “You are a great big brother Marco don't ever doubt that there's just something he has to do on his own, the hole thing with Logan and them it's going to take some time to it's fix but I know he will be back just keep on being there for him that's all you can do.”

  “This really sucks.”

  “I know it does.” I hugged him when he got up, when he left the room I sighed as I sat in my chair. Out of all the boys this is hitting Marco harder. Marco was already with me when I took Storm in he always protected Storm no matter what. Marco is the one who trained him.

  Seventeen Years Ago

  The door busted open in the middle of a vote this better be good or he’s dead nobody is aloud to open these doors when they are closed.

  “Sorry Sir it’s the school.” Fuck. I rush out the room and grabbed the phone.

  “Hello.”

  “Mr. McClane?”

  “Yes this is he.”

  “Marco Holden and Storm Montgomery are in the principal's office for fighting, I’m suspending them for three days.”

  “What happened?” I asked pissed off tone.

  “Marco beat up three kids.” For fuck sakes.

  “Just send them bot
h home and I will talk to them.” I hung up the phone did a quick vote than waited for the boys to come home. He better have a good reason for fighting so help me God that boy will be grounded for a month.

  The door opened I got up and Storm was all bruised up and Marco hands were bruised and bleeding.

  “What the fuck happened today?”

  “It wasn't my fault those three little bastards jumped Storm so I beat their asses and we got suspended and they didn't it's all bullshit dad complete bullshit.” Marco says
