Sage's Surrender

Page 8

by Joy Blood

“Shit. Sage, what the hell?” She’s still startled, having been in her head while running but at least she didn’t jump and hurt herself while running. Her hand clutches at her chest, then rips the buds from her ears.

“Yeah, what the hell, kid? You are out here in the fucking weight room…in that.”

  “In this?” she echoes.

“Yeah. You got every brother in the club watching your tits and ass bounce up and down. It ain’t fucking happening, kid.”

“Stop calling me that!” She gets up in my face as best as she can, given our height difference. “I know I’m nothing but a child to you, but you don’t need to keep—” I shut her the fuck up by slamming my mouth down onto hers with such force, our teeth knock together, hitting my lip, but I don’t give a shit. I want to fucking devour her. From top to fucking bottom. I wrap her sweaty body around mine in one swoop and have her against the wall in seconds. My hands explore her, every fucking curve. The fabric is damp from her workout, the heat radiating from between her legs as my cock nestles between them.

“Fuck, you drive me goddamn crazy. I want to spank you until you’re bright red. Have my fucking handprints all over your ass,” I rasp into her mouth and suck her in. Every breath, every kiss, every pant, every fucking plea that comes from her lips. I take it all without a second thought.

“Sage, please. Oh, I can’t take it. Please I need you,” she pleads, and my hips surge forward.

“I want to sink my cock deep inside this sweet pussy of yours. So fucking deep, you won’t be able to walk for days without feeling me inside you.” I speed up my movements, getting the both of us closer. It happens so fast, I blink and it’s over. She comes right along my shaft, and I curse out my own release as I come in my shorts like a damn teenager. We stand there until our breaths get under control again, and I feel the same sinking feeling I did when I had my hand in her lacy thong and her cum on my fingers. She isn’t mine. She can’t fucking be mine. Ever.

“Put me down, Sage,” she demands, as if she can hear my thoughts.

“Brook.” I try to stop her, but she’s already snatching up her earbuds from the floor, along with her phone, and pulling her sweatshirt over her head. “I can’t do the hot and cold. You keep acting like touching me is a mortal sin. So just stop,” she says before walking out the door. I know I need to stop. Fuck, I want to stop, but I don’t think I can.

  Brook

Swiping my hand across the mirror, I clear a path so I can see myself. The workout was great, but the one after…well, that one was great too, but also so frustrating.

Quickly, I dry my hair from the shower enough to go outside in the crisp air without getting phenomena or something, pull my locks back into one sleek pony tail, and slide a headband over to keep it in place. Then I get dressed in a couple layers and make my way outside while being sure no one catches me. I know I’m not supposed to be leaving the clubhouse without someone with me, but I’m just taking a walk. Though, just in case, I decide to play it stealth mode for now.

Glancing around, I make sure I don’t see anyone before stepping all the way out and making my way around the other end of the clubhouse. I pause for a moment to look up at the sky and soak in some of the sun’s rays before putting one foot in front of the other on the dry ground. The once green grass is now slowly starting to die and turn yellow.

I keep up my pace and find a genuine smile growing on my face for the first time since I had to come back to this place. When I look around and see the dips and curves of the landscape surrounding the clubhouse, I have to admit it’s beautiful here. The cluster of trees surrounding Rock’s house pull my attention, and I start that way, but as soon as the cemetery comes into view, I freeze. I haven’t been here since they put Gin into the ground, and even then, I kept my distance. Slowly, I approach, not knowing if I want to, but it’s too late. As if my legs have made the decision for me, I’m walking through the small archway. There are a total of fifteen headstones, with Gin’s being the newest.

  Loving husband and father.

I read the words and want to scrape them off. They are so generic. “You were bigger than that,” I mutter to the slight breeze, then take in a deep breath. “Jason kind of set me straight the other day. Told me how big of an asshole I was being,” I say, shaking my head, standing over the large hunk of rock that serves as Gin’s headstone. “Typical Jason I guess—too wise for his age. He always acted older than me.” I suck in a breath, trying to hold off the tears that threaten to spill, but it doesn’t help. “I’m so sorry, Daddy. I was so mean. I should have come back sooner, and I will never forgive myself for that,” I sob, then cover my mouth, as if I can hold it in. The wind whips at my face, instantly turning my tears cold on my cheeks. “I want another chance. Please give me another chance!” I call out to the empty field. My voice is swallowed by the vastness surrounding me, and I crumple to the ground. I can’t feel the cold stone as I press alongside it, nor do I notice the arms that lift me in their embrace and cart me away.

Brook shakes in my arms as I clutch her to me, her sobs still racking her small frame. As I step into the clubhouse, all eyes shoot to me, then to the person in my arms. I shake my head when Vin tries to take her from me. I don’t want her anywhere else. Not right now—maybe not ever.

Pulling back the sheets on my bed, I lay her down, and against my better judgement, I kick my boots off and crawl into bed with her. Placing my arms around her shoulders, her back to me, I pull her in close and just hug her until I feel her shaking stop and her breathing even out. Then I fall asleep right along with her.

A knock on the door pulls me from sleep, and I bite back a curse at the asshole who’s on the other side. Very slowly and carefully, I detangle myself from Brook’s limbs and cover her back up before stomping over to find out what the hell they want. Swinging it open, I’m greeted with a pair of big green eyes. “Hi. I haven’t seen you in a while. I thought I would see if you needed any laundry done. Maybe even a little something else.” Bex smiles and reaches her hand out to drag her fingertips along my t-shirt covered chest, being sure to land on the waistband of my jeans to give them a small tug while biting her fat bottom lip. The action is so familiar between us, it comes as second nature. Only, this time, I already have someone in my bed—someone who damn well shouldn’t be.

“Maybe later, Bex.” I give her a smile and wink as I reach out to grip her chin between my thumb and forefinger. “I’ll find ya.” She gives a bright smile and saunters down the hall as I shut the door behind her. Turning around, I’m met with another pair of eyes, and there’s a whole different look in them: hurt.

“Thanks for bringing me back inside. I would have frozen my ass off out there,” Brook says, scrambling from the bed.

“I saw you collapse and ran out and got you.”

“Oh…well, thanks. I’ll get going, so Bex can come back.” She shoulders past me to the door, but I stop her advance with my palm pressed firmly to the wood, holding it shut so it won’t budge an inch for her.

  “Brook,” I growl.

  “Just let me out.”

“No,” I snap. “Bex is just one of the girls, she—”

“She’s one of the girls you fuck.”

“Watch your mouth,” I huff, getting a little closer to her.

“What? It’s true, isn’t it? That’s why she was here—to fuck you. Did she have anyone with her? That is sort of your thing, right?” A smug smirk forms on her lips.

“My thing?” I give her a dry laugh before circling around her, caging her to the door, now switching positions. “I like to share,” I admit, but I’m sure she already knows. Everyone does. I let my words caress along the shell of her ear as I get up close enough to feel her chest heave in deep breaths alongside mine. “I like to have a warm body sandwiched between me and another guy.” The gooseflesh that breaks out all over her bare arms is only the start of what my word
s are doing. “My cock buried inside a woman’s cunt while someone else is buried deep in her ass. Pounding her while she calls out both our names in ecstasy.” A shiver wracks her body. “I’ll even share a woman with another woman. One riding my cock while the other rides my face. Does that sound more appealing to you?” I’m still not touching her, my hands pressed on either side of her head, holding onto the door so I don’t let them roam her tight body. I’m only fucking with her. There’s no way I would let anyone else touch her.

“I can do that.” She finds her words, and they punch me in the gut, making me straighten.

“You don’t know what you’re saying,” I hiss, backing away from her.

“I do. I’ve done it before.”

My eyes widen, snapping to her as she faces me head on, unashamed at what she just told me. “The fuck you say?” My gaze narrows and I find myself stocking toward her once again, this time with a mist of anger forming over my vision. Whoever the fuck touched her, shared her, is fucking dead.

“You don’t know?” she asks, almost shocked I wouldn’t know such a thing.

  “Know what?”

“The video. The reason I left.”

Her explanation baffles me. I remember the reason she left had to do with a fight she had with Gin, but I didn’t know the reason for the fight. “What fucking video, Brook? What the hell are you talking about?” She shakes her head and tries to get out of my arms, but I hold her steady. “You brought it up, now tell me what the hell you are talking about.”

“There was a video of me… and two other guys from my school—” I hold up my hand, stopping her.

“You fucked two guys and they filmed it?” She gives a slight nod. “And Gin found out and you fought.” This time, it isn’t a question, but she nods anyway. “Reek must have destroyed the video before anyone saw it,” I say, more to myself than her.

“Probably. Gin was so mad.” The reality of her confession sinks in, and I start putting things together. The night I woke to find her in my bed. The night I heard she ran off to live with her mom. How fucking old was she then?

  “Why, Brook?”

“Because I was a dumb teenager with a silly crush,” she snaps, then uses my stunned state to her advantage and shuffles out of my grip. Brook runs to the bathroom to hide, but I follow, right on her ass. She slams the door in my face, and I let it go for a moment, standing on the other side of the door, waiting, listening to her slight sobs.

“Tell me why,” I demand again, only softer this time. She doesn’t answer. “Don’t make me open the door, kid.” The knob turns, and her face lifts to mine, splotchy from crying.

Her spine straightens as she faces me head on. “I heard about what you liked and I wanted to see if I could handle it. So I had sex with two guys I went to school with. It wasn’t until the next day I found out they had recorded it.”

It hits me hard. Her leaving was my fault. Maybe not directly, but she wouldn’t have done such a reckless thing if it weren’t for me.

Her face snaps to me, eyes boring into mine as she delivers a further blow. “Like I said. A stupid teenager.” She huffs, her voice growing with each word she spits at me, “Not much has changed since then either because I’m still pining away for a man who wants nothing to do with me!” she shouts before pushing me out of her way as she storms from the room.

“Those two are inseparable,” Ari says, leaning back in her chair, rubbing at her baby bump. She was let out of the hospital after the clubhouse was filled to capacity.

“They are adorable. It’s usually the boy bossing around the girl, but Tanya takes it to a whole new level. She has Boyd wrapped around her little finger.” Kimi laughs, glancing over at Ari. “I’m surprised you’re still out here as much as Rico has come out to try to talk you into lying down.”

Ari rolls her eyes. “I know. He would keep me chained to the bed if he could, and not in a sexual way. Since the fire, he’s been wound tight. I mean, I can’t blame him, it was a close call, but there is a point where we can start breathing again and we are well past it. He just hasn’t yet.”

“It’s going to take a while,” Buggs adds. “Rock is so on edge, he’s been even more aggressive,” she says with a wiggle to her brows, earning a smack from Ellie.

“Sorry about her, Brook. Buggs tends to talk without engaging her filter.” Ellie glares in Buggs’ direction, and Buggs just shrugs.

“What can I say? I was raised by bikers.” She lets out a laugh.

“It’s fine. I am twenty now. Not twelve,” I respond with a forced smile. I hate the way they all still see me as Gin’s little girl. Looking out at the kids playing, I feel bad for them in a way. They’ll grow up here and always be the babies in everyone’s eyes. Like I am.

“We know that, hon. Personally, I would rather not hear about how Buggs and Rock like to get frisky, though,” Kimi says with a sly smile directed at Buggs, who waves her hand in her direction.

“Jealous,” Buggs dismisses Kimi, who stands up and stretches.

“Far from. Jake can’t get enough from me since he knocked me up. Pregnancy is like catnip for bikers.” She laughs as every set of eyes lands on her, wide rimmed and mouths gaping.

“Seriously? When the hell, Keeks? You didn’t tell me?” Ari all but shouts and stands up to give her best friend a tight hug.

“I just did, jeez. And we found out the day after…” She glances my way with a sad expression while pulling away from Ari. “We found out the day after Gin died. I wasn’t sure when to say anything.”

“I’m happy for you. You and Jake.” I force a smile and shift in my seat, ready to bolt with all the eyes looking my way but pretending not to. “You guys might need to get a bigger house,” I say, trying for a light joke, and it sets Ari off on talking about house hunting, thankfully pulling the attention away from the conversation of Gin’s death.

While the women are all giggling, I take my moment and sneak out of the bar area and go into the hall. The door closing behind me muffles the laughter and playing children on the other side, but I need to get farther away. I need quiet. I start down the hallway, passing the computer room, and pause for a moment, hit with the memory of another stunt I pulled at an attempt to get Sage’s attention. So stupid. I shake my head and keep walking past the empty room.

In the other clubhouse, I knew each room, but here, it’s still a little vague. When I walk past one with the door closed, I pause. Against my better judgment, I step up to the door and press my ear to the wood. Voices on the other side pull my attention, but I can’t make out the tones or words to place who they are coming from or what they are saying.

“You know eavesdropping is rude.” My body jolts with surprise and I whip around to come face to face with one of the members.

“I can’t hear anything anyway,” I admit and give a shoulder shrug, as if I could care less.

“It’s just the officers trying to figure out what the hell to do next.”

  “Officers?”

  “Yeah. Rock, Jake, Sage, Ringer.”

“Ringer? Which one is he?” I don’t remember seeing him. I may have heard the name, but when it comes to the club, I selectively turn a deaf ear.

“Treasurer. Big burly fucker. Bushy black beard.” He gestures to his own scruff, which probably isn’t as long as the man he’s referring to.

“I may have seen him around. Which one are you?”

“Wiz. Computer guy,” he boasts, crossing his arms over his chest with a cocky grin.

“I thought Reek was the computer guy.”

He frowns, but quickly recovers. “Yeah, but I’m better. Don’t tell him that, though,” he chuckles. “You want to see something cool?” He nods down the hall the way I came.

“I have nothing else better to do,” I find myself saying and follow him down the hall to the computer room I passed. I catch myself smiling as he offers me a seat next to him and brings a screen to life.

&nbs
p; “This is what I do when I’m bored out of my skull.” He smirks and taps on a few keys. The screen pops up with some sci-fi program. “Now, watch the pip.” He points to a small rectangle in the bottom corner of the screen, which I now realize is a feed of someone watching TV—the same show that’s on the screen. “Let’s slow it down, shall we?”

The show starts to move in slow motion, the voices going in that deep long-winded voice. The guy watching the TV points a remote at the screen, clicking away and cursing when the video does nothing. I let out a laugh that mingles with Wiz’s.

  “Is that College?”

“Yeah. He’s gonna be pissed. Check it out,” Wiz says, typing away at the keyboard. The video stops and goes back to normal, except it isn’t. The voices are now in Spanish.

“That is so cool,” I laugh. “Make it go really fast.” My laughter increases as the show speeds up and the voices grow high pitched, still in Spanish. College stands from his perch on his bed, storms over to the TV, and starts smacking the back of it as if it will make the program go back to normal. “Oh my god, he is so mad!” I’m laughing so hard, my stomach hurts. Clutching it in my hand, I try to take in a breath, but it only gets worse when College starts spinning around, looking for something. Then his face lands right on the camera allowing us to witness his little encounter with his TV.

“Oh shit. He found it,” Wiz says, tapping away at the computer.

“You have a camera in his room?”

“No. I hacked his laptop’s webcam, then his Roku,” he says with a laugh that’s broken off by a booming voice at the door.

“The fuck is going on in here?”

The hair on the back of my neck stands on end as Sage’s voice seeps into every pore on my body.

“Hey, Sage. Just having some fun,” Wiz offers, getting a glare in return.
