Tex my best friend from the Death Dealers, leans forward and chuckles, “I think I speak for everyone here, you are most definitely our new prez and backer”. He looks at the others and they are all nodding in their own agreement.

As Doc sits forward to speak up, his chair groans from his heavily muscled body moving around in it, “so what are we going to call ourselves from now on?”.

I rub my day old scruffy chin and sit quietly for a minute, as the suggestions begin to fly out around the room.

Tex yells out, “The Demonic Racers”.

“The Hells Sinners”, speaks up Griller.

When I hear chuckling from my right, I look at a smirking Knuckles, “how about The Hounds of Hell or The Gods of Sin”.

I begin to laugh along with my mates, because as the time goes by, the suggestions for a new club name get stranger and stranger, until one fly’s out of a brother’s mouth that has everyone going silent.

Holding my hand up for attention, “what was that last one?”.

It was the quiet brother we call, Rock that speaks up and says, “I said what about The Soldiers of Wrath. There isn’t a club in Australia called that, I checked”.

Smiling I look at the men, who were all looking just as happy as me, “I like it, The Soldiers of Wrath. Well, brother’s, we now have a new name and now we need to vote in our new vp, treasurer, secretary, Sargent at arms, road captain and our enforcers. My vote for vice president is Tex all those in favour say aye”.

When the vote went around the table it was unanimous and Tex was voted in as my vice president. This went on until all positions were filled, Cain as treasurer, Gunner as secretary, Breaker as road captain, Rider as sergeant at arms and the Enforcers, are Knuckles, Griller and Ham. Rock is going to be the club’s computer expert and Doc as the resident doctor.

“Now I think the first order of business, is to call Donny up in Noosa and see if he will work with us and get permission to go through the Grim Reapers turf in Brisbane. I don’t want to get off on the wrong foot with a neighbouring Mc and from what I hear on the streets, their president a man who goes by the name of Ghost is fair, if you go about it the right way. After we speak with those two we can go to Southport and look at that property, and hopefully buy it”.

Banging the now empty beer bottle down, I smile happily, “I think it would be best to bunk down here tonight and head out first thing in the morning”.

Tex stands up stretching and rubbing his belly, “do you think we will have any trouble with Wolf and that fat fuck Pain?”.

I scratch my chin and answer in him as honestly as possible, “yeh…I think we are going to get some back lash from him and the rest of our old brothers, but I look at it like this. Wolf the bastard sided wrong, when he picked to save Pain and his stupid idea of selling his own daughter. He dug that hole on his own and he should be the one to get himself out of it”.

Pointing at Rock, I go with an idea, I have had spinning in my head about Harmony, “brother if I set you up with all the top-notch computer gear I can find, can you find little Harmony before her father does so we can keep her safe? Remember the only lead on her and her mother was the Brisbane mafia though…...”.

Rock looks me straight in the eye and smiles broadly, “man I can take over the world with one laptop and box of Twinkies. I could have found her months ago, but the prez said to let it lie and to not say anything, so I didn’t”.

Standing up suddenly, my chair slams back against the wall behind me, I looked him the eye and roared, “that motherfucking cunt. Well that is the first thing to change around here. I am going to get my fucking woman back. All of you should know, I claimed little Harmony when she was ten years old, to be my future ol’ lady and when I finally find her, I am going to make her officially mine in all the ways that matter. You all cool with that?”

My brothers all smiled their understanding, and began to move away to find somewhere to sleep. Tex comes to stand beside me, slapping me on the back hard, “always knew you like the weird ones and now I know for sure you are off your rocker. Harmony is the perfect choice for you my friend and I will happily help you find her. It wasn’t right that they had to run like that, but knowing Pain like I do, I couldn’t blame them for it”. I didn’t know what to say to the confusing bastard, so I just turned around and reset the alarm before going to bed.

As I laid down in bed twenty minutes later, I looked out my open window and whispered a simply promise, “Yes, she will be mine one way or another…...”

  Chapter three

  Harmony

The week after we made it safely to Samuels island, I went to him in the back-garden gazebo, to talk to him and found him sitting out there with my momma. As I stood back a little, I could already see, she looked so much happier and that was all because of the man sitting with her, holding her hand. When I had stop behind that tree and watched silently, I smiled when he ran his hand gently down her bruised face, before he slowly leaned in and kissed her softly on her lips.

When they both came up for air, I smiled and came out of my hiding spot. Walking up to our rescuer, I looked at him and simply asked one favour of him, “um…Samuel, can I ask you something?”.

Him and my momma both look away from each other, to turn to me smiling warmly and he says, “yes sweetheart, what is it you are after?”.

I walk around to the front of him and stand for a few moments, before taking a deep fortifying breath in and going for it, “I need you to help me train to fight. I want to be able to deal with my father and make him pay for what he has done, to momma and me”.

Momma leans slowly forward from her laid-back position in her chair and waves me over to her. I walk quickly to her and stand directly in front of her, when she takes my hands into hers and cries silently, “baby, why do you need to fight? You have already done so much for us and now that we have Samuel to back us up, we don’t have to live in fear anymore”.

I look deeply into her eyes and see a deep, seeded sadness, put there but my poor excuse for a father. I go down on my small knees in front of her and lay my head down on her lap. As my mother slowly strokes my long hair, I try to keep myself from crying, by taking a few deep breaths in.

When I calmed, my racing heart a little, I lift my tear stained face and told her everything I was going to do, “momma, I promised myself when we left him, that one day I was going to take daddy down for what he has done to us, and I plan to keep that solemn promise. He has already taken so much from you and I don’t want him to get away with it any longer. You always told me, I have a very old soul with the way I see things in the world. So, I give you my word, he will never be able to hurt you again, or anyone else if I have my way. I just need a little help and guidance to make that promise come true”.

Jumping up, I begin to pace in front of my new family before turning my blue-eyed gaze back on to Samuel. Looking at him straight on, I stand tall with a ramrod back and tell him confidently, “will you help me or do I need to figure it out for myself. I am going to do what I said Samuel and I know I am going to need your help to make him pay”.

Samuel lets go of momma’s hand and gets up from his chair to come and stand in front of me. He gently puts his hands on my shoulders to stop me from pacing and smiles down at me, “you’re a stubborn little thing aren’t you. I knew the moment I saw you, I knew you were going to be just like your beautiful mother. So yes, little one, I will help you and just to make myself clear sweetheart, I promise I am going to protect you and your mother, until the day I die. You will always have a safe place on my island honey and great place to find yourself”.

When I looked up at him, with my tears running down my pink cheeks, I could tell he meant every word he had spoken and I knew he would keep his word and protect us. Sighing sadly, I can honestly say, my father never made me a promise like that in my entire life and that makes the promise Samuel just made, mean even more to me.

Looking at him that day, I could see deep into his heart,
that he meant everything he said and he kept his promise to me. After he got my mother settled into our new home, he had brought a different fighting teacher to me every couple of years for ten years. My first teacher taught me for four years. I enjoyed learning all the different types of martial arts, he knew. His name was Master Chan Ho and he was one of the toughest men I came to know, besides Samuel my new stepfather. Yes, he became my stepfather, just one month after momma got her divorce finalised, I was happy for her and my new loving daddy.

Master Ho taught me that there is nothing in this universe, that was too hard to conquer, if we had the will to work for it. He was the one that taught me, how to use the two samurai katana swords, I have always strapped to my back nowadays. Smiling fondly, I remember the long months, that he took, to teach me the lessons of meditation and pressure points. Those simply lessons still serve me to this day.

The master stayed on the island after my training finished, to take a time of respite and relaxation. Also, on unexpected days’ afterword, he would attack me for the fun of it. All though he tried hard, he just couldn’t quite beat me, as the student had surpassed the master and he couldn’t be prouder.

My second teacher was a captain in the Australian defence forces and navy seal. His name was Captain Jack Forbes and he became another of my best friends on the island. He taught me how to survive in the forests surrounding my home, with Samuel and my momma watching on from the castles battlements. Some days we wouldn’t come home, for days, as the forest would just call out to the both of us. He taught me how to read tracks and scat. I can set up and dismantle a camp within minutes. Plus, I found I was very adept at just disappearing into the foliage for hours on end. That lesson really pissed off the Captain, as he couldn’t find me, until he fell in a pig wallow and got me giggling like a little girl.

The week before I turned eighteen, we were sitting on a large rock cropping, overlooking the crystal blue bay, when I looked at the captain seriously and asked him, “have you ever thought about being something else besides a military man captain?”.

He looks at me and smiles genuinely, “I love the military and all its structure but lately I have begun to think, it is time for me to find something new do with my life, why?”

I look at this strong man, who has helped me grow into the woman I am today and as I smile back at him just as warmly, I couldn’t help but think he is one good looking guy. When you look at him, all you see is a blonde haired, green eyed muscled man, with a strong looking face. He is fifteen years older, than my seventeen years but he doesn’t look a day over twenty-five or so. He has the buzz cut of an enlisted marine still and the build of a man in his prime of life. The captain chuckles softly, as I sit there staring at him doe eyed, wondering what was so funny.

He puts his hand on my shoulder and reminds me I asked him a question, “why did you want to know sweetheart?”.

Shaking my head, my black rope of plaited hair swings around and sits on my shoulder, before I answer him. Rubbing my hands together, I turn and look at him head on, “first some back story before I answer your question, alright?”. He nods his head without saying anything and I go on, “when I was eleven years old and being trained by master Ho, my momma fell in love with Samuel and soon after married him”.

He nods again silently, “well when he did that, he started to give me an allowance to spend online however I wanted to and it would get delivered every time Thomas went to the main land. Well since I couldn’t find anything I materially wanted, I decided to do what my new dad does and I invested it, in the stock market. My first week of allowance turned from one hundred dollars, to one thousand in less than a day and when I showed Samuel what I had done, he couldn’t have been happier. He told me I had the Midas touch, you know like everything I touched turns to gold, but all I did was look at the people that owned the investment companies and went on how they looked on paper. Anyway, every week after that, I invested in different companies on line and my bank account grew from my first one hundred dollars to a cool thirty million today and it keeps on going up and up. When I looked at my account this morning, I decided it was time I made my ten-year-old self’s dream come true and create my own biker club, on the main land. I know master Ho would be interested in my club, as he is interested in anything Australian lately and Thomas Phillips, you know Samuel’s pilot, well he is interested in it too. That is why I asked what you are interested in, besides the military. Would you like to be a member of my motorcycle club?”.

He looks at me and grins wide, “first to confirm I have this right, you want to be a prez of a motorcycle club and not a socialite or a debutante? And you want me to join and become a member under your command?”.

Narrowing my eyes at him I smirk, “yes I want to be a president for a Mc club. Actually, my friend, I have a name already for my club and that is….”, I pause as I put my hands up in the air and smile sweetly back at him, “The Grim Reapers”.

He looks at me smiling and rubs his scruffy chin, “and pray tell, what kind of club are we going to be Mmmm….”?

I turn around and look back out to sea before answering him truthfully, “I am going to help my stepfather ship his weapons and software around the country for a huge percentage of his profits. He says he only does it for fun now, as he has more money than god and before you say anything, yes, my momma knows about him and me wanting to do this. Samuel swore to us years ago, that he wouldn’t lie to us or hurt us in anyway and he hasn’t broken that promise yet. Any who, I sat down last night and had a look at properties on the outskirts of Brisbane, near heavily forested areas and found something. There is this one place, I would like to look at but momma says I have to take an adult with me and I was hoping you would come with me and Thomas”. I blurted out the last part, so I don’t look like a bloody kid. Slapping my hands over my face in embarrassment, I peak through them when I hear him chuckling, and let my hands fall before screeching out, “what!!!”.

“Honey, you have been an adult since the first day you came here. David told me that when you rescued your mother and yourself from that living hell, you have acted like a grown up ever since”. I look at him to see if he was screwing with me and find nothing but honesty staring back at me.

When I first told the Captain and master Ho my full story on how we got here in the first place, they never judged me for what we did. In fact, they both think I was a brave little girl and would grow up to be an even greater woman.

Huffing I smile at him, “thanks Captain, but I try not to remember those day’s much as they freak me the hell out”. I look down at my hands, that were resting in my lap, “So…I…um…. I am going to be eighteen next week and am going to be leaving home, but before that, I need to find a new home to go to. Will you come, so my momma doesn’t worry and make Samuel keep me here?”.

Jack looks at how determined I was and nods, “sure honey, I’ll come with you and be in your club. What am I going to be in this Grim Reapers club of yours hmm…...?”.

I smile so big at his acceptance; I jump up and hug him tightly. Stepping back, I tell him straight, “you captain, are going to be, my vice president and Master Ho is going to be my lead enforcer, because he likes being sneaky. Oh…. what road name do you want? The Master actually made his choice to be called Master Ho would you believe it….”. Master said to me, when I asked him the same question as the captain, and that was does he want his road name to be. He very stoically told me he earned the title of Master and would like everyone to know he is no push over and keep the name.

My friend chuckles at the master and his warped sense of humour before rubbing his chin, “what would you call me sweetheart?”.

I look at him seriously and try to think of the perfect name for him and then it hits me, right in the chest, “I think the perfect name for you is Sniper as you can, out shoot anyone I know, well except for me of course but hey no one’s perfect. Do you like that name or do you want another?”.

Waiting on tender hooks, I si
t and stare at him closely, waiting for the yeh or nay verdict, “I like the name and I think I like the idea of us going property hunting together. As my first suggestion, as your vice president I think Master Ho should come along for the ride and put in his input on our new home base”.

I nod my head in agreement and get up, dusting myself off, “let’s go Sniper, we have a new home to find….”

After that day, everything went at warp speed and I find myself here in the present day, at the tender age of twenty years old. We had found the perfect place to set up shop, so to speak in a place about twenty minutes out from the edge of Brisbane and it was perfect for what I had planned for my club. The property I bought, had one building on it the size of a small plantation mansion but it was the land I was interested in. The house came with an old story about series of tunnels and rooms littered underground, that we found were in great condition.

The place used to belong to a big-time mobster back in the fucking nineteen twenties’ and he used the place to run his moonshine through to the local towns nearby and passed the coppers. When we got down there and had a good look around, I knew the place was perfect. It took us a whole year to fix the place up, the way I wanted it before we opened for business but it was worth it. I had all the tunnels redone and reinforced, for structural reasons. Each of the fifty living quarters were redone as well and not a cent spared on the luxury. The main areas were all fixed up to be self-reliant and quality controlled. Since everything was below ground, I made sure the ventilation system was top notch and anti-tamper proof. The main house basement housed the main control room for all the electronic and computer systems, in a room surrounded with enough security to keep the prime minister of Australia happy.

We made the main house look like it was alone on the property and all the shrubbery out back was left in place, to disguise our unground base. I made sure there were other ways to get in and out of the place, just in case of attack. There is one exit that is in the manor, anther one was my private entrance of a flatbed elevator hidden in the shrubbery and the third was at the back of the property with security on it tighter then fort Knox.
